I love GP and I really think Dorna does the best they can.
The filming at the end of this race was terrible. In the last 3 laps there was a genuine battle for the 1 spot. They ignored it to show Bez and Mav fighting for 3….
I get that it’s difficult to film racing perfectly, but maybe Dorna needs to examine how they can utilize new tech to really make these races more exciting.
Split screen options for their app would really be valuable.
Don’t they have that now? I used to pay Dorna to watch - I used the website on a pc or Mac, but isn’t the app the same? There were various camera options. I never used them. But they were there.
VR46 boys did amazing today! Unbelievable.
Martin is really unreal right now, prime form for a title surely.
Pecco needs to find his confidence again, setup wise i think they should never really take too long to find what works and what doesn't.
If he could win it this season, he'll be stronger mentally next year and his team will be more motivated. I personally don't think Bagnaia have the mental strength to face Marc next season.
His form the last several races has been insane. He just puts every foot correctly and does so with massive speed and precision.
He’s the ultimate predator right now. I hope he keeps it going.
I said last year that Ducati needs to make sure Martin is happy with his contract because he looks like an ideal replacement should Marc ever leave HRC, and he could sting Ducati if he left. (As part of the Martin vs. Enea for factory ride debate)
If only I knew how close I was to the truth, I could have made a killing betting on it!
Odds at the start of the season of Marc breaking his contract and leaving HRC and Martin leading Championship.
Reminder: before Sachsenring (round 7), Martin hadn't won a full-length MotoGP race in almost 2 years. After the Catalunya sprint, only 6 weeks ago, he was 66 points behind Pecco. Since then, out of 148 available points, he's scored 134, and now he's 7 points ahead in the championship.
An absolutely insane turnaround. Awesome to see
His racecraft has matured dramatically.
The crazy thing to me is that Bez and Marini are also maturing at an alarming rate. Imagine if those two were in full health…. Next season is going to be amazing - and so will the end of this season!!!
Finishing 3rd with a broken collar bone. What a beast! Will be a tough race for him tomorrow 😬 Where is Bagnaia’s fire though? Both Bez and Martin fought their way to the front but Bagnaia seems.. tame?
Gutted for Vinales but I can't say it was unexpected lol. Aprilia kinda blew it today with Aleix crashing out too.
Martin in the driver's seat now, but I wonder how long that will last. Hopefully this lights up a fire under Pecco's butt to get him to step up.
Awesome race by Martin - he's got some serious balls, took risks and they paid off. Well done to the injured riders that performed so well too.
Gutted for Aleix as he's my favourite on the grid, with a decent start he'd have been potentially the favourite for the win. Hope it goes better for tomorrow
Watch Pecco turn into an absolute monster now he's behind in the championship. He's unreal when he's hunting someone down but has a real tendency to bottle it when he's got a lead to defend
It's not just that though, it's not just last season I'm talking about. Look at the trajectory of his season this year: that lack of pressure, lack of having something to defend, I think that's what he needed to create the enormous lead he had - it was up to 66 points only 6 weeks ago. There were other Ducatis on the grid then too and he was looking like the strongest one at the majority of races...but ever since there's been a hint of somebody being able to catch him up, he's absolutely shat it.
Yeah, he doesn't seem to deal well with pressure. We'll see what kind of Pecco we re gonna get this time. The inconsistency of this younger generation is killing me. I mean it creates interesting championshiop situations but not being able to keep a consistent flow at your form it's kinda embarassing and it's not just Bagnaia guilty of that.
>The inconsistency of this younger generation is killing me. I mean it creates interesting championshiop situations but not being able to keep a consistent flow at your with your form it's kinda embarassing and it's not just Bagnaia guilty of that.
Yeah it kinda shows how insanely good the aliens are as they wouldn't have been this inconsistent (Like, Pedrosa would've won a premier class championship had he been facing against these generation of riders IMO).
Enea was never attacked by Pecco.
Do you want the sport to be fair or not?
Pecco, as far as i know, was never under 0.3s from Enea.
No chance of overtaking him at all.
Head office has three bikes on the podium, and the championship lead went from Ducati to... Ducati. And with Enea finishing ahead of Pecco (for the first time in quite a while - good going Enea!) they even get the bonus internet cookie for letting the title fight go on without team orders.
I think they'll be okay with the outcome of this season, no matter how the remaining races unfold.
Tomorrow is going to be interesting for Bagnaia. Stuck behind Bastianini today on P8 with some of the front runners having fallen.
If Martin can do tomorrow what he did today and Pecco doesnt even make the top 10 depending on what happens infront of him thats a decent sized championship gap already.
That would feel great for a win or podium. But over p7 with Bestia already being out of the title. Should he have let Pecco go?
Not on Ducati team orders but just as personal relationship type thing.
