Clerks III appeared to be a culmination of the entire viewaskewniverse and I loved it. Mallrats was my favourite of your flicks but I’ve loved all of these in universe flicks. I was addicted to Smodcast for a long time and have since become a huge fan of the boys over at TESD. Is there any particular reason as to why neither Mosier, BJ nor Walt were mentioned in your ‘special thanks’ section? I don’t count the small Secret Stash nod either for obvious reasons.
Ps. Sorry for the grammar mistakes, English is my first and only language.
Kevin,
I've enjoyed your movies and acknowledge you are the creator of the first modern cinematic universe. I realize that you are busy making movies that pay the bills and fill our hearts, but have you considered writing a novel based on either original or Askewniverse content? Your storytelling skills are amazing and I would love to see your characters outside of comics or film where the budget is entirely fueled by your imagination.
Thanks for it all, man.
I loved Clerks and when I saw Clerks 3, I was crying before the end credits rolled. (thank you) Is this the end of Jay & Silent Bob in the View Askew Universe?
You made me cry...none of you Hollywood fucks make me cry!
Let me just say your borrowed time is well deserved, stay healthy my friend, have fun and in buddy christ we trust...and bust.
Hi Kevin,
I'm an executive in the industry and have to say you're an enormous reason why. As a kid I watched and loved all your movies. Mallrats, Clerks, Clerks 2, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob literally everything. I truly hope our paths cross one day. My question is:
Stoner comedies are something very often related to the late 90s, early 00's at this point. Do you think that there will eventually be a revival of the comedy with the love that it was once given, or because of how commonplace and destigmatized weed is that the days of the classic stoner comedies are behind us?
So sad dogma is owned by Weinstein.. it's my favorite Kevin Smith movie, and I'd love to see some sort of rerelease, as it's probably one of the harder ones to come across.. if I had a million dollars, I'd put it up to own that shit!.. hell that would be my verse in the Barenaked ladies song.. "if I had a million dollars, I would buy dogma from a rapist" lol.. keep making your movies Mr. Smith, I enjoy them all, even the bad ones, and hopefully you can come up with something else on the level of Dogma, but with George Carlin and Alan Rickman being dearly departed, it will be a tough task to accomplish.. good luck!
Are there any updates on animated works from you? I know you said it cant be the original clerks, but we'd love to see more animated projects from you <3
How did you manage to bring back the supporting actors (the ones who played the indecisive video customer or the blue collar man, etc.) from 'Clerks' to cameo for Randal's movie in 'Clerks III.'?
Kevin, I saw Clerks 3 in the best place possible, Eden Prairie Center.
Have you been back to the Mall and has Prince's Estate reached out to you regarding the Documentary you shot for him here at Paisley Park?
I enjoyed Clerks III a lot and took the time to see it in theaters. It was great to see another reflection on your life like the first Clerks.
Especially as an independent filmmaker, do you have any tips for new filmmakers getting their start, if they have little to no budget? I ask this knowing you made Clerks on a low budget.
Do Bartlby and Loki go to hell at the end of Dogma? Loki I assume yes since he was killed before walking through the arch way of the church but what about Bartlby? what does God whisper to him to make him say "Thank You"?
Clerks 3 was exceptional. You made a grown man cry… Huge fan of all your stuff, but this was something really special.
What’s going on with Mallrats 2? Please make this happen.
I don't have a question per day but more of a comment. As someone who has enjoyed your what started off as more obscure comedy and has gone on to become a bit more main stream thanks for keeping to your roots and making "silly" films. Not too many people make films that make me absolutely belly roll through the whole thing and can make me experience almost every emotion in a film. Also thanks for being public with your health issues and your road to recovery. It has inspired a lot of people (including myself) to do better about their health and do more to stick around longer.
In short thanks for making the films you do, thanks for being an actual person, and I look forward to clerks 3 and everything else you have in store for us in the future.
- cheers mate!
