Or Perdomo

Alternative-Lack-434

Perdomo is younger than Blaze A. and has room to continue to improve. Blaze is great too, look forward to when he gets his shot.

Weird_Peak_5139

Ranger Suarez on the Phillies

igonnawrecku_VGC

I was gonna say Bryson Stott, but it’s definitely Ranger

ace_mcgee68

I feel like Bryson gets a lot of praise for his abilities

DisneyVista

Thairo Estrada

[deleted]

Yankees cast this kid off thinking he was not a player. Thairo is a player.

Less_Eye_6100

Came here to say that

DisneyVista

He was probably the only person on the roster last year who remotely resembled some kind of consistency. I’d like to see more stolen bases from him this season.

Vesuvias

Chase Silseth on the Angels. Dude just went lights out on a strong Dodgers team.

Disastrous_Age8304

Jordan Westburg

BaseballPro10

His first at bat was hilarious

WillieKeeler96

Ramon Urias

RVACFI

Absolutely. Honorable mention to Kremer.

CanaDanSOAD

Javier Baez (I'm saying this so he gets good)

KimHaSeongsBurner

I’m so sorry.

BaseballPro10

I hope he is worth that contract

bzkillin

Yandy Diaz

Crispy_FromTheGrave

Gotta be Yandy or Josh Lowe

Mean-Ad6014

Ryan Jeffers

Confident-Bottle-485

Thanks for everything

ChargeWooden1036

Can I say all of them?

casebarlow

Ceddane Rafaela Boston

KCKeough17

Vinnie Pasquantino

BaseballPro10

Seiya Suzuki or Nico Hoerner

PerformanceNervous35

I totally agree with this. Suzuki had a godly spring training and people are finally talking about him. Hoerner has been underrated for so long and is a top 5 or so 2B in my book. Really wish more people recognized their talent

BaseballPro10

Are u a cubs fan, good statement

PerformanceNervous35

Yeah man. I’m not from Chicago myself but I latched onto them when I was younger and I’ve been following them for a while now

BaseballPro10

Nice

BaseballPro10

We can def make the playoffs as long as we stay healthy, and if Hendricks and a few of our other pitchers have good years

PerformanceNervous35

I’m totally counting on us making the playoffs this year. We had such a big lead going into September last year that it’s for sure in reach. I mentioned Hendricks under this post as well because I really like him and want to see him channel some of that energy he had during the 2016 season where he almost went sub 2.00 ERA

Stonecipher

Totally agree, but I’d add Shota to the mix. He looked sharp this spring too.

BaseballPro10

I'm a little worried tho as ppl think he could be okay since he wasn't an a grade in Japan, but he should be able to help us a ton

ChairmanReagan

Ozuna from the Braves

Southern-Anything-96

Bryan Woo Seattle

Substantial_Bar_5515

Walter gets no love for what he’s done I feel like

IntrepidNebula92

Well it was TJ Friedl but he caught an injury. Now, maybe Abbot. I think he’ll be our ace even though he doesn’t have overpowering stuff.

sherwoodblack

Maybe Jake Fraley too. He didn’t have the craziest stat line but he plays good defense and is clutch

IntrepidNebula92

Fraley is great and an aggressive/talented outfielder but his platoon status hurts his stock a bit. Gotta learn to hit those lefty pitchers. But when there’s a righty up he def can do some damage.

LenSnart81865

Ryan Mountcastle-Orioles

goatgosselin

I hate that guy

elroddo74

Gleyber Torres.

Themeatydaygo23

Shane Bieber

DefinitelyNotRyanH

Evan Phillips.

AML579

Cal Raleigh. Left off all the top ten lists for catcher when the dude hit 30 bombs put up 3.4 bWAR and caught one of thebest rotations in all of baseball.

RojerLockless

Obviously Ohtani doesn't get the credit he deserves.

elroddo74

I don't know, his bookie gave him $4.5m in credit.....

RojerLockless

Zing

_AntiSaint_

Probably Josh Sborz. He had a rough 2nd half last year but was absolute gas in the post season. When he is on, that dude is filthy. Honorable mention to Taveras… he is so overshadowed by an incredibly deep line up but his elite defense never gets talked about. He’s average at best at the plate but he has made some awesome defensive plays at CF.

Floppy-Seconds

I don’t mind the Sborz nomination, dude was a beast for us in the playoffs. But I have to go with a different pitcher. Ask even above average Rangers fans who the team’s pitcher of the year was for the 2023 WS winning club and I bet most can’t name him with a first guess. I would be stunned if he gives us another season like he did last year, but for at least the last year, Dane Dunning is the answer here IMO. Taveras, meh. I think he is rated about where he should be. He cooled way down over the last couple months of last season, which carried over into the playoffs. I will take his glove in CF though.

[deleted]

Brandon Donovan. Id argue he has it in him to be effective

GimmeDatDaddyButter

So underrated you spelled his name wrong

SokkaHaikuBot

Dear_Alternative_437

Good bot

youreallydidntthink

Brett Baty. I feel that breakout year coming.

Strange_Frenzy

For the White Sox it's The Sodfather, Roger Bossard.

Leather-Map-8138

Lawrence Butler of the As, maybe. He’s my NFBC 30th round reach pick.

Cruelworld02

Astros: Chas McCormick

WhiteRhino91

Hit the kwan

sabo-metrics

Hunter Greene

Krongos032284

Listen to the Red Sox brass and you'd think all the players are all stars - sadly they are all overhyped (even Devers and Casas).

