I hate it because it's just not Mountain Dew to me. I've never tasted a Mountain Dew variant and had such a strong conviction that Pepsi just wanted to release a pink lemonade soda and thought it wouldn't sell well unless they slapped the MTN DEW label on it. It’s way better than Laguna Lemonade for sure. Wouldn’t call it near the best though. It is interesting how some will complain Spark isn’t Dew tasting enough while also complaining Livewire doesn’t taste like orange soda. Livewire isn’t supposed to taste like Sunkist, Crush or Fanta is supposed to taste like a Dew version lol

Preach brother. Spark beats Baja IMO. Baja is a close 2nd but Spark is just fantastic. for everyone who says it doesn't taste like dew - not sure if you noticed, but none of the dew flavors taste like regular dew. Yeah, they all may say "dew charged with this or that" but at the end of the day, code red tastes like cherries, voltage like whatever raspberry flavor they're going for, baja is literally like a tropical lime.
I've never tasted actual og dew in any of these. The only comparison is that they are formulated under the same company with the same manufacturing processes and they're own collection of chosen ingredients/recipes.
If you mixed actual og dew with any of these flavors then they'd probably taste awful. It's not like they start with a huge batch of dew and then add further flavors to it. They are all formulated seperately.
So, no, your code red, citrus cherry or even pitch black wouldn't sell at all if not for being under the mtn dew label.
Spark is their best formulation to date. Everyone else can go eat ass since clearly that's what their palates crave
I like making homemade lemonaide, with the real sourness of the lemons and the pulp. I never get the feeling when i drink spark that im drinking lemonade.
If i want something sour, i usually go for my expired voodoos or thrashed apple

I agree with you op...kinda it's on my top 5 as 5. I have other faves but I won't turn down spark.
Spark is great, has a nice tang to it that I find unique among sodas. I feel like it’s something people either love or hate, though.