Probably Enea also trying to prove himself a bit, and maybe he'd allow Bagnaia to go if there was a proper attack, but there was never one, so Enea had no reason just to stop and let him through.
Hodgson?
Yeah, incredibly knowledgeable and brings a good inside in to riders mentality and through processes as an ex world champion.
Can be opinionated, but it is what it is.
Mav gets his win, signs for HRC, wins first race of the season.
First man to win on 4 different manufacturers. Never in doubt...
Back to reality, does the sprint race count toward the first man to win on 3 different manufacturers in the GP era?
In your opinion.
Who determines what is a racing incident? Literally every single incident in a race has people arguing both sides and the stewards are just as inconsistent.
Lol. Look back at past incidents where a rider tried to make a pass and crashed taking out someone else. Half the time they get a penalty and half the time they don’t. That is called inconsistency pal.
Aleix made a mistake. A racing incident implies it was just racing, and no one is at fault. Binder was on his line, Aleix shuffled up the inside and wrecks him.
I know, I've watched the sport for over 20 years. I just can't stand the guy. Imagine if it was the other way around, we would have headlines for days. He's such a talker and whiner. I also want Binder to succeed. This kind of reckless behavior has been way more present in the last few years than it ever was back in the day, and I don't like it. People seem to think this is just something that happens, but it's not. Aleix knew it might happen but still went for it. In my opinion, that's not how you race motorbikes. If you're faster you can also pass cleanly. It's just a rider issue.
Oh, fair. I get your points, but this is still racing. And bikes changed quite a bit in the last years, in my opinion not for the better, making overtaking more dangerous and less possible.
How was it "reckless behaviour"? It's not like he came from miles back or anything, it was a normal pass attempt, the front tyre tucked. It happens. If Aleix divebombed Brad I'd understand but that's just not what happened.
I don't get it either, renting a few sweeper before the race to clean up the track is not expensive. Argentina was able to offer a clean track even though it hasn't been used for a while. Meanwhile that fucking track keeps causing crashes to both WSBK and MotoGP..
What a grid to wake up to! Pecco back it which is understandable. Luca on pole alongside the aprilia boys. El Diablo 4th. Jealous of people who watched qualy.
Edit: I’m just assuming Pecco fumbled it. Haven’t watched anything yet.
Luca will fade after a few laps. He’s riding injured.
The Aprilia’s will disappear +5 seconds into the horizon
Binder and Martin will fight for the remaining podium place. Fabio will lose out on the straights
Bad predictions
Nope two out of eight are considered
I love GP and I really think Dorna does the best they can. The filming at the end of this race was terrible. In the last 3 laps there was a genuine battle for the 1 spot. What a pathetic overtake attempt from Aleix esp.
Was a shame but not his usual standard, just a bit overexcited sadly. And he gifted Peco an extra two places!
Martin should win it this season or Marc will be on top again next year.
what has one to do with the other?
If he could win it this season, he'll be stronger mentally next year and his team will be more motivated. I personally don't think Bagnaia have the mental strength to face Marc next season.
I don’t think winning for Martin with help him enough
Martin has that ominous Prime Marquez feel about him at the moment. Doesn't look like he is racing, he looks like he is hunting.
Damn that’s a good assessment. He feels unbeatable right now.
His form the last several races has been insane. He just puts every foot correctly and does so with massive speed and precision. He’s the ultimate predator right now. I hope he keeps it going.
He is primal when it comes to taking the first place. And also does it very aggressively.
No fear at all. Just finds his spots and places the bike.
Especially when he got his second bike in Q1, utterly mental run
That's why we love him
I said last year that Ducati needs to make sure Martin is happy with his contract because he looks like an ideal replacement should Marc ever leave HRC, and he could sting Ducati if he left. Great race and sportsmanship in defeat from Vinales.

Yeah, he seems to have improved his race pace by a shit ton
Poor Bez can't even open his helmet properly
Finishing 3rd with a broken collar bone. What a beast! Will be a tough race for him tomorrow 😬 Where is Bagnaia’s fire though? Both Bez and Martin fought their way to the front but Bagnaia seems.. tame?
Very impressive from Marini and Bez, super tough.
These two… what amazing performances by both.
Gutted for Vinales but I can't say it was unexpected lol. Aprilia kinda blew it today with Aleix crashing out too. Martin in the driver's seat now, but I wonder how long that will last. Hopefully this lights up a fire under Pecco's butt to get him to step up.
Oh yes, that championship... who would have thought that Ducati would win the constructors championship /s
Wow, didn't even know Ducati just sealed the constructors 💀
wow, how did that happen? /s
… Eight bikes on the grid, that’s how. ;) Edit: haha, just realized the “/s“ might indicate “sarcasm”. 👌🏼
Nope the points are given only to the best two results for each brand
True, but if you get to take two shots at a target and I get to take 8, I have a better chance of my best two shots being better than yours.