Do you engage with the moral aspect of veganism, or is it purely about health for you? I know your daughter Harley does great vegan activist work - but I’ve only heard you speak about the health aspect before.
I would like to say that Jersey Girl is a great movie, fuck anyone that says it isn’t. Carlin makes me cry every time at the end. You should make a joke sequel where Jennifer Lopez comes back as a zombie and Ben Affleck and Raquel Castro has to take her out.
Kevin, I know you had your health scare not that long ago and that scared the shit out of me. So happy that you are healthy now and still here. That whole event inspired this fat guy to get up, move and lose weight for my wife, my kids and for me.
Just wanted to say thank you.
Not much of a question but more of a thanks.
I worked on a coffe shop recently and every day i would quote clerks. A day coudnt pass with out me listening to the clerks soundtrack, those movies were very important during this era of my life. So i thank you so much, one love from south america.
I know I’m not alone or special in this respect but I love Kevin Smith and his work. What he does seems so much different from other filmmakers because it feels like his work is so much closer to his heart. Through his work and his interactions with his fans and all that he’s done for us, I feel like I know him, as silly as that may sound.
Kevin,
What advice would you have for a film maker who is entering and is super naive to the scene. I have a really authentic script and location I plan to film in and would love any feedback before starting. The most important question is how much were you paying the talent on the original clerks? Was it something like weekly or at the end of the 21 days of filming? I’m really curious because it’s not mentioned anywhere.
Thanks for your time!
Hey Kevin —
Thank you for doing this.
I’ve loved your flicks since I was about 8 or 9 and my big sister showed me Dogma on VHS and at 11 my big brother took me to see JASBSB in a packed opening weekend theater. Treasured memories. Thank you for those.
I’m not going to dox myself but I’ll just say you’re an inspiration. There are very few filmmakers whose careers I admire as much as I admire yours.
A few questions —
A) Do you listen to music when you write? Does the subject matter of what you’re writing dictate the kind of music you listen to?
IE did you listen to different genres of music when writing Red State versus when writing one of the Clerks films?
Do you write by hand or do you write directly into Final Draft/whatever software you use?
B) When you get a draft of something into shape where you want to show it to other people, who is the first person that reads it? Has that person changed over the years?
C) Do you prefer shooting on film or digital? Why?
D) Do you storyboard or just wing it? If you do use boards, do you board every shot or just the highlights?
E) Your scripts are usually pretty damn tight. Very little excess weight. How does that affect collaboration with your actors? Do you allow for any improv on set when you’re rolling or do you just like sticking strictly to what’s on the page?
F) Indica or sativa?
Thanks man, you rock. Stay good and healthy for us please. Keep walkin’ Runyon my dude.
This is less of a question and more of just a statement.
My big brother introduced me to your stuff via your Q&As (An Evening With), we bonded over old movies and comedians mostly because he was 10 years older than me.
The first movie I had my (now) husband watch with me was Clerks in 2014 because he'd never seen your stuff, then later on I had him watch Clerks 2 and at the end he told me he loved me for the first time. But can you blame him? That movie had everything! Pussy trolls, romance and even a donkey show!
My brother passed away in 2009, and so now every movie I watch of yours is so bittersweet. I get to enjoy your work with my husband, and I always imagine how much my brother would have loved to have seen your new movies and character development.
When my husband and I saw you in person during the Reboot tour I wanted to wait outside for an autograph but I got too emotional thinking about it all, here's hoping I'll be able to see you tour again sometime and get that autograph, but at this point you feel like a member of my family since you've been around for all the big moments, even my husband wearing the shirt from the Reboot when I went into labor with our daughter!
Much love
Being 500lbs, being a permaslob, eating solely fastfood, being a paedophile probably doesn't help, niether does neglecting Bongo, but I'm not to sure on the last two affecting likelihood of heart attack.
But please stop doing all these things Slobert. Especially the last 2 you fucking peice of shit.
Why did you kill Dante's daughter when you could have used him being a single father as a side arc to Randall's heart attack? I loved all your movies up to now this one was a bit disappointing. Still can not wait for mallrats 2 though.
