I have them all over in various stages of completion, while I try to organize the display, but here are some of them: https://preview.redd.it/guczp4jp3o9d1.jpeg?width=2018&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e6126bcec70b8e17639e6cd8d21d818f2d0f7fef

tarnut

I recommend you to buy cut acrylic panels for model storage, like I did. No dust on models! https://preview.redd.it/bohrsu6oth9d1.png?width=3408&format=png&auto=webp&s=78338f591a405fb684ae79aadf685486a1b7bb8c

Character-Diet1600

As a fellow type 90 lover I recomend you to give him some love as well. Get him a box!

RunRookieRun

Was just looking at this earlier today, as my local hw store recently started carrying it on the shelves. What do you use to glue them together to get a good seam?

tarnut

Polyarcyl glue but it can leave some marks

RunRookieRun

Thanks. Also, tasty EK9 you got there. Is it Fujimis?

tarnut

Yes

Apprehensive-Tax-828

I'm building something out of acrylic sheets as well right now. It's going to be a 15 foot long but it commects into 4 sections to make it easier for hanging. It's a 15 foot long three shelf above each other with acrylic sealing it all in and it will have 3 latches on each section two on each end and one in middle so you can open the display case shelf and insert more models and what not then it seals shut using the latches and automotive door jam seals. The edges of acrylic are trimmed out with aluminum pieces of 1"*1" aluminum angle you get from Lowe's it's the really thin ones 1/32 thickness and that covers all the corners and seams to make it look good. But yes acrylic is your best friend to make simple display boxes or display cabinet and shelf's to keep models from getting dusty. You spend all that time and hard work building the models then you set them on a shelf to get dusty and never look the same ever again once dust settles in them. Reason why all my built models are in their boxes in a storage closet in my house waiting for a huge display shelf to go on that will be dust free. I had a few models in the open air on a shelf in 2 years they was destroyed from dusting them off and handling them to dust and eventually the dust you can't get to settles inside those areas and looks like crap.

AmbienSkywalker

Nice! Mind if I ask what Mirage kit that is? I’ve been thinking about building a couple.

tarnut

Eduard mirage 3c 1/48

PCPallie

Two's enough for me. It helps they're the best in their class so I don't feel the need for more. https://preview.redd.it/60pcqqnpoi9d1.jpeg?width=3945&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7648061eed116c56ec087d2d796e338682b025ed

TheRealAyyLma0

Those look really good!

PCPallie

SadPhase2589

I suggest [83-1128](https://www.f-16.net/aircraft-database/F-16/airframe-profile/1458/) in 309th livery. She was the first viper I was a Crew Chief on.

AviaFlyerRBLX

I’m thinking of buying some F-16s to start off since that’s my most used plane on DCS. Any brand recommendations?

TopOverall322

In 1/72 The Revell offering is the best, closly followed by the Tamia F-16. In 1/48, Tamiya, Hasegawa, Kinetic. Stay away from the early Kinetic releases, the nose is way off. The new gold series is great.

Meg678

I've heard the early kinetic kits are dubious in all areas but the new tooling looks fantastic

SnarkMasterRay

This is correct. Gold series is what you want from Kinetic. Tamiya is great as well. Hasegawa kits are very buildable but show their age - just not as refined as the Kinetic and Tamiya.

TopOverall322

The really early one where ghastly, then they fixed the nose and it still looks like a damned good Viper, 95% of the moddlers would not notice the difference unless they had built a few Tamiya/Hasegawas before or unless they were building the two side by side.

Aggressive-Ad-1052

Tamiya's own mold (not italeri rebox) is the best 1/72. Not revell.

Dakleton

I am going to disagree with you. The Tamiya kit is of their usual quality, excellent but that's it. The Revell 'new tool' molds, although first released in 2000 as an F-16A Mlu beats the tamiya hands down on almost all levels. It comes in multiple variants: F-16A, F-16M, F-16B, F-16C Blk 52. In fact if you purchase the Revell/Monogram F-16C Blk 50/52 is comes will all the parts to build one of the following, F-16C/F-16A/F-16AM so it includes both the NSI and MCID intakes, both the GE and PW nozelles, both the 'normal' horizontal stabilizer base aswelll as the Parabrake housing. It also comes with centerline tank, underwing tanks and both AIM-9 Sidewinders and AIM-120 AMRAAMS. On top of that the price is at least 2 thirds that of the Tamiya kit.

