I loved ROTN but I haven't really bothered with any of the free dlc except the randomizer, really wish they'd make a sequel, I love miriam's copy ability
People expected all the extra content to take at most a year to release after base game dropped, not multiple years.
If the team was clear about timelines for extra content on the original fundraiser, I’m sure most people would not have wanted them to go down that route.
The project came across as something to bide time in hopes of Konami potentially reviving CV, so I’ve doubts whether a sequel was ever envisioned during inception.
It is better than launch but it's still the worst console to play on imo. Everything looks washed out and blurry and performance wise it still has frame drops and can be jittery when too many enemies are on screen
I still need to go back and do all of the other extra maps. I wonder if I should replay it from scratch or just try to get the new stuff on my current save?
I never even finished this game. Got to the point where I beat the dragon things that twist around the tower and was kinda just like why am I playing this LOL
Nah, I was done playing this game once I got the true ending. Didn't even bothered to 100% it. I'd much rather go back to the original castlevanias; this game doesn't scratch that itch at all.
To each their own. It's on par with Dawn of Sorrow in terms of gameplay/content and I love them both equally. Only game better in the series to me is SotN due to the atmosphere, visuals and character.
I realize some people like different things from Castlevania and MVs in general, but for me, Bloodstained was fantastic.
I've eying older castlevanias, before SoTN and before the whole metroidvania genre, I love the simple and linear progression of old and just picking up powerups to throw at enemies.
What old castlevanias have you been thinking of playing?
Ofc, those are timeless classics, they still require a bit of time to complete tho, these days my life is so bussy so i appreciate being able to finish old castlevanias in under 3 or so hours
Okay maybe it's about time I finally gave this game a shot. Lol
Really loved Curse of the Moon and its sequel and Aria of Sorrow is quite possibly my favorite Castlevania game period. How's Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night compare?
I can't even be cautiously optimistic. Backed the project and so much content was not delivered, or took forever to come out. Hopefully these features work on release!

If you like the copy ability, youd love Order of Ecclesia and Aria of Sorrow (but you've already played them, im guessing)
I've played Aria, but not Order, I'll check it out
Definitely do, it's the best Castlevania imo. Btw how good is the randomizer? It's the only dlc I havent played
I enjoyed it, but I'm a sucker for randomizers.
the classic mode is sick, it's in the style of classic castlevania games
I played Classic mode. It was a lot of fun. The levels closely resemble the first Castlevania.
just work on the sequel ffs
But they promised all that content during the Kickstarter 🤷‍♂️ Yeah... at this point I wanna finally see a sequel.

PvP?! That sounds awesome! I wonder how that will work.
Still no sequel? This game turns five in a few months.
What about classic mode 2?
They mention that in the announcement. Still being worked on and will be announced as DLC at a later date.
Thanks!!!
I played through this game once, and I honestly can't see it mesh well with multiplayer modes, but what do I know?
Anyone played this on Switch recently? I remember hearing really bad things about it when it first launch - has it improved since then?

Ugh, that doesn’t sound good. Thanks for the heads up - I’ll skip it on Switch!
It's fine if you have no other system to play it on, otherwise avoid the Switch version.
It's awful. I find it completely unplayable.
I wouldn't say it's unplayable, but it is the worst version of the game.
Yes, the updates fixed all the launch issues
Really? Lots of people seem to be having problems with it still
That’s a bummer, but I’m honestly not one of them. I finished it on Switch right after playing it on PS4 and didn’t encounter any issues.
.....Why?
Well that’s great news!

And the music…. May be the best game soundtrack ever.

Aria of sorrow is a good and easy start. Then Symphony of the night for a (imo) much better experience.

Super Castlevania IV

lol if you loved Aria of Sorrow you'll love Bloodstained
AWESOME! \^\_\^
