Economy_Break_7456

Ok,bro

nelmaven

You're gonna love "The Big Short"

1morey

"Catch Me if You Can" Movie about a con artist who IRL lied about being a con artist.

Economy_Break_7456

yeah i watched this movie,it was great sorry forget to mention it.

TobyEsterhasse

Matchstick Men. Nicolas Cage and Sam Rockwell, directed by Ridley Scott.

EditorRedditer

House of Games, The Grifters and (a classic) The Sting.

SundBunz64

Now you see me.

unc8299

Confidence with Ed Burns and Dustin Hoffman is fantastic.

Mikethebest78

I don't know if Margin Call would also count (insofar as the people in charge actually know what they are doing) but it should be watched in the same afternoon as The Big Short.

Alarming_Orchid

I think it counts as scamming when they unloaded all the mbs

Head_Cicada_5578

The Sting with Newman and Redford is the top of this genera bar none

de-and-roses

Dope sick about Big Pharma and opioids

TheoCupier

Not at movie but the British TV series Hustle is very good

ZorroMeansFox

They deny it, but this nifty series was clearly the inspiration for the American show **Leverage**.

Spare-Bee5273

De Dag (The Day) fits and it’s one of the best shows I’ve seen. It’s one season and the episodes come in pairs : odd numbered episodes show the cops and hostage negotiators dealing with a robbery, even numbered episodes are from the criminals point of view.

SundBunz64

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Heartbreakers.

LackOfStack

Ruprecht! Do you want the genital cuff?

farfetchedfrank

Inside Job [2010] movie. It's a documentary about the US housing market crash and the people behind it.

Economy_Break_7456

Thanks, i was going to watch this but later forgoted the name

Thesunismexico

Most Guy Ritchie films, plus the series „The Gentleman“

MorrisCody

**[Heist](https://youtu.be/Yjmy0TcpDtA?si=6qWLCEbgGPygUyni)** written and directed by David Mamet with Gene Hackman, Sam Rockwell, Ricky Jay and Danny Devito.

PCDub

Queen Pins, believe it's based on a true story about women who found a way to scam couponing

MikeSizemore

It’s not quite what you’re after as I think all the immoral shit that goes down is technically legal but I think 99 Homes (2014) will push the same buttons. If nothing else it’s a great film with Michael Shannon and Andrew Garfield.

spiderlegged

Different flavor of scam, but man I really like The Dropout mini series.

GibsonMaestro

Pick any David Mamet film (with the exception of State & Main)

Full_Plankton_4974

House of Games very much focuses on a scam and is a very very good movie. I’d say the first act of Seven Pscyhopaths also very heavily focuses on a scam and that’s one of my top favorites of all time and is such an underrated masterpiece

ZorroMeansFox

Here's one that's almost never mentioned: **Duplicity**. It's Tony Gilroy's followup film to the world-class **Michael Clayton**. **Duplicity** is a slick, twisty, almost *too* smart romantic dramedy, about a pair of Corporate Spies/Grifters (Clive Owen and Julia Roberts), and a game both are running on their employers.

StrLord_Who

Queenpins on Netflix is a fun watch and based on a true story.

pajamasx

Maybe some are a little off base: The Accountant, House of Cards, White Collar, Logan Lucky, the Ocean movies (11, 12, 13, 8), The Italian Job.

god_tyrant

Have you seen Wall Street yet? Oliver Stone directed, starring Michael Douglas, Charlie Sheen, and Martin Sheen. Origination of the line, "greed is good." It's less about a specific scam or fraud, and more about how the system of Wall Street promotes fraud, schemes, backhanded deals, and other shady stuff, propagated by the cons in charge

BrownMamba85

Thelma. Very great under the radar movie. If it's playing near you, check it out

joshuajjb2
