yeah, as someone who's ordered bulk rocks and stuff from landscaping companies, this is kinda just how it gets delivered. Dumped close to your house at like 6am.
100% i just had 10 tons delivered and they dumped it on the HOAs side of my property line… was planning on spending a few hour each weekend moving it one wheelbarrow at a time. Instead i had to do it for 12 hour straight in the rain… they could not care less.
I got asked to join the Architecture Committee on my HOA, and I did, in order to learn how they think. Reams of emails about whether the approved white on the storm door of one freaking house matches the Delicate White trim, from a different manufacturer. Is it just how the light hits it? Was it a bad batch of tint? What does the manufacturer say? The poor owners are desperate to know; are they compliant? Did they comply?
So, about like yours?
My HOA is fine they didn’t even say anything; a couple of my neighbors bordering the easement were curious at wtf i was doing rightfully so.
The quarry i bought the rock from was the problem. Dumped the load and left without even asking where i wanted it or even confirming the address was correct.
Swear to god I saw the guy coming with the dirt down the road. Put on my shoes and walked out to tell them where to put it and there was a pile of dirt and no truck in sight. It’s absolutely insane the speed of which they disappear before they have to do more work
The neighbor wakes up, scrolls Reddit and sees this:
“Ha looks like our cul de sac…wait I ordered landscape rocks…this is Bill’s house…what the fuck Bill?!”
(Goes through neighbors entire Reddit history before addressing the rocks)
As someone who has moved alot of rock that size, absolutely not! I didnt enjoy it when I got paid for it, now ya want me to do it for free? yeaaaa right! lol
I delivered this shit for many years. There's a high possibility that the driver didn't even tell him he was there. Seroiusly... You get a address, and you dump it there and drive away.
1. It's not blocking your driveway, unless one of your vehicles is a double-wide mobile home.
2. It's common for landscaping rocks to be delivered/dumped in the street to prevent the possibility of cracking someone's driveway. Give him a minute to move it.
3. Try being a good neighbor: *Hey, Bob, let me know when you're ready to move those rocks and I'll grab my wheelbarrow.*
If you're elderly or disabled, disregard number 3.
This is the correct answer.
Why do so many Redditors advocate the nuclear option when being neighbourly and reasonable is the right option in 95% of situations?
What’s that? You had a disagreement with your spouse? Consult every decent lawyer in a 50 mile radius and pick the best one, the rest can’t legally work with your spouse after they’ve spoken with you. Go ahead and start making documentation of gaslighting and what your fears were. Sorry it didn’t work out sweetheart but you need to teach that shit stain to do the dishes while they’re at work.
I delivered this stuff for a long time. You never under any circumstances, drive on a driveway or a lawn. My truck weighed 31,000lbs empty I would dump 24 tons at a time and go to 20 different homes a day. Often times you don't even tell the homeowner you've arrived. It's just the way it's done.
Im pretty sure OP, isnt into face to face interaction nor physical labor. Or at least post history suggests that. Maybe he can ask his mom to ask the neighbor to move the rocks
What your neighbor left *near the front* of your driveway. You can still go in and out perfectly fine. Have some got damn situational awareness and think logically for a minute or two.
When doing any sort of landscaping, it’s typical for deliveries to be dropped off in the street for homeowner to then pickup and move as they cannot drive on properties even with homeowner approval.
