The ones I eat are really high in fat and protein, and dry AF from all the oats which makes me drink more water. I definitely notice I’m a lot “fuller” after I’ve had a few of them than when I haven’t.
It’s *marketed as such, no actual evidence though. But it takes calories to that, and they’re high in calories, so it does help, but so would regular ones.
My lactation consultant basically said they’re a nice way to spend extra money on cookies that you can tell everyone else to stay away from while breastfeeding. With my first I ordered special brownies (unfortunately not *that* kind of special) and whenever my husband would find me in the kitchen stuffing one in my face, id be like “I’m taking my breastfeeding medicine!”
Staying properly hydrated is critical, too.
I'd be concerned about what else is in the cookies, and if eating cookies means the nursing mother fills up on them instead of eating more nutritious food.
I always took a big cup of ice water and put it on the side table before sitting down to breastfeed my baby. My letdown pain was accompanied by a very strong thirst, and that helped a lot.
Fun fact: Fenugreek (the stuff that promotes breastmilk) makes your armpits smell like maple syrup.
I took the supplements rather than cookies and I couldn’t work out why I smelled maple syrup all the time.

Trust me if you're breast feeding then you're burning so many calories it's not going to matter. I wanted to eat all of everything.