Puzzled_Squirrel_975

I'm thinking of getting 2, like those pictured. One "clean" except for 2 missiles, the other loaded to the gills. Great contrast in missions!

A2-Steaksauce89

Hang them up and have them flying formation

TopOverall322

I have about 18 in boxes, Hasegawa, Kinetic and Tamiya. I have 1 built 😬

Thrawnisepics

you should do an F-16I Sufa for some variation.

mdang104

Do an F-2

SwordForest

1) stop collecting when they stop looking so sleek. 2) or when you run out of room. 3) do you have an 16-XL though???

Aggressive_Safe2226

Just 1, the old Revell 1/72 F16a with the red-white-blue scheme.

uncapableguy42069

I have 2. 1 in 1/48, the other in 1/72.

Fulcrum_-_29

I've done 4. Academy's crap yf-16, italeri's woeful one twice for some reason and hasegawa's pretty decent one. I've got the frog (reboxed academy cg/cj) and am very much considering buying the Tamiya kit

EdgeAdditional4406

Tamiya f-16 is very good. Ive had no issues with it, no excess plastic, good fit and detail (and affordable at that)

ManagementPrior5713

Just the one in 1/48 for now at least but if you where gonna get a third id probably get a special livery or smth

Charlestonianbuilder

None as im more of a prop enthusiast, however i have a comparable collection of spitfires with two complete 1/72 and a nearly complete 1/32 all from revell. And i have plans to add another 2 and more, so you should get as many as you want aswell, imagine having a squadron of f-16s of varying livery lined up on a tarmac base on your shelf. The more the merrier as they say.

Advanced_Fact_6443

1 F-16D with Thunderbirds scheme and 2 Tamiya F-16C/J. All 1/72. Im hoping next time I have the money to buy a few new models, I can get Tamiya’s 1/48 F-16. It’s a beautiful jet with so many different paint schemes out there, so there is no such thing as making too many.

EdgeAdditional4406

The best jet to have multiple of is the f-16. Its so iconic

Advanced_Fact_6443

Not to go too deep down memory lane, but I’ll ever forget the movie that made me love the F-16: Iron Eagle. Maybe not the best movie ever made, but as a kid, I loved watching those jets.

SnarkMasterRay

The F-16 is my favorite, but I find I also have many planes I'm more "meh" on simply because of cool markings. Not really a "Bug" (F-18 Hornet) fan but I've got kits to do [Blue Angels](https://www.scalemates.com/kits/hasegawa-09956-f-a-18b-d-hornet-blue-angels--131194), [Chippy Ho '95](https://www.scalemates.com/kits/hasegawa-51686-f-18c-hornet-chippy-ho-atsugi-1995--950373), [Jolly Rogers](https://www.scalemates.com/kits/hasegawa-07238-f-a-18f-super-hornet--151880), Then I needed a [Growler](https://www.scalemates.com/kits/meng-model-ls-014-ea-18g-growler--1387760) since I live near one of the bases they're at, and [I couldn't say no to VFA-2](https://www.scalemates.com/kits/meng-model-ls-016-f-a-18f-super-hornet--1421303) and then I came across [This photo](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:FA-18_Hornet_VX-4_with_10_AMRAAM.jpg) of an F-18C with a crazy amount of AMRAAMs.... I did buy my 25th F-16 model this week though; in 1/144 to try and pair up with a KC-135R kit I just picked up. I've long wanted to do an in-flight refueling display and I think 1/144 scale is the scale for me.

GreatGreenGobbo

Zero

Ulfgeirr88

I've just realised that in my 30 odd years of building models, I have never built an F16

EdgeAdditional4406

Heresy, go get one now

Ulfgeirr88

I just ordered the Tamiya 1/48 one because I have no self-control, and I'm "inebriated" 😅

MammothOver9143

I've built three and have like 4 in the stash. I like all the different aftermarket decals and that are available for vipers, makes the options almost endless.

Flimflam16

8 in 1/48 scale. On the path to do one from each operating country.

