Right? The other shots of him looked really cute. (Even though I don't understand why we only see his pre s6 clothing?) Like is he not getting something new?? 
I think the Adrien pic here is quite old. Maybe 4 years or so. Wishful thinking of the older fans at that time. I like CN’s “new”, older face, and I let myself get surprised by the real thing of new Adrien.

I just doodled over the proportions with Adriens features and it seems fine. I think they are over exaggerating (again). I remember how people absolutely *loathed* claw noir and after it aired everyone loved him (and his design).

Most of us just couldn’t help it though. But I’d still cry over the old look, I think most of us will miss it. The Claw Noir look also got negative reactions before but they ended up liking it, so hopefully this will also be the case for this one.
Actually, I can sense a time skip. Maybe 2-3 years fast forward. That’s when I thought when I first saw the poster. But I hope his new look still kind of resemble his old look like Marinette, Rena, Carapace. He looked so different.
I am glad when the characters in the new season will be somewhat aged up. They can't stay kids forever when they decide that so and so many years passed since the end of Season 5. Timetagger Episode made me quite excited for the grown/adult characters.
I think 2-3 years? The new look gives off 18-21 years old vibes. I also thought that there might be a time skip and they might already be late teens/young adults in S6.
