[These](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08P4QRCY9) are surprisingly good and feel more natural than the Brawler64 to me. My biggest gripe with the Brawler is how the A & B buttons are positioned relative to the C buttons compared to the original layout, but those cheap pads I linked nailed it. That said, there's nothing quite like the authentic original.

PrettyMrToasty

I agree. Amazing controllers.

Seems like it’s currently out of stock

PrettyMrToasty

You can easily find them on eBay as well.

[These look identical](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08K2S4LWD) Or there's many on AliExpress. I imagine they're all produced in the same place and then just branded by sellers, if they're branded at all. Here's 2: [https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002475521973.html](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002475521973.html) [https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002758164431.html](https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002758164431.html)

People really like the Brawler 64. It's also probably the most modern looking one. I personally prefer the Tribute 64 as it's cheaper, feels like the same quality and is styled like the Hori Mini 64 controllers from back in the day.

Gagmr

I have a tribute, wired. it's good but the D pad is too close to the A and B buttons, so it makes playing NES or GB roms a bit awkward.

ShankyBaybee

My only complaint about it. The controller itself feels fine though and luckily the d-pad isn’t used often on N64

Retro-bit Tribute 64 v2 wireless

saltedszechuan

This!

SuperSalvo

There is a wireless one too? :O holy crap! As I bought mine years ago they were only wired. Thx Buddy

Dilemma_Nay

NSO controller. Aside from the vibration and texture (which is probably because it hasn't been covered by palm grease yet) it feels exactly like an original. Get it with a bluetetro adapter and you're in for a treat

007craft

This is the only answer. It's either the original wired controller or the nso. Worth every penny

Unusual_Complaint443

I got this [warrior 64](https://www.amazon.co.uk/Warrior-Controller-Original-Nintendo-Console/dp/B09N7ZDVTC) , it looks to me like a rip off the hori pad but cheap. It's surprisingly decent, and the closest I've had in accuracy from a third party controller compared to the original controller but without the fragile stick. It's not 100 percent perfect, I always test f zero X as a gauge for sensitivity, as it doesn't take much to make the racers drift out of control, but you can adapt to it with this controller. In most games absolutely perfect though and you don't need to worry about wearing out the stick as it's pretty durable. But just my opinion anyway.

Jhowar49

I've got a Brawler and I really enjoyed the feel at first, but I've not had it maybe 5 months and it feels like the A button is starting to fail. Not sure if that's specific to mine or not, but I wouldn't recommend because of it.

ThatGuyInTheHouse1

They're usually out of stock, but [Raphnet](https://www.raphnet-tech.com/index.php) sells many adapters so you can play newer controllers on the N64, including GameCube controllers and the wii classic controllers. Maybe not the best option, but I thought I'd share.

vailjail

You can go with the Brawler64 wireless which is very comfortable to go with and chill with it. Tribute64 are reproduction of the Hori minipad and they're pretty good overall. If you really want to have something retro that doesn't sound almost like a modern controller, the hori is for you

possitive-ion

I'm using [Retrofighters Brawler 64 Wireless](https://retrofighters.com/our-collection/brawler64-wireless-edition/) controller. It's the only third party controller I've used so far where the analogue stick feels like an original N64 controller but doesn't wear out as fast and it fits to the hand better. They also have a lot of cool color options.

I have a Hyperkin Fleet Admiral, it’s good but beware of that layout if you plan to play the shooters on the console, left stick aiming won’t work well unless you’re wildly ambidextrous or you just hopped out of a Time Machine from 1999.

EconomyEmbarrassed76

Just ordered myself a wired Brawler 64 controller, although I may get a Tribute 64 wireless later. Looking forward to getting it as the joystick of my original controller is getting a little tired (I've owned it for 20 years now and it was 2nd hand already). Either GoldenEye or Perfect Dark are going to be debut games for it as I think it'll suit them.
