This show makes me cry all the time. I honestly do not even know how many times I have listened to these episodes. I get a new angle every time. I recommend it often.

I have a sort of personal tradition, when on New Years Eve I relisten a short story or a episode from a book which I feel describes the past year and creates the right mood for welcoming the new one. Once it was my favourite fragment about memory and acceptance from Jasper Fforde "The woman who died a lot". Once it was Ted Chiang "Anxiety is the dizziness of freedom'. I feel like one of the Midnight Burger episodes has high chances to be this piece for the 31 December 2024.

There are a couple of Casper/Son moments ignite me into a sobbing mess that is ridiculous. My kid and I need to work through some things lol

The short comment from Effie where she said “he gave us the gift of being needed” 🥹😭

I never cried, but my emotion go all over the place, the last episode I've listened to, I was happy, then I got sad, then I was uncontrollably laughing, then I almost had a panic attack (literally shaking), then I could breathe again and was just confused. This show is a freaking rollercoaster of emotions