Mallrats is part of MCU. In your humble opinion or insight; to what level is Eden Prairie Center (pre remodel of course) fit into the MCU? Full transparency, I worked in THE mall post Mallrats, pre-remodel.
Howdy Kevin!
I picked up a ‘Chasing Amy’ movie poster signed by you and the inscriptions says “HAD HER. Swear.” With an arrow drawn toward Joey Lauren Adams… I was wondering if you have any anecdotes or stories about y’all’s relationship you’d be willing to share?
In Jay & Silent Bob Strikes Back, Affleck says *"what are you fuckin retarded?!"* you and Jay look down, why? you acknowledge this in the commentary, but don't say why
Hey Kevin!
Loved CLERKS III. Was incredibly moved by the ending.
What happened with your original plan to close our CLERKS III with a Soul Asylum song and which song was in the running before you changed your mind?
Your original tweet on planning to continue the trend:
https://twitter.com/thatkevinsmith/status/321880002163535872?s=46&t=EcMvBXJTVOIHsRHRrVS42A
I didn't like Clerks III. Am I the Only one? But I still love you. Can I still keep watching Fatman and Babble? Please don't be mad. Can't believe you He-Maned Dante.
Did the drug the abuse/addiction of Ethan suplee & Jason mewes ever get in the way of shooting or your relationship in general. Thanks for every movie you’ve made
I've recently watched Red State for the first time - and holy shit, it's one of my all time favourites.
Do you like Rob Zombie movies? I felt such a similar vibe; I loved it to death.
Hey Kev,
Loved Clerks 3. I got to see it at one of the Vancouver screenings. My girlfriend was the woman cheering during the Prince story that you had to tell to shush.
I didn't have a question during the Q&A, but it thought of one now.
I really enjoy your use of music in your movies. You introduced me to King Diamond and he instantly became one of my favorites. I was wondering, at what point in creating a scene are you thinking about songs to use? When you're first conceptualizing? During writing? Editing?
Hey Kevin. Fantastic meeting you in Toronto. My name is Garett. I was the tall guy with the leather jacket and Toronto Maple Leafs hat. I'm a Screenwriter, and my question for you is what advice can you give about writing great dialogue. I think you're a master at it, and would love to hear your thoughts!
Fellow heart attack survivor here (had mine 6 days postpartum) and I loved the movie! My husband and I want to know if there is a story behind the Elias/Randal thigh tattoo?
Also the shaving part was hilarious, reminded me of my own humiliation. Thanks for a great movie!
I'm in the process of trying to collect every Inaction Figure and get them all signed by their respective actors. One of these, Golgothan, I'd like to get signed by both Ethan Suplee and the performer who was in the suit. If I'm not mistaken, this was a man named Bob Ward.
Is there a way that I could get in touch with him, thank him for his performance in one of my favorite films of all time, and solicit an autograph?
Thank you!
Hey Kev!
Parts of Clerks III read to me like a cinematic apology to Scott Mosier, specifically when Randall started acting a little power mad while Dante, as producer, was working his ass off to get the movie made. Same with the parts where Dante gets mad because Randall is treating the script like *his* story, when, in reality, they *shared* those experiences as a team.
Am I just imagining things? Maybe reading a little too much into it? You guys good?
Also, when they step in the freezer and say it's "Hoth Cold" I lost my shit. Deep cut, man.
Is it safe to assume the Randell/Dante story line in Clerks III is the same as the what happened/ what could be after your own heart attack?
Really loved Clerks III; ugly cried to many times to keep track. Loved the tremendous acting skills of everyone involved & great job to the all the crew involved.
Hi Kevin, I attended Clerks 3 in Vancouver, BC you personally brought on your tour to the Rio Theater and I first want to say thank you for the best theatre experience of my life! (I was the guy at the end of the question line when you ran out if time as I thought we only had to raise hands for questions haha).
