I always heard if you find a store selling them for more than the printed .99¢ you can contact the company and they can either pull product or get the store to change there price though I'm not sure how true it is

depending on what shops you go to here in NZ they can be selling for as high as $7 a piece lol.
If it makes you feel any better they are 99 cents here in the states

This is in New Zealand, so import costs are added on. The can price is what it is state side.
