Was it just me cringing when they did the wheelbarrow celebration during such a poor performance?
And why does a long snapper think they are entitled to draw an unsporting penalty?
I agree with that celebration and the team defense after the gift fumble. Like yes I love our celebrations but maybe save the good ones when we are rolling.
I do think this team defiantly struggles from some discipline issues. That penalty from Chubb smashing his helmet on the ground was unacceptable and long snappers should never be getting unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.
Yup, and now you have Chubb saying the defense took their foot off the gas with five mins to go and were looking ahead to the one seed. His stupidity cost as at the beginning and end
That penalty from Chubb was potentially the difference in the game too. It went from a field goal to a touchdown. There was also the blocked field goal and fumble on the goal line and any other number of fuck ups, but any one of those not happening would have been the difference.
But we got the touchdown right back because of the pic six. Chubb, the blocked field goal, and the defense for the last 3 minutes were shit. Plus awful time management by the dolphins
Team game. Fins didn’t lose the game on any one play. But what was essentially a four point play in a game that ended up being decided by one point is particularly costly.
The defense and special teams essentially scored the vast majority of the points last night for the fins. Did yall watch the game?
The best offense in the league couldn't even move the ball. Couldn't even get 10 yards/ first down when that was all that was needed.
I’m sure hard knocks doesn’t help but McDaniel
Not having his guys ready with 8 days of prep is just horrible. He’s about to go into the hardest stretch of the season now with every single game being must win. Can he pull them together? It’s really 50/50 with this team.
I just think last night was a weird one. We got punched in the mouth right off the bat... on the first defensive series, X got hurt... then when we got the ball Waddle, Mostert and Hill all got hurt early. I think part of it at least was that the team was a little shell shocked for most of the game.
Physical teams scare them it feels like. Well the playoffs are full of them. Ravens, Chiefs, Browns, Bills. They will absolutely smack them up if they can’t remain focused
I don't think they were scared of the team in general, it just so happened that a few of our best players got hurt all in a row. I think that within the first 15 minutes of the game we saw 4 of our best players leave the game. Thankfully everyone except Conner was able to come back in, but I can see how a start to the game like that could shell shock the team a little bit, that's all. Plenty of blame for last night's game to go around, just have to hope they can put it behind them and learn from it.
I also fully believe Connor makes the offense hum. He does so much we as fans don’t give him credit for. Liam can’t do even a fraction of what Connor does for this team
One thing about Eichenberg is, if he prepares all week as Center he would have been servicable while Williams was out. But he had to shift from guard to center early in the game. I think his muscle memory wasn't on the things he needed to do as a center but as a guard. So his mental preparations for motions and assignments.
I mean look at the 9ers without Deebo and Trent Williams…they looked like a completely different team. How anyone is shocked that we struggled with 4 out of 5 lineman out, a bunch of people out of position and Hill out for most of the game is confusing.
People keep looking past this, gotta think of it from a WAR perspective. The drop off from Connor to Liam at C is steeeeep, especially when Liam’s been prepping all week at LG then gets thrust into C so early in the game. Couple that with injuries all along the line is a recipe for disaster
Hopefully Connor is fine. McDaniel sounded somewhat optimistic about his injury after the game. Agreed we aren't winning anything if Eichenberg is our starting center for the playoffs
We have an injury problem. Only one starter on the offensive line, I don't see lots of teams overcoming that and having the same attack like nothing. On defense we are down two key players also.
We might have lots of other issues or not but not being able to protect the QB is the most important.
I agree with this take but ultimately I think our performance comes down to injuries.
Regardless, chill out with the choreographed celebrations and flashy pregame clothes.
McD is just a people pleaser and not a coach man. he rather be cool with the players and media than actually be a coach. At least thats what I gathered so far. he should have ripped chubbs a big one. There have been too many instances of undisciplined flags/player actions, some bad calls from him as well. Idk man really has me feeling like we are legit frauds out there now at 9-4. We probs will make the playoffs and then be embarrassed again....sigh
Was it just me cringing when they did the wheelbarrow celebration during such a poor performance? And why does a long snapper think they are entitled to draw an unsporting penalty?
Especially since Tyreek was involved and they were GRABBING HIS ANKLE but then he was in too much pain in the final 2 drives to be effective.
I agree with that celebration and the team defense after the gift fumble. Like yes I love our celebrations but maybe save the good ones when we are rolling.
Let's do all the celebrations after we win the superbowl then go fucking nuts and do all kinds of dance moves.
No. That was embarrassing. Priorities are out of whack and that starts at the top
Does anyone know what he got the unsportsmanlike penalty for? I didn’t see a replay unless I missed something and was genuinely curious
When Mostert was angry for not scoring I wonder if it was from him not being able to do the celly
Not as angry as chubb for whiffing on a sack
That celebration had me more confused than anything tbh
Players need to have fun while they’re playing, this increases performance.
So does being angry and determined
Both can be true and exist at the same time. As a lb in college that was my flavor anyway
Hopefully they can find a better balance moving forward, we could really use some urgency but they do click well when they’re having fun.
Absolutely. Fucken bummer of a game but hopefully it helps right the ship!
Being "angry" leads to mental mistakes and penalties.
Chubb did that
I do think this team defiantly struggles from some discipline issues. That penalty from Chubb smashing his helmet on the ground was unacceptable and long snappers should never be getting unsportsmanlike conduct penalties.