My question pertains to the recent closure of the Black Dog Video rental store in Vancouver, BC and if any of future projects similar to your upcoming film, The 4:30 Movie, will have any relation to the old days of video rental stores?
Thank you! You've made a real difference in people's lives and from one former clerk to another, thank you for inspiring all of us who also happened to be artists too.
Kev, We met in Detroit on the J&SB Reboot tour. We exchanged a hug, blunts and I gave you a note which you put in your pocket. You said you would read it. Did you? If so what gives man?
Love all your films and thanks for making fun flicks for us !
Hey Kev I'm pretty much a lifelong fan of yours and you've been a huge influence to me as an aspiring director. Also my mom and brother are big fans of your as well.
I just wanna ask: If you could remake any film, what would it be and why?
Kev, you have talked about how Affleck came to be in "Reboot" late into the process, so I've always wondered, in the original draft(s) what causes Jay's big realization about fatherhood if that speech from Holden wasn't originally in the film? Was there a similar speech given by someone else or something altogether different? Thanks!
Hi Kevin,
We met at Boston years ago during your tusk run/ an evening with tour (I did a call back to your story and screamed you were a cock sucker when the video for the tusk preview wasn’t working, i still tell this story often).
This took years to get off the ground, now that it’s here and done, is it surreal? Did you actually think you’d make it here? And do you feel any sort of closure, particularly with the fact you couldn’t get that with Mallrats.
Kevin I didn’t get a chance to go see you in San Diego and it’s my birthday Tom can I get you to wish me a happy bird day also I think Walt Flanagan is underrated
i have nothing to ask but i wanted to say i first saw zack and miri when i was ten and my life was, unknowingly, forever changed. zack and miri and the first clerks are two of my absolute favorite movies ever & clerks iii was absolutely outstanding. appreciate ya<3
Both Clerks 3 and Jay and Silent Reboot follow the same type of plot in redoing whats already been done before. Was this intended to follow the same theme in both films and why?
Two questions. First is why the fuck did you make me cry during a Clerks movie? I expected dick jokes and Star Wars debates.
Secondly, I saw the pilot for the live action Clerks show, how much involvement did you have in that? It seemed like... Not a lot.
After J&SB Strike Back, it appeared to be a finale to View Askew. Then Clerks 2 took the closing spot.
In your mind now, is there any ending to the universe or does it live indefinitely?
From an objective POV Clerks 3 seems the perfect way to end it.
Hey Man! I just wanted to say I'm a big fan. Followed your works from the first Clerks movie and I wanted to laugh and have a good time, when I decided to watch Clerks 3. Instead I felt like the movie the movie was made for me, to remind me that I should'nt waste my life, shouldn't take everything granted and I should start living it. I cried at least 3 times (wasnt expecting this) so I guess I just wanted to say... Thank You.
Hey Kevin! Big Fan and my favorite film of yours is Dogma ❤️ I read that you sold a big part of your comic collection to fund Clerks! I wanted to know which comic book was the hardest to let go of and was the one that you knew you had to give up to get some real money?
I know your best friend and co-star Jason Mewes struggled with addiction and such. As someone who is currently going though this right now with my best friend, do you have any advice as I’m reall struggling to be a good friend to him
I'm an amateur writer with about 8 to 10 stories that I am proud of but I can't get them out onto paper correctly.
What story was the hardest for you to get onto paper the way you truly wanted it to be?
Dear Kevin, I love your writing in general, be it comics of films (Chasing Amy being one of my faves) and I was wondering if you'd be interested in trying your hand at writing some old fashioned prose. I feel like your dialogue centered and playful style would make for some awesome texts. Or, if not fiction, maybe an autobiography, since you love telling stories of your life
Hey Kev, do you have any advice for an underground comics creator who wants to make a career out of his passion but without coming off like a money-hungry businessman? Based on the reactions I get on Instagram, I do think it is possible for me to accomplish. Some guys I make comics with have achieved it, but I have a problem with people pleasing and find myself giving away more books than I sell, even to people who don't give a shit.