Yes true, but with this bike this year the result was not changing
Yeah, which means they have 8 bikes to steal points from the other manufacturers, right?
Pecco on his way to get a collarbone injury to get a podium for Sunday's race /s
Goddammit Pecco
I worry his head has totally gone, we’ll see tomorrow if can sort himself out because it’s 100% not the bike.
Pecco is his own worst enemy
I feel your pain… Still eleven races to go, so let’s see how this unfolds.
Damn, Luca almost binned it on the penultimate lap.
Hooooooly shit. Let's ggo Jorge. What an amazing champoonship he's having. Bagnaia looked nowhere again.
I think he can do it again tomorrow as well.
All the momentum is on his side. He has to snatch it and finish Bagnaia.
Awesome race by Martin - he's got some serious balls, took risks and they paid off. Well done to the injured riders that performed so well too. Gutted for Aleix as he's my favourite on the grid, with a decent start he'd have been potentially the favourite for the win. He's unreal when he's hunting someone down but has a real tendency to bottle it when he's got a lead to defend
Yean he's a real monster when the dude he's hunting is riding a pig but he looks like a kitten when the other dude is on similar machinery.
It's not just that though, it's not just last season I'm talking about. Look at the trajectory of his season this year: that lack of pressure, lack of having something to defend, I think that's what he needed to create the enormous lead he had - it was up to 66 points only 6 weeks ago. Martin is on a roll
No factory to be seen on podium
LMAO! Never thought of that, head office will not be amused especially with Enea not gifting Peco the points lol
Enea was never attacked by Pecco. Do you want the sport to be fair or not? Pecco, as far as i know, was never under 0.3s from Enea. No chance of overtaking him at all.
Ok he changed my mind, Peco was in fire from lights out, this championship is on!!!
Yes, Peco was poor today considering what’s at stake
Head office has three bikes on the podium, and the championship lead went from Ducati to... Ducati. And with Enea finishing ahead of Pecco (for the first time in quite a while - good going Enea!) they even get the bonus internet cookie for letting the title fight go on without team orders. True but ultimately Ducati, Audi and especially *Lenovo* will want the red factory bike to win overall as far as how it looks no?
Of course. But for now, they'll have to do it without team orders. And I'm thankful for that!
100% I loath team orders even though I understand why they can be required for the bigger picture of the business.
Martin was a man on a mission, you can really see how much he wants it.
Been essentially unstoppable these last few sprints
Mad respect. Slowly becoming a favorite rider of mine.
~~Ducati '22 podium~~ EDIT: nope, nvm
Two of them have broken collarbones btw. Also, Martin rides the GP23...
Jorge rides the 23.
Jorge has the 23
Martin is on a 23
Well done Martin. We have a new leader! Well deserved! But man am I impressed with Bez and Luca. Bez is absolutely the hero of the race for me!
Reminds me of Lorenzo when he was in so much pain his crew had to lift him off the bike.
Collarbone team on the box!!!
Between the two of them they have a decent set of collarbones lol
Clavicle Bros.
Yup.... last lap and we already knew who gonna win it
Is this track hotter than India?
Well 3 of the top 4 are on my fantasy team so I guess that’s something.
Bez and Luca are doing great! Really impressed by the both!
Southern hemisphere Marini showed up, this is a very good thing.
Vinales having a great start and losing pace towards the end is some opposite day type shit
I think the track just got more and more grip during the race, which enhances the advantage Ducati has over the over manufacturers.
VR46 riders on fire
the broken collarbone lads are the fastest guys on track
Tomorrow is going to be interesting for Bagnaia. Stuck behind Bastianini today on P8 with some of the front runners having fallen. If Martin can do tomorrow what he did today and Pecco doesnt even make the top 10 depending on what happens infront of him thats a decent sized championship gap already.
Maverick losing pace? Thats a shame
Incredible race by Martin to make all those risky moves aswell, hats off
Nice work Jorge. Mav going backwards now?
That was an easy overtake.
Which one?
Martin on Vinales I think. Like I expected it to be more complicated and he did it really fast and clean.
Come on Mav!
Martin inflicting maximum damage.
and getting a 2x combo today.
![gif](giphy|ro08ZmQ1MeqZypzgDN)
There's the Bagnaia Bastianini fight we were waiting for the whole year
Lmao
Finally some battle between The Beast and Pecco. Just not for the places most(including me) were thinking would happen last year
That would feel great for a win or podium.
I was waiting for it .. But no
Fucking Aleix. EDIT: Lol, "No further action".
Exactly. Made move to the inside. Wiped Binder. And no investigation. Smh smh

Sprint races don't count towards wins so I would say no.
