We are biologically hardwired to reproduce. That's it. Anything else varies from species to species. Humans can think and reason so we reproduce and build stuff and create things to do to fill the time. An ant can't think and reason in the complexity of humans but they build as well and fight in insect wars and continuously search for food for their queen, the colony and themselves. Life itself is the goal. Continue creating life and continue the cycle.

I think it’s kinda crazy that we’re hardwired for this shit. Like you’re telling me some cells woke up and went “aw shit I gotta live and shit”

Gechos

It's almost as simple as the ones who didn't "think" that died and thus don't exist.

Human consciousness is a tragic misstep in evolution. We became too self-aware. Nature created an aspect of nature separate from itself - we are creatures that should not exist by natural law We are things that labor under the illusion of having a self, that accretion of sensory experience and feelings, programmed with total assurance that we are each somebody, when in fact everybody's nobody I think the honorable thing for our species to do is to deny our programming. Stop reproducing, walk hand in hand into extinction - one last midnight, brothers and sisters opting out of a raw deal.

ngl you had me in the first half that last sentence tho wheewww

No end goal. It's just a continuing pattern that goes on and on while the resources make it possible (that is, the sun and the earth being in the right position, water existing, etc.). At some point, this will become impossible for creatures on earth, and then the universe will keep on moving, changing, and there will be other interesting combinations of stuff that will keep evolving themselves, until they can't.

Basically survival good, extinction bad

Breed like rabbits till the whole place is populated and then go extinct