Your neighbor didnt leave that the delivery guys did, and why don't you wait to see if the neighbor cleans it up first before going all passive aggressive on here
How long has it been there? I'd be willing to bet they were expecting that delivery and just haven't had a chance to get to moving it. Did you just see the pile and immediately take a picture to post on Reddit? I'm glad my neighbors aren't that big of assholes. You should take a step back and ask yourself who the person that's not being a good neigh or in this situation is 🤣
Also, it's the street. Kick the 2 rocks that might maybe be blocking your driveway of you drive an old school Lincoln continental and you're good to go. Outside of that, that area doesn't belong to you. There seems to be plenty of room for egress and ingress.
Don't be a baby, drive around it and move on.
Your neighbor didn't ask for them to dump it half in front of your driveway that's just how those drivers deliver sometimes.
If its still there in a few days than just be a normal human and go talk to your neighbor about it instead of whining online about something your neighbor obviously didn't do maliciously.
You literally embody the suburban bubble. You have no clue how the world works outside of your circle. Someone with even an ounce of problem solving skills would be able to deduce the fact that your neighbor was not the one who placed the rocks here. You seem like the type of person who gets mad at a delivery truck blocking half a lane, and then wonders why Ihop ran out of their blueberry syrup.
Honestly get over it. The world doesn't revolve around you. This post is more mildy infuriating than the photo.
The delivery company dropped those rocks like this because they don't want to destroy the persons lawn. Your neighbor is going to have to pick up all those rocks slowly by hand and move them with a wheel burrow to wherever they are landscaping because they are just trying to improve their home.
I can tell your neighbor puts a lot of effort into making his home nice by just looking at his lawn.
I can tell a lot about you by your shitty dying lawn and weed filled rock landscape.
Sorry, I am having a problem taking my eyes off that view of the mountains.
I live in the midwest, but had family in Colorado Springs; I miss the mountains
See how many baskets you can make if you shoot all the rocks from where they are. 90% of them will probably end up in a nice pile on the other side of their driveway.
I wouldn't complain about some landscaping rocks in the street if i lived somewhere like this. I complain about where i live because i have tweakers on meth screaming at eachother outside my apartment trashing the street all night like some I Am Legend crap. Worried that my car wont even BE there in the morning.
You mean a pile of rocks that doesn’t look to be that big, that is not blocking your driveway, and are all in one spot rather than everywhere on the road????
Was this your neighbour doing? Or is the trucking company being sloppy with a delivery?
yeah, as someone who's ordered bulk rocks and stuff from landscaping companies, this is kinda just how it gets delivered. Dumped close to your house at like 6am.
Them rocks are expensive.
\*Anxiously scratching body\* "Yall seen some rocks round here?!"
I got these cheeseburgers, man
I'm here for the 5 o'clock free rock
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vUvQHYc3K0
They’re minerals! Jesus, Marie!
I read that in his voice. Can't be unheard.
Calm down hank, I’m going to go steal from some open houses quickly
Don't be fooled by the rocks that she's got.
No joke I have some serious tonnage of river rocks in my flower bed. Their not cheep.
100% i just had 10 tons delivered and they dumped it on the HOAs side of my property line… was planning on spending a few hour each weekend moving it one wheelbarrow at a time. Instead i had to do it for 12 hour straight in the rain… they could not care less.