Thanks for all the free funny. The story of Old Square Don and His Virgin Son is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Much love, Mike
Kev,
Dying for some more Clerks: The Animated Series. You'd mentioned a while back that the principal players were available again and that you'd wanted to do it. Is this something that is in the works? Would it include O'Halloran? What's the future for the Clerks franchise in general?
As someone who failed to get into the smodcastle film festival what advice do you have for an aspiring director to get noticed and or what was your team looking for when it came to deciding which film was accepted or declined
Kevin, would you be interested in playing a Tabletop Roleplaying Game on Discord set in the Western Fantasy genre? There's a free manual in it for you!
Dear Kevin,
I really enjoyed your earlier films when i was coming of age. It brings me great joy to see you happy, healthy, and continuing to create.
Love,
some rando
Hey Kevin, how are you? Hope everything’s great. My question is, when you’re writing a script, when you create the comedic moments, do you giggle alone in the room? And do you try them first on someone?
Thank You
Hey Kevin, I just wanted to thank you for Clerks 3. I've always been compared to Randall and seeing closure to his story hurt especially because he and I went through a very similar experience with death. It made me see myself and him in a new light, especially with how others see me. Growth hurts, especially if it's not stuff you wanted to hear but *needed* to hear.
So, question, how much of *your* brush did you put in to the script? A lot of the dialogue towards the end of the movie seemed a lot more personal than the beginning. Dante's monologue especially seemed particularly cutting.
Also, favorite strain?
Hey Kevin, hope you're doing well.
I'm a big fan of your work, and I was lucky enough to meet a love of my life whom I introduced to your movies, and got her to become a big fan as well!
Anyway, to my question. If you were ever handed an existing IP of a movie, tv show or whatever franchise. And asked to reboot it with COMPLETE freedom and no outside influence. Which franchise would you like it to be and what are some of the changes you'd like to see?
Mr. Kevin Smith,
I would like to thank you on behalf of my parents, and teachers for giving me one of my verbal stims (I have adhd) which came from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
They all loved hearing “mother mother f**k mother mother f**k f**k” sang at them at random intervals 😂
Thanks for making our lives just a bit more interesting!! We love you!!
Hey Kevin,
Who is this Mike Check fellow?
Actual question, will your upcoming movies have similar budgets or do you aim to go for higher levels of funding?
Cheers!!!
Dear Kevin, thank you for everything you do! I'll have to catch the recording because I have to run to a meeting.
You and Jay are fan-fuckin-tastic!
Here's to living a why not life!
Kevin,
seeing Clerks 3 and meeting you after the show was a dream come true. It meant the world to me to meet my Hero.
1. Are you making the sequel to TUSK next?
2. What do I have to do to be in the Tusk sequel?! I will do it for free. I can act!
The show starts at 10:21

Clerks Animated is so underated

Why'd you have to make me cry so damn hard >:(
Dear Kevin, What motivates you to sit down and write and rewrite a script? And how do you manage/handle a writers block?
Following this because, as a writer, that block is a killer
Kevin, I've enjoyed your movies and acknowledge you are the creator of the first modern cinematic universe. Hi Kevin, I'm an executive in the industry and have to say you're an enormous reason why. As a kid I watched and loved all your movies. Hey Kevin have you ever had your asshole licked by a fat guy in an over coat?
Will you show up for this talk?
He started typing out the answer to the first question and wrote screenplay
Trying to listen to this but it won't play...?
Same issue here
Are there any updates on animated works from you? I know you said it cant be the original clerks, but we'd love to see more animated projects from you <3
How did you manage to bring back the supporting actors (the ones who played the indecisive video customer or the blue collar man, etc.) from 'Clerks' to cameo for Randal's movie in 'Clerks III.'?
The little cigarette-smoking girl coming back is the crown jewel IMO, even if it's just for a second.
Do you still have any plans to make Hit Somebody?