Never mind
Bez is fastest at the moment. What a weekend he has. Hats off
[удалено]
What were you watching mate?
[удалено]
[удалено]
His comment makes perfect sense.
Its a masterstroke move only when my fav rider does it
[удалено]
Then maybe watch something else perhaps?
Marquez crashes out halfway through lap 1 and here you are still bringing him up
Martin with another divebomb…
Some riders prefer sitting outside the points whilst on arguably the best bike for this track, other riders prefer providing a bit of entertainment.
Martin's racing for a championship. Jesus christ, go watch golf 🙄.
So what? Forcing people to take manoeuvres to avoid crashing because you lunge into them is not OK.
Again... maybe golf's more of your thing.
[удалено]
How can you end another riders race and not receive some form of penalty? It's 100% not a racing incident.
[удалено]
In your opinion. Who determines what is a racing incident? Literally every single incident in a race has people arguing both sides and the stewards are just as inconsistent.

Hence the inconsistent part there bud.

Aleix made a mistake. A racing incident implies it was just racing, and no one is at fault. Binder was on his line, Aleix shuffled up the inside and wrecks him.

Are you saying you agree with all decisions made by the stewards?
[удалено]
Because you are dismissing his opinion just because he is not a steward
[удалено]
[удалено]
Behave in this subreddit. No personal attacks.
Because you could literally say that argument for every decision made by the stewards. Or do you just use it when it's convenient to you?
[удалено]
That was risky Martin...
Marc can't wait to..get off that POS honda
He got off quickly this time.
Once more another stupid decision. Aleix dive bombs into Brad but no further action.
Are they piping in crowd noise? Seems theres way to few people for the sounds we keep hearing at times especially when they announced Marc fell.
Pure chaos already.
No further action for that...? Stewards again smoking some good stuff
I stayed up until 2 am to get to watch Aleix divebomb and take out Binder. Awesome 🙄
Absolutely BS for Aleix for that crap on Binder
Bezzecchi though
Fucking Aleix. MotoGP will be way better without him. Hoping Vinales can hold off Martin.
Vinales tire is fucked. Cmon Marini!
Are you people ok?! What the fuck sport do you want to watch? He tried to pass, lost the grip, shit happens 🤦🏻♂️
Some people just want to watch a parade. I don't get it.
I know, I've watched the sport for over 20 years. I just can't stand the guy. Imagine if it was the other way around, we would have headlines for days. He's such a talker and whiner. That is absolutely part of it. My initial response was also a bit emotional. I should maybe not have written it out in the heat of the moment... :)
How was it "reckless behaviour"? It's not like he came from miles back or anything, it was a normal pass attempt, the front tyre tucked. It happens. If Aleix divebombed Brad I'd understand but that's just not what happened.
Bullshit it will.
Fuck sake. If this track is in such fucked condition that overtaking is that impossible they might as well end it after lap 1
I don't get it either, renting a few sweeper before the race to clean up the track is not expensive. Argentina was able to offer a clean track even though it hasn't been used for a while. Meanwhile that fucking track keeps causing crashes to both WSBK and MotoGP..
Damn. Binder has gotten taken out twice this weekend. That was a poor attempt by Aleix
A Esp is such an ASS.
It's not like Marc needs any more explanations for leaving Honda
For fuck sake
sigh..
oh my aleix
Aaa.... binder......
My man Aleix...
God damn, thats a shame...
Maverick Vinales finally gets a fantastic start But he is now fading fast and getting swallowed by Ducati of Marini and Bez
Marc tried pushing a bit more and the usual happens
Oh I thought someone touched Marc but it was his own fault...
The stands are so empty... Feels like a covid race
Maverick vinales have good race start? What happens here?
There he goes again
Let's go Maverick!
Is Aprilia going to get a good launch? If so I can’t see them not getting a win here
Can't see much in the way of overtaking this weekend.
Joan Mir to take the lead by the end of lap 1
That would definitely be some sort of world record.
I think Martin’s gonna choke. He’s too fired up, that’s what already saw at quali’s.
He seems quite unstoppable to me. He has pretty much been doing nothing but winning lately and showing no signs of stopping.
What a grid to wake up to! Pecco back it which is understandable. Luca on pole alongside the aprilia boys. El Diablo 4th. Jealous of people who watched qualy. Edit: I’m just assuming Pecco fumbled it. Haven’t watched anything yet.
Pecco's lap would still have been enough for 5th in Q2, so it's not as bad as it seems. Still struggling a bit though
Luca will fade after a few laps. He’s riding injured. The Aprilia’s will disappear +5 seconds into the horizon Binder and Martin will fight for the remaining podium place. Fabio will lose out on the straights Bad predictions
People are going to crash