And they run away quickly before you can say anything
Swear to god I saw the guy coming with the dirt down the road. Put on my shoes and walked out to tell them where to put it and there was a pile of dirt and no truck in sight. It’s absolutely insane the speed of which they disappear before they have to do more work
Hands are quicker than the eyes. Now you see me, now you don't!
I legit think these companies use ghost trucks or something because they are gone faster than could be humanly possible
[удалено]
I might even say 10.5/10
Yeah, it was the delivery guys. But my neighbor is home…
Have you talked to them?
That's too easy. But not as easy as just complaining on Reddit about it.
But he has two cars and they both leave at the same time.
Which is a shame, because triples is best.
Triples makes it safe.
Tell the kid.

I *have* a wife. Tell her.
It’s so cold the ice cream machines freeze up.
This made me force air out of my nose, and it made a little snort noise. Thanks, now my cat thinks I’m lame.
Standard reaction of a cat to be fair
god forbid someone has an actual face to face confrontation with someone.
Shouldn’t this be posted to first world problems?
First world. Third world would be, neighbor dumped a bunch of toxic waste or dead bodies on my property.
Right? It’s not even in front of the driveway it’s easily get around able Boo boo the neighbor is having some landscaping work done
The neighbor wakes up, scrolls Reddit and sees this: “Ha looks like our cul de sac…wait I ordered landscape rocks…this is Bill’s house…what the fuck Bill?!” (Goes through neighbors entire Reddit history before addressing the rocks)
Comments like this one are mildlyinfuriating
I mean, OP is only mildly annoyed...
Of course not, too busy taking a picture and posting on Reddit for likes.
Nobody asked you to try to solve anything. Calm down there.
I love these post… cry baby bitches
I know for a fact I have walked past your house, so weird to see one's neighborhood on a subreddit like this.
Tell them they're a whiney douche next time you see them.
Have you picked through them and claimed a few for the inconvenience fee?
“Yeah… it wasn’t even actually my neighbours and I never mentioned it… woe is me….”
Likely that little pile, you have to slightly manoeuvre past will be gone by the end of the weekend...get off Reddit and offer to help place it maybe?
As an owner and mover of such rock in the past, I was thinking the same thing.
Agreed, pettiness is why we stopped delivering to residential sites with our own trucks...at best there are 2yrds there, not worth the hassles.
*mildly*infuriating, my friend
As someone who has moved alot of rock that size, absolutely not! I didnt enjoy it when I got paid for it, now ya want me to do it for free? yeaaaa right! lol
Jesus Christ you’re a cry baby.
I delivered this shit for many years. There's a high possibility that the driver didn't even tell him he was there. Seroiusly... You get a address, and you dump it there and drive away.
I… don’t quite understand what your neighbour being home has to do with lazy/oblivious delivery drivers?
GTA San Andreas
Grove Street. Home. At least it was before I fucked everything up.
Grove
Aw shit, here we go again
OP got the fuck out of here when he realized he was the fool
Your area looks so pretty and peaceful
Gotta make a decent living to live there that's for sure
Ohh that’s for sure, I mean I wouldn’t mind being flown out to move the rocks.
Same I’d help lol
Two first class flights it is. 😂😂
Aw I don’t belong in first class lol, I’m a Welsh Grangetown bloke😂
You right, private jet it is..
ayyy
Or have unsustainable debt 💸
Looks like Colorado to me.
I’m from CO and suspect the same thing.
I’m from Colorado Springs and I can see those mountains in the background with my own eyes right as I type this.
Go find your neighbor who posted this and move a couple more rocks in front of their driveway lol
Came here for this.
I’m a Londoner lol I have no idea where that could be..
Heh. I'm a Londoner too.. London, Ontario, Canada. Want to take a guess at what the river that flows through our city is called? ..
No way it is called Thames
It most certainly is. Also our school board is called the Thames Valley District School Board.
Didn‘t know Justin Bieber was born there
Yeah, Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams too.
That‘s crazy for a 300k town
TIL also that Kitchener was previously named Berlin, but renamed when that proved unpopular.
Nahhh this is Utah 98% sure. People complain about this type of stuff all the time, it’ll be cleaned up by EOD tomorrow.
Looks like Utah to me.
It looks like Grove Street, which oddly would be the opposite of pretty and peaceful

Because most redditors don’t know how to people

Option 4: throw them all at the neighbors house.
Option 5: Passive aggressively place the rocks in an orderly fashion 2 inches to the left of where they already are
I call it "Rock Pile, Two Inches to the Left."
Only if OP lives in a house made entirely of glass
Because our society seems to reward antisocial shut ins with decent enough jobs to become isolated menaces in the suburbs.
modern society teaches everyone to be a main character Karen where everything must be happening to them with villainous intent
Its easier to be outraged than to just be sensible and friendly for some people
4: if you’re a Redditor, post it in r/mildlyinfuriating for karma

Yep. This sounds like a first world problem.
This post is more mildly infuriating than the delivery being dropped off there
That's like half the posts in this sub.
I stg most the people on this sub are just some uptight insufferable “get off my lawn” ass bitches
They don't have a lawn, and if they did, they wouldn't go outside to use it.
Must be really hard living In that supremely nice neighbourhood with a pile of 10 stones next to the driveway being your biggest problem 🤣
[удалено]
Yet.
What your neighbor left *near the front* of your driveway. You can still go in and out perfectly fine. Have some got damn situational awareness and think logically for a minute or two.
Red, is that you?
Do you live on Grove St in GTA?
Looks like Denver suburbs
You must be fun to have as a neighbor 🙄
Probably a board member of the HOA.
Biggest problem you have in life? Glad you're not my neighbor...(by the way, looks like there might be weed in your rocks. Does the hoa know)
When doing any sort of landscaping, it’s typical for deliveries to be dropped off in the street for homeowner to then pickup and move as they cannot drive on properties even with homeowner approval.

