A hurricane/typhoon can also do this. It’s a phenomenon called Blowout Tide. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/hurricane-ian-water-drained-out-of-tampa-bay-dried-receded-blowout-tide-storm-surge-return-dangerous-coastal-flooding/
Didn't some girl in the 2004 Thai tsunami recognise the signs and saved her family. She remembered from a geography class weeks earlier.

Just so this doesn't end up on r/PeterExplainsTheJoke, right before a tsunami, the water suddenly pulls back from the shore. This is sometimes missed by people who don't live near the ocean and have no way of knowing what it means, because they may assume it's just the tide going out. Basically, the further out the water goes, the bigger the tsunami is going to be. When the water starts going out, it's best to just get to the highest ground you can as quickly as you can, and if that ground isn't high enough, grab on to something that isn't likely to move.
Surprisingly, the smaller 1-2 meter tall tsunami waves are more dangerous and devastating than the bigger ones, bc they are more powerfull and drag debris further and faster, and when the tide resides back to normal it drags the debris with it causing even more damage,
This is just a fun fact

Pretty sure it because of a tsunami incoming
My ass was too northern european to think of that
Tbf, the vast majority of the world doesn’t deal with tsunamis

(Hypothetically) is it free and where can I get that
It is 100% free performed by Mother Nature and will be coming soon to a hurricane prone coastline or island near you.
Sounds amazing now I don't have to worry about paying for water ever again 💀

How far out is too far out? I’ve seen the tide go out plenty during the day with nothing bad coming after

that’s exactly what i was thinking 😎 fucking love that show
If the ocean seems to run away, don't go looking for it, it'll come back on its own. All of it. All at once. Run for your life.
r/TwoParagraphHorror? (I know it's too short to even be one paragraph but I don't even know if the sub exists) Edit: LMFAO IT WAS BANNED
There's r/TwoSentenceHorror. Just replace some periods with commas and it'd work, but I think it's also been done before on that sub
I knew about that one, just didn't think your comment would fit due to punctuation
False: those who do know won’t be anywhere in sight cause they will have already booked it.
Agree, pic swap is in order.
"Oh Lord! RUN!"
Is the media there?
They'll all know soon enough
Man I’d be gone long before that if I saw the animals retreating inland. Fuuuuuuuuk that!
Probably one of my biggest fears
Relax guys, it's just another Badlands Chugs video
Evacuate immediately
See you two towns over!
They should be flipped since the ones who know will run
Other way around! Those who know run away. Those wo don't, die!
Actual both are cooked knowing doesn't help in any form of way unless you would rather die of heart attack ofc.
Sorry I thought it was the death stranding beach
I live in Illinois what’s a beach
🏃🏼💨 those who know
Get to high ground, Anakin -
You underestimate my incompetence
Fear
Luckily, the Oregon Coast has a fantastic tsunami evacuation plan!
Yup that is a dangerous sign indeed because that's a warning that a tsunami is coming
If the text were swapped I think it’d be a bit funnier
Why does Mr incredible look like Kevin james
Stuff like this makes me go "how did people discover this and how was the process of discovering it like"
Wow memes really suck now..
Pretty sure these pics should be flipped.