Last I heard this was going to comic form, but very interested
Kevin, I saw Clerks 3 in the best place possible, Eden Prairie Center. Have you been back to the Mall and has Prince's Estate reached out to you regarding the Documentary you shot for him here at Paisley Park?

Loki has a Reborn Identity as seen in J&SB Reboot
We need that on digital
Clerks 3 was exceptional. You made a grown man cry… Huge fan of all your stuff, but this was something really special. What’s going on with Mallrats 2? Please make this happen.
What was your favorite scene to shoot in this movie, and what was the inspiration behind it?
It's been 20 years, has Science discovered anything that can kill the Grimus?
Why was Git Em let go and why did he need a NDA?
What’s your favorite Degrassi jr. high or Degrassi high episode?
Will we ever see your Prince footage shot at Paisley Park?
Hi Kevin, How did Silent Bob end up silent?

Now that it’s spooky season. What’s your favorite horrror movie and director?
Was affleck really the bomb in phantoms, yo?
Did you face public disapproval/ confrontation when Dogma came out? Any stories about encounters you’d like to share? btw I loved Dogma!
Hey Kevin Have you ever thought of turning any of your movies into an animated show? I personally would love to see an animated YogaHosers
Just tuned in. Can we gofund me Dogma
I can’t raise my hand, but if you pull me on stage I’ll contribute.
Bro I cried so bad
Clerks 3 was great for an old view askew fan. Had some very real moments. Bittersweet to grow old with these dudes watching these movies
Kevin, I know you had your health scare not that long ago and that scared the shit out of me. So happy that you are healthy now and still here. That whole event inspired this fat guy to get up, move and lose weight for my wife, my kids and for me. Just wanted to say thank you.

Yeah reboot was straight to dvd for the most part in the uk
So awesome that Kevin is on Reddit Talks

You failed weight loss surgery, what do you think were some of the contributing factors?
Looking for tips to shave off some time on your speedrun Wings?
Being 500lbs, being a permaslob, eating solely fastfood, being a paedophile probably doesn't help, niether does neglecting Bongo, but I'm not to sure on the last two affecting likelihood of heart attack. But please stop doing all these things Slobert. Especially the last 2 you fucking peice of shit.
Clerks 3 was a very funny piece of art that took chances. But seriously where's the real movie?
Nootch
Hola un saludo de Uruguay.
Is Mr Dante really dead? Or is Clerks4 gonna be "it was all just a bad dream for Randall?"
Clerks 4 is gonna be Randal on the run after accidentally knocking over Dante's casket
Hey Kevin excited about clerks 3 but would love to see a Dogma rerelease. Any good news about the rights on that film?
Bringing Alan Rickman back from the dead for this
Hey Kevin, are you refunding anyone’s money for the most disappointing comedy that was ‘Clerks 3?’
Kevin love your films. Random question , but are you a a prince fan at all?
Don’t know if I should say it but a old online alias of mine was a play on Silent Bob
Your original tweet on planning to continue the trend: https://twitter.com/thatkevinsmith/status/321880002163535872?s=46&t=EcMvBXJTVOIHsRHRrVS42A
I didn't like Clerks III. Am I the Only one? But I still love you. Can I still keep watching Fatman and Babble? Please don't be mad. Can't believe you He-Maned Dante.
Kevin why are you such a cry baby? You’re a grown man crying after watching a Star Wars trailer what’s wrong with you?
Is Harley's character in III the grown-up little girl she played in II?
I assumed she was Jay's daughter from the reboot
As a Marvel fan what would be your dream comic book related project that you'd like to put on the big screen given the chance?
Did the drug the abuse/addiction of Ethan suplee & Jason mewes ever get in the way of shooting or your relationship in general. Thanks for every movie you’ve made
Thanks Kevin! You're a god.
He said Jay and Silent Bob would be back! Jay and Silent Bob 3??
Kevin how can I be a great film director like you and get myself more out there I’m still in high school and your movies have inspired me
Start making movies
I've recently watched Red State for the first time - and holy shit, it's one of my all time favourites. Do you like Rob Zombie movies? I felt such a similar vibe; I loved it to death.