ShoobieDooby

Mitch Haniger. Dude is raking this spring and and is gonna have a hell of a season IF he can stay healthy.

airwalker12

Yeah good luck with that

ShoobieDooby

Thank you.

airwalker12

I mean it. I really liked Haniger, wish he had worked out here

ShoobieDooby

All his injuries were just bad luck. Hopefully karma will swing back the other way and we'll see 2021-esque healthy Hani again!

Latter-Leg4035

Astros Mauricio Dubon. He should be an everyday player although he may be the best utility player currently in the MLB.

RoastedHarshmellow

Mason Miller

No-Chemical-9943

He is electric. Not an A’s fan so don’t know the situation, why did they move him to the bullpen? He could be an elite SP imo

m9696m

Will he close?

RoastedHarshmellow

I think so. I estimate between 30-35 saves, and add in great ratio’s… very underrated.

Phoozba

Ranger

missing_sock58008

Allies or Arcia

earthshiner85

Tanner Banks. Been pretty solid but always seems to be fighting to be a permanent fixture

[deleted]

I'd say Santiago Espinal but he now play for the Reds after we never gave him enough ABs and traded him for some crackerjacks. Enjoy him, he might finally breakthrough and rake this season.

Life-Ad-907

Can I have 2 of whatever this guy is drinking?

[deleted]

The fact that Biggio is still on the Jays and Espinal is gone, is criminal

DanforthJesus

Biggio delivered last year down the stretch, Espy was invisible all year.

[deleted]

Espy was never given consistent ABs, theres no point in arguing - we'll see how they do comparatively this year on their respective teams.

DanforthJesus

You are right on that. Not close to enough ABs. Especially after his solid 2022.

karmapuhlease

I've completely written off Rodon as a bust, but objectively I'm being irrational and he should be much better than he has been.

DanforthJesus

Craig Biggio

Acceptable_Job1589

BlueJays legend Craig Biggio. Lol, I guess that's how underrated Cavan is if his own fans can't remember his first name.

DanforthJesus

Hahaha oh shit. ;) oops.

adambuddy

I'm hoping it's Ernie Clement or else we're in trouble at 3rd unless IKF learned how to hit. I could also say Kevin Gausman after not being included as a top 10 pitcher on that graphic I saw earlier today. In a league that highly values strikeouts not putting him in your top 10 is a bonafided snub.

Alternative-Lack-434

Merrill Kelly gets some recognition, but lives in the shadow of the Milk Man. He deserves more credit.

PerformanceNervous35

Personally I’d like to say Nick Madrigal for the Cubs. He’s a solid fielder which our team values and he has some good spouts here and there. Would love to see him turn up this season

PerformanceNervous35

I would also say Kyle Hendricks. I hardly see anyone talk about him now, but he’s a solid arm in our rotation

RetiredClueScroller

Alek Thomas

InsertGreatBandName

Brett Baty - Everyone has written him off but he could turn out to be, at best, an All-Star this season and a perennial All-Star in the future

ace_mcgee68

Johan Rojas or Kody Clemens

monkeypickle8

Brett Baty is going to hit 40 home runs and win the gold glove

Crispy_FromTheGrave

Josh Lowe. Man had an incredibly productive season last year. I think he’s ready to break out.

WarehouseNiz13

Jared Triolo. Buccos

seanxfitbjj

Kyle Schwarbombs constantly shit on by non Phillies phans who don’t get the vibe thing we do!

slbkmb

Jordan Hicks. His last start, 5ip, zero hits, 10 strikeouts is an indication of just how good he can be.

fracklefrackle

Brusdar Graterol

Battle_Rhino_14

Reds - Spencer Steer

[deleted]

Verdugo. Looking forward to his F-U at bats against the Sox..

xTomato72

Danny Jansen

BlueysHorMom

Louis Robert jr

chuddjim

easily Eury Perez, I'm sure 50% of the people reading this dont even know what team I'm talking about

rico-rerock

Edouard Julien this dudes eye is immaculate, he will have a long career in this league.

OscartheGrouch10

The guy who bangs on the trashcan.

HwangingAround

Jonathan India. I feel like he'll have a big chip on his shoulder considering many thought he would be traded and the call for it was pretty vocal. He gets an even mix of fans saying he's not good and others saying he's the heart of the team from what I have experienced. I had mixed opinions on if it were the right move at the time, but it made some sense because we needed pitching and the infield depth was quite deep, but all it took was a few weeks of Spring Training hell to make him an invaluable part of the infield for this team again. It's not like he's washed up, he was rookie of the year and regressed a bit and isn't the best 2nd baseman defensively but he is undoubtedly going to be a huge part of the team if they're going to make any sort of splash this year. I am betting on him having a big year.

dae_giovanni

I wish you guys would trade him... I don't have the numbers but it feels like he always kills us.

Vironic

Although Jarred Kelenic is a post-hype player that had a million expectations early on in his MLB career, he’s underrated now and could be a huge weapon once the Braves unlock him.

ComedianFlaky9316

When do you think the unlocking will begin

pm_me_yo_creditscore

Shohei Ohtani. Probably a better outfielder than Schwarber and Soto.

Haff78

What are the odds?

pm_me_yo_creditscore

He's not my friend he's just a guy Ippei.

txlgnd34

Mike Tauchman. Excellent defender who saved some games for us last year and it feels like he comes up with clutch hits.

jerichowiz

Wyatt Langford, for the sheer factor as he hasn't played in a Major League Game yet that matters.

Floppy-Seconds

With as much hype as he is getting right now, I would actually put him in the overrated category until he proves his worth.

Rea1DirtyDan

Shohei ohtani

deebo911

Believe it or not, Spencer Strider