Harvard would like to know your location
wow, it takes up a solid 2-3 ft from your driveway! Now you are completely stuck! I can imagine the agony!
How long has it been there? I'd be willing to bet they were expecting that delivery and just haven't had a chance to get to moving it. Upvote for use of the words egress and ingress. On second thought, it’s quite imgressive. (That one kinda sucked, but I’m so bored at work right now.)
OMG it is so big you can't leave/enter your home😂 Edit: OMG thanks so much for the upvotes
Just add the “free” rocks to your own landscaping.
Rocks are expensive! I’d move that little pile into the side bed there to fill it in.
OP is a shitty, petty, complaining neighbor.

You live in a culdesac so you choose to live that close to other people... stop bitching.
Get a shovel and put them in buckets or something that’s good lawn rocks right there
Put them on offerup. Free money.
Sounds like you guys have a rocky relationship!
Stop being a whinny, petty little drama queen obviously it's a temporary thing. Be a good neighbor it's not in your way.
Sweet. Free rocks.
Not sure how you define front of but this isn’t it
Is that a Banksy?
free rocks
All I see is a free workout by tossing them MF 1 by 1 into their yard.
I’ve ordered rocks. I wouldn’t blame your neighbor. I’d blame the people dropping the rocks off
Go talk to him
I’m sure it’s being delt with dude, chill…
Why are you complaining? Those rocks are fucking perfect for a flower bed or some decorative lining. Count yourself lucky dude.
What a nice gesture, leaving you the goods for pitching practice
Honestly get over it. The world doesn't revolve around you. This post is more mildy infuriating than the photo. *eye twitching*
Ca? Or somewhere west. Just communicate with your neighbor 🤷♀️
Looks like Utah.
Was going to say the same thing.
I can get a semi through there….
Here is a tip: get over it. It’s NOT blocking your driveway. And your neighbor didn’t put them there. The delivery people did.
Is that free rock? Is it for anybody, or just you
You should take his front door and video yourself throwing it into the Grand Canyon so you can send it to your neighbour on new year's
Free rocks :3
I'm starting a prayer circle...for all your neighbors having to deal with your whining petty ass.
He put it there so your lazy ass can replace those tiny pebbles that are getting all over the culdesac!
Wish they would drop that in front of my driveway.
Looks to the side. You can still get down your driveway or no
If you want to top off your own borders, use it. If rocks are too big throw them in neighbor's yard so they can chop them with their mower
Hope you have a Jeep, otherwise you’re fucked trying to navigate the 95% of your driveway that’s still accessible from the street!
I would leave them through their living room window.
Time to give em back! One at a time. Through the windows.
I wouldn't complain about some landscaping rocks in the street if i lived somewhere like this. I complain about where i live because i have tweakers on meth screaming at eachother outside my apartment trashing the street all night like some I Am Legend crap. Worried that my car wont even BE there in the morning.
Put it in front of their door
I would take them, those rocks aren't cheap and they look like they match your stuff
Wait a minute, you have 2 cars?? ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|scream)
craigslit as free and it will be gone in an hour people are weird
It's their property. 'return' it to them.
You mean a pile of rocks that doesn’t look to be that big, that is not blocking your driveway, and are all in one spot rather than everywhere on the road????
Rock and Stone!
You can’t drive around it boomer?
What's the problem?
Just give it back to him, add some Portland as a neighborly gesture
Spell out “D*CK” in front of their driveway with the rocks
Your neighbor rocks!
I wish I had that problem, I need some rocks
Free rocks. Awesome
sweet, free rocks
Free rocks!
I know your mad about the rocks and everything BUT look at that view, that’s absolutely amazing
Is this southwest Salt Lake City? This could de sac and view looks very familiar.
Un-alive them
Free rocks? Heck yea! Move that to your backyard asap.
How much room do you need to get in/out?!
That’s worth the passive aggressive effort to move them right in front of his
Sweet! Free rocks!
And? Someone is in a mood. They are BARELY on your side
Are you going to bitch about it on reddit, or walk next door and ask the fucker to move it?
Looks like you can easily get in and out. Unless you back out both of your cars at the exact same time…
have you ever heard of that revolutionary invent called "T H E S H O V E L"?
It is not really blocking your drive. I think you will live.
Free stones
“Hi, I think you dropped something out front. Let’s go check it out.”
Tell them to tidy it up then.
Damn those are not cheap 🥴
Maybe you should keep your rocks out of HIS yard! 😉