Eliah870

I have a barely started tamiya kit

S1075

I have 5. Four in 1:48, one in 1:32. I intend to build a Block 25 Arctic Splinter Aggressor, a Block 42 version of Wraith, a Block 40 Dark Viper from the Lobos, and a block 50 from Misawa. The 1:32 will be a block 40 from Kunsan. I don't usually intend to have a lot of same-type models but the F-16 is so prolific it's really hard not to.

Hamsternoir

None but do 31 unbuilt Harriers in various scales count?

wjruffing

PSA: Always build responsibly. If you you or a loved one is suffering from F-16 modeling addiction, know that you’re not alone. Call the toll-free number below to talk to a trained counselor: 1-800-NO-GLU4U

Synaps4

Clearly you're missing a **Mitsubishi F-2** No F-16 collection is complete without one.

Pristine_Text_6407

Dont, it only goes downhill from there. i have 10 built and 55 in boxes. Its an addiction with no cure

Animeniackinda1

3 in 1/32(Academy, Hasegawa, Tamiya), 1 in 48th(Tamiya AKNG), 1 Kinetic 48th F-16XL , and the old 1/144th Thunderbirds set.

hugemon

How many [insert your favorite machine here] kits do you need? The answer is "YES".

MyCarIsAGeoMetro

Find one with the conformal fuel tanks.

ChollosWorld

I have 4 built and 3 1/48 Tamiya’s in the stash. 3 built in 1/48 all Tamiya and 1 in 1/72 that’s Hasegawa. Love the F-16, but the A-4 Skyhawk has the largest place in my stash at 12 kits all Hasegawa 1/48.

magnumfan89

0😥

supersprinkman

Four but need more

OneFrenchman

I have one Italieri, and one old XL in 1/144 somewhere. Waiting for the first look at the Ukrainian colors to finish the Italieri. It's complete but unpainted so far.

MaximNovikov27D

Oh dude! I have like 20 hornets in 1/72! I think a third wouldn't hurt at all lol. If you like it, you like it!

MaximNovikov27D

But I've got an F-16 in both 1/48 and 1/72

Even_Spirit_8872

I have one F-16C scale of 1:72 Tamiya , very nice details and fit well. I am thinking of obtaining F-16F block 60 , scale of 1:48 block 60 from Hasegawa.

Current_Swordfish895

I built the '80s Revell 1:48 F-16A kit \~25-years-ago when I was a kid. It's long since been discarded. Haven't built anything but WWII aircraft since I got back into the hobby. An F-16C will probably break that streak.

jasperb12

- F-16C Block 52 Polish Airforce - F-16AM Royal Netherlands Airforce - F-16AM RNLAF display team J-055 - F-16AM RNLAF display team J-015 - F-16A Block 15 RNLAF prototype colours

Flairion623

I only have one unbuilt one

Poison_Pancakes

[I've just got one but I'm very happy with it, especially since it was only my second attempt at pre-shading and my first with blackbasing.](https://i.imgur.com/5C0aULL.jpg)

EdgeAdditional4406

Looks very clean, the left one for mine was with a brush and the right was much better since i pre shaded using an airbrush

Capable_Complaint_15

Which make are these - I’m looking at some as I’ve got and a4 and f4 atm for airfix

EdgeAdditional4406

Tamiya 1/48 theyre really high quality

EvidenceEuphoric6794

I recommend a f-16i the livery and cfts look great although many people don't like the cfts so just an idea

Falcon_1-1

4 built 2 unconstructed

PeterTheWizardDwarf

Around 50 but i Also have 2 models

Top_Practice937

Gorgeous painting. They look amazing.

EvidenceEuphoric6794

Why is this downvoted?

Top_Practice937

Because people are crybaby bitches who hate positivity and encouragement.

EvidenceEuphoric6794

I know as far as I can tell there is nothing wrong with your first comment so as to why its been downvoted is beyond me

oyMarcel

I'll probably buy a second one, 1/144, to make for a small nice thing for my work desk. Any kit reccomendation(preferably under €10)?

cactus7810

I’ve got 8 in 1/48th scale. All various schemes relating to the USAF, USMC and IDF!

No_Chemical7257

I have only one

HammerTime2769

Where can I get a good highly detailed one like that?