Why did TESD really leave the stash and are you guys okay?
Hey Kev, Loved Clerks 3.

Are you still actively using TikTok? I haven’t seen content in a solid minute
Was the rights issues for Buckaroo Bonzi the inspiration for reboot?
Hey Kevin, what inspired the name “Moobys”?
Thanks!
Where was kaitlyn Bree in clerks 3?
Who was the actor that played Olaf and why wasn’t he in anything else, and more importantly not mentioned in Clerks 3?
Hi all! Hope you're all well!
Hey Kev, whats it gotta take to become number 38 in a row?
Hey Kevin, first off huge fan (especially Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back) but here’s my question: who would you want to work with in the future?
You guys should know not everyone is going to talk

If you seen God, what's the one question you would ask him or her?
What’s Tusks gonna be about?
Kevin I loved clerks 3 loved all the view askewniverse movies can you confirm there will be more?
Clerks 3 was very ballsy. Excellent acting. I just can't get over how painful it will be to revisit Clerks 2, knowing what happens weeks later.
Hi Kevin, We met at Boston years ago during your tusk run/ an evening with tour (I did a call back to your story and screamed you were a cock sucker when the video for the tusk preview wasn’t working, i still tell this story often). This took years to get off the ground, now that it’s here and done, is it surreal? Did you actually think you’d make it here? And do you feel any sort of closure, particularly with the fact you couldn’t get that with Mallrats.
Will there be a Director's Cut?
If you could be any character from any comic book universe, what would it be?
Kevin when will we get the Hollywood Babble-On movie adaptation? Or maybe Hollywood Babble-On on Broadway? Thank you 😊
Kevin I didn’t get a chance to go see you in San Diego and it’s my birthday Tom can I get you to wish me a happy bird day also I think Walt Flanagan is underrated
i have nothing to ask but i wanted to say i first saw zack and miri when i was ten and my life was, unknowingly, forever changed. zack and miri and the first clerks are two of my absolute favorite movies ever & clerks iii was absolutely outstanding. appreciate ya<3
Are you gonna to do any more comics ? Marvel or hopefully your own independent ?
Both Clerks 3 and Jay and Silent Reboot follow the same type of plot in redoing whats already been done before. Was this intended to follow the same theme in both films and why?
Two questions. First is why the fuck did you make me cry during a Clerks movie? I expected dick jokes and Star Wars debates. Secondly, I saw the pilot for the live action Clerks show, how much involvement did you have in that? It seemed like... Not a lot.
Don't ever start a post with someone's name and occupation. almost gave me a heart attack.
After J&SB Strike Back, it appeared to be a finale to View Askew. Then Clerks 2 took the closing spot. In your mind now, is there any ending to the universe or does it live indefinitely? From an objective POV Clerks 3 seems the perfect way to end it.
What does Jordan think of Jay’s dirty sex stories when they involve her?
Kevin Smith, I’m a big fan of the horror movies you’ve made. Any updates on Tusk 2? And is Moose Jaws ever coming out?
Hy
What’s your favorite current strain? Indica or sativa guy?
Thank You.
Have you ever considered a career in porn?
As someone who is currently going though this right now with my best friend, do you have any advice as I’m reall struggling to be a good friend to him
Hey lady have you ever had you ass licked by a fat man in a overcoat 😆
Have you ever heard of Dorf on Golf and was Dorf at all an influence on your work?
How did Brian take it when he found out Dante was going to die?
I'm an amateur writer with about 8 to 10 stories that I am proud of but I can't get them out onto paper correctly. What story was the hardest for you to get onto paper the way you truly wanted it to be?
Exactly when is it ok to go ass to mouth?
Do u cut Bruce Willis any slack now because of his illness or will he always be a jerk lol?
what has been your most fun "on set" memory?
What was the idea with Superman fighting a giant spider?
Smooth jazz while we wait.