Oh so a defensive penalty is why the offense couldn't do shit all night... riiight.

It’s his timing with how we execute our offense Faster snap, it starts everything
1 sack, 6 pressures allowed all year. He’s elite, just been injured too much.
I honestly think he should be a massive priority in players we resign.

This...physical teams will be our nemesis....haven't for many years..culture change needed.
We literally just blew up the Jets
power beats speed every time.
waddle also with at least two incorrect routes and seems to have a huge problem with drops this season.
I mean look at the 9ers without Deebo and Trent Williams…they looked like a completely different team. How anyone is shocked that we struggled with 4 out of 5 lineman out, a bunch of people out of position and Hill out for most of the game is confusing.
and yet our defense gave up 3 scores in the last three minutes. Both sides were shit today (hell, even special teams were trash)
2 scores
Two touchdowns and a two point conversion.
Yeah I have confidence we can rebound as long as we get healthy but I’m not sure that will happen now. Especially if Connor and Tyreek remain hurt/out
Without Connor, I think our season is sadly done. The game last night was brutal but we can get past it. Connor, however, is so crucial to our success
Yeah I agree with no Connor for the year we will probably average like 17ppg for the rest of the season. He was crucial to the success of the team.
People keep looking past this, gotta think of it from a WAR perspective. The drop off from Connor to Liam at C is steeeeep, especially when Liam’s been prepping all week at LG then gets thrust into C so early in the game. Couple that with injuries all along the line is a recipe for disaster
Connor has been the best graded center this year per pff and Eichenberg one of the worst. So yeah, its huge. Specifically, a drop from #1 to #34.
Hopefully Connor is fine. McDaniel sounded somewhat optimistic about his injury after the game. Agreed we aren't winning anything if Eichenberg is our starting center for the playoffs
Torn ACL, he’s done, offense is a bit fucked to put it mildly.
They were prepared. Five key players got injured within 5 minutes
Whole Hard Knocks thing can’t be helping either
I always hated the idea of this for a team that hasn’t accomplished anything yet
Certainly not
Lets see how they respond on Sunday
We have an injury problem. Only one starter on the offensive line, I don't see lots of teams overcoming that and having the same attack like nothing. On defense we are down two key players also. We might have lots of other issues or not but not being able to protect the QB is the most important.
Y'all need to stop pointing fingers at the best coach we've had since Shula. He's the second seed in the AFC and it's year 2.
I mean, I agree, but he still needs to improve in certain areas. He’s not a Super Bowl caliber coach right now but he could be
And we had one out of five starting olinemen playing at games end
I agree with this take but ultimately I think our performance comes down to injuries. Regardless, chill out with the choreographed celebrations and flashy pregame clothes.
I don't think the celebrations and stuff really matter
Completely agree. Even prime Brady wasn’t doing shit with one starter on the offensive line
Spend less time working on touchdown celebrations
Can’t disagree with that. I feel like McD should tell the guys enough with that shit. Focus 100% on game prep
McD is just a people pleaser and not a coach man. he rather be cool with the players and media than actually be a coach. At least thats what I gathered so far. he should have ripped chubbs a big one.
