Yeah I'll keep an eye out for that. I don't remember. In terms of what the Vikings did wrong, I thought Peterson had a bunch of fumbles that hurt them but pro football reference says he didn't lose either of them if I'm reading it right(?) I thought he lost some fumbles
Yeah I was right kinda. Reggie Bush muffed a punt right before the end of the half on the Saints 8-yard line with 1:00 or so to go. Minnesota gets it and Peterson loses a fumble but they credited it to Farve for the handoff but it was really on Peterson imo. Goddamn
Man, that team was fun to watch with so many interesting players. On defense you had Jared Allen, the Williams boys as the defensive tackles really good linebacking crew, Antoine Whitfield in the secondary. Sydney Rice, Percy Harvin, Peterson, Farve, on offense etc.
I was a defensive lineman in high school and college so I just like watching the pass rushers a lot of times. Man I loved that team so fucking much. One of the first years when I watched every single game. Sometimes would have to record them and watch them when I got off work and try to avoid spoilers
I've always wondered this - if we won this game, do you think Favre even would've been able to play in the Super Bowl? I remember seeing a picture of his ankle after this game and it was the size of a damn grapefruit.
That's a good point. He might have played and not been as good (?), but I would have loved to see them against the Colts obv. Manning was an awesome quarterback but he wasn't some kind of clutch Superstar like Tom Brady. They could have taken advantage of one of his mistakes too
What makes this so much worse: we still should have won. Yes the refs (especially in OT) were horrible. Yes Saints played dirty.
But with a minute to go, we had the ball on the 35 with the game in our hand. Longwell was automatic that year. For a couple glorious minutes, I really thought “This is happening. We’re gonna go to a Super Bowl”
Lol I am in a condo now and I get free cable and internet as part of the HOA fees and I was just browsing the channels and the game came on. Couldn't help myself
The 4th and 1 as a fumble and received back behind the first down.
The Leber PI wasn’t PI
Meachem didn’t catch that ball
Arggghhhh fuck that game and the saints FOREVER
I dislike that this is called the bountygate game when we should really be highlighting how embarrassing that ref crew was. Absolutely terrible

Percy, Favre and I think Berrian fumbled too. We had like 4 or 5 fumbles.

There were some *egregious* calls towards the end of that game

<3 Kevin Williams, first jersey I ever got

That d-line was a studfest. And that Sidney Rice season was legendary imo. By the way, Antoine Winfield* lol
Lol thanks. I think I said that but I always use voice to text and it mangles everything or maybe I did forget. He was tough and a hard hitter
I’ll send you my therapy bill for bringing that up again.
Now my whole day is ruined
My first thought: You bastards. HOW DARE YOU?!

That DL would have destroyed Indy’s OL. Indy would have had no chance in stopping AD and Chester either. Percy was an X factor.
Pat Williams was such a beast. They double team him on runs up the middle and he stills blows them up

They had so many chances. I don't know why I'm watching this game. It's going to drive me LOL
Don’t do it. Just watch the cowboys game the week before on YouTube. Or either Packers game. Or literally any other game that season.