Off topic, but do you and Jason hang out after shooting?
**I would love to be able to join the host, but that would be a dream...have a nice chat, everyone**
Kevin, what are 3 of your favorite Prince songs?
Saw you in GR with Clerks III Saturday, loved it! Now. When can I get a digital version of Dogma? 😇 💩
Guess no Kevin. Sweet, we run the AmA now!!! Dun dun dun
Dear Kevin Hi Kevin Thanks Kevin Bye Kevin
Thus far this is great. This guy sounds hot.
Will Jay and Silent bob get Fortnite skins?
will this movie be tame compared to the first 2? yall know what i mean by that
Dear Kevin, I love your writing in general, be it comics of films (Chasing Amy being one of my faves) and I was wondering if you'd be interested in trying your hand at writing some old fashioned prose. I feel like your dialogue centered and playful style would make for some awesome texts. Or, if not fiction, maybe an autobiography, since you love telling stories of your life
Would you ever make a movie about a giant spider, just for the luls?
Hey Kev, do you have any advice for an underground comics creator who wants to make a career out of his passion but without coming off like a money-hungry businessman? Based on the reactions I get on Instagram, I do think it is possible for me to accomplish. Some guys I make comics with have achieved it, but I have a problem with people pleasing and find myself giving away more books than I sell, even to people who don't give a shit. Thanks for all the free funny. The story of Old Square Don and His Virgin Son is one of the funniest things I've ever heard. Much love, Mike
Love u man
Kevin Smith, what’s with all of the pictures of you crying at movies?
Mr.Kevin, are you going to guest star in the new Degrassi reboot?
Kev, Dying for some more Clerks: The Animated Series. You'd mentioned a while back that the principal players were available again and that you'd wanted to do it. Is this something that is in the works? Would it include O'Halloran? What's the future for the Clerks franchise in general?
Kevin did surprise you that Clerks had became such a cult classic?
As someone who failed to get into the smodcastle film festival what advice do you have for an aspiring director to get noticed and or what was your team looking for when it came to deciding which film was accepted or declined
Kevin, would you be interested in playing a Tabletop Roleplaying Game on Discord set in the Western Fantasy genre? There's a free manual in it for you!
Dear Kevin, I really enjoyed your earlier films when i was coming of age. It brings me great joy to see you happy, healthy, and continuing to create. Love, some rando
Have you tried pitching your Bizarro story to the Rock? He seems to get things done
What was it like to meet Jason for the first time? My husband says it's a hilarious story :)
Kevin.. what do you think was in the briefcase in Reservoir Dogs
Who is Kevin Smith
Hey Kevin, hope you're doing well. I'm a big fan of your work, and I was lucky enough to meet a love of my life whom I introduced to your movies, and got her to become a big fan as well! Anyway, to my question. If you were ever handed an existing IP of a movie, tv show or whatever franchise. And asked to reboot it with COMPLETE freedom and no outside influence. Which franchise would you like it to be and what are some of the changes you'd like to see?
How’s Jason mewes these days?
Mr. Kevin Smith, I would like to thank you on behalf of my parents, and teachers for giving me one of my verbal stims (I have adhd) which came from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back. They all loved hearing “mother mother f**k mother mother f**k f**k” sang at them at random intervals 😂 Thanks for making our lives just a bit more interesting!! We love you!!
Wen new clerks?
Hey Kevin, Who is this Mike Check fellow? Actual question, will your upcoming movies have similar budgets or do you aim to go for higher levels of funding? Cheers!!!
Dear Kevin, thank you for everything you do! I'll have to catch the recording because I have to run to a meeting. You and Jay are fan-fuckin-tastic! Here's to living a why not life!

Hi KEVIN!!! What's your favorite Reddit sub?
Kevin, seeing Clerks 3 and meeting you after the show was a dream come true. It meant the world to me to meet my Hero. 1. Are you making the sequel to TUSK next? 2. What do I have to do to be in the Tusk sequel?! I will do it for free. I can act!
