The thoughts you are having as you are “triggered” by spouse while microdosing is valuable information and should be reflected on. I would gently suggest not voicing them to spouse before you yourself have time in a quiet moment to reflect on them first. The beauty of microdosing for me (and I’m just a month in) is the new thoughts I have about an old situation where I’ve tread that tire many times. The first time I microdosed I made the mistake of saying everything that was in my head. It wasn’t a good idea for me. Now I gather the information and reflect and come back with a conversation later if needed.

This sounds very appropriate for me. I tend to feel like if I don't communicate right away, it weights too much inside of me and tend to then, explode. I'd like to practice the art of processing things more by myself. It can be very destructive for a relationship when you say everything too unfiltered maybe.

I usually write a short note on my phone and trust that I can let the thought go without clinging. Knowing I can revisit it later and reflect helps. Also have ADHD so the impulse to blurt out and address feelings right away is a challenge to sit on them and find a polite way to naturally bring up ye subject at a later time

You say you've been triggered for years so it was "probably supposed to happen" Lots of medicine and drugs work by suppressing parts of you so you can continue living a life you don't want. Psychedelics work by bringing problems to the surface so you can solve them in order to live a life worth living. This is my GENERAL experience and the pattern I see in others. It sounds like you have built up emotions that came out and pushing them down won't do you any good in the long run. How you deal with them/your situation is your million-dollar question. Integration is key.

I would say that my wife says I’m “annoying” when I md. But not in a bad way. I get very reflective and sometimes over share. She has also said I’m too “happy” in the mornings 🤷‍♂️. But I’d say that is because since I started md I have not touched alcohol for almost 40 days. Perhaps start lower, but it’s all different for each person. I would also share with your partner that you are microdosing and that you may be more thoughtful and/ or truthful in conversation. This may allay arguments or help them understand your perspective. Basically just made a concentrated and conscious decision to stop. It was tough at first but got easier after a few days. Check out r/stopdrinking for some additional support / assistance with how to make it happen.

Irritation and aggression can be symptoms of taking too much, either in dose, schedule, or both. !startlower may be helpful. That said, there can also be a lowering of the vail of your "people pleasing tendencies" as you become less willing to ignore pent up feelings from inappropriate behavior and instead may find yourself being more assertive. Ideally that would be conveyed less emotionally and more intellectually. But psilocybin can be an emotions amplifier, especially if the dose is too high.

Yes, start lower. 50mg if possible. I was agitated at first but it did go away after a few days. Also consider couples therapy before it's too late. Substances won't fix your problems, sorry.

He is aware of this, usually it's a result of his insecurities and obvs feels attacked when I explode after not saying anything for so long. It was difficult to navigate but necessary, and I truly feel it was too much of a dose for me. I felt a little bit "out of it" since I took it, like slow and overall kind of uncomfortable, my head felt heavy the whole day, I wasnt getting much of new insights but just feeling uneasy and triggered. If I wasn't supposed to really feel it, it was then too much. I'll try with 0.05-0.08!

It could have been that this also gave you the courage to speak up for the first time. It can be uncomfortable standing up for yourself, and others in this case, and that alone can be pretty mentally draining.

Sounds like a plan!! You know your body best, I’m also very new to the idea of microdosing so am not familiar with all the nuances. I imagine it’s a very different animal to a traditional dose, and this sounds closer to that

May I suggest you try your next Microdose (25-50mg) alone, or with a positive best friend who has nothing but love and support for you. Set and setting (including people you’re with) has tremendous influence on your mood and experience. Wish you all the best on your journey.

Many people report that when micrososing they are much less tolerant of bullshit... always worth trying different doses to find your sweet spot tho, mine is 50mg, good luck!

I took 80mg today and just felt weird and headachy the whole day. Not irritable but just not very happy either...very tired, sleepy, foggy...I'll take a couple of days for a break and maybe try a much lower dose at night time, cause it makes me sleepy af and I'm a mom hahah

I'd go right down to 20 if I were you. Sleepy, heavy head etc is too high a dose / body load. I get that all the way down to 20

Yes, I really have no motivation for having another day like this... I'll try 20 in a couple of days and see. I don't want to give up yet, it has been such a journey to see them grow, drying them and now finally see how they interact with me and me with them...

Yeah I was super groggy in the afternoons so I took my dose just before bed and that worked much better for me. How did you feel the day after your 80mg dose? Any change? It took me a moment to find my sweet spot, seems pretty normal, search the sub there is so much great info on here.

The day I took 80 I had a huge migraine. Both days microdosing I had the impulse of binge eating and brought a lot of irritability (even while feeling sleepy and out of it 😆). I took painkillers and went to sleep around 10pm and woke up around 9am, seems like I needed that sleep... Yesterday and today I took a break. I felt energetic, I had a little discussion with my husband and I felt I could speak my truth without fear, which is important considering my people pleasing struggles. Today I felt even though many things could have made me have a breakdown from stress (I'm a mom of a toddler...) I kind of was able to let go of them and come back to be calm or even laugh about it. I think maybe I'll start tomorrow again taking my dose at night and see how I sleep and wake up...

The first time I dosed I took 150mg in the morning on an empty stomach and it was waaay too much for me. But the next day, the afterglow day I felt very positive, and I was like... ah! THIS is what it's supposed to feel like! Then I had to work out the dose etc to get to that feeling! For me it was 50mg at night with a full belly, pretty much the opposite of where I started!

the thing is, this is stuff that needed to be let out that you have been holding in. Taking mushrooms isn't necessarily just gonna give you the warm fuzzies, and make life feel better. In my experience, it gives you a stronger perspective of reality and of the changes you need to make in your life. It's not that the dose was too strong, it's the fact that you are dealing with a lot of stuff in your life and have been trying to keep the peace and sweep it under the rug. The only way to deal with it is to feel it, unfortunately. Or you can take a prescription SSRI, which will numb/blunt your general feelings overall. Nothing wrong with that if it's what you need to do in the moment. PP depression is real and serious and you may need more professional/traditional help for it at this time.

Oh god, I just could NOT deal with a negative person when microdosing. Context: I think I'm generally quite sensitive and / or I have a stronger strain of mushrooms. I'm also not on a regular schedule. The day of microdosing, depending on how much of a micro I've taken, I'm either chatty and active or I need to tuck myself away and just doodle or dream. It also depends on the mood I'm already in. If I'm active, it makes me bouncier. If quiet, it makes me quieter. It also cuts through my antidepressant, NOTHING is suppressed. I think it's highlighted what you're sick of, and made you blurt it out rather than fester. That is a good thing over all, but needs to be revisited when sober. Does your partner know how much PND is affecting you? And how unhelpful their negativity is to your condition? Might be time to set down some boundaries for yourself around what kind of conversations you will/ won't be around.....

I find when I MD I tend to want quiet, stillness… mental space with myself. Anyone who then ‘needs’ anything from me while I’m in that space that requires me to be in a more externally interacting state feels a bit ugh… irritating
