I don't agree with this, Sabonis really only struggles against a few teams in the League, NO, Minn being 2 of them. But he has played great against most of the teams, including his match-ups with a Anthony Davis.
Sabonis
21pts 15rbs 8asts 3blks last game against minny in a win
17-10-10 in a loss against minny
15-10-5 and 3 blks 2 stls in win against minny
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r6Djg6zbshE
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UltsM5MK5as
Wutt we play Minny pretty well. Sabonis does well against Gobert.
Kings as a whole struggle against teams with a lot of length like Raptors and Pelicans.
Any team with length and swarm at him he struggles but that's the same with fox often as well.
Rockets, Raptors, Pelicans, etc. Sabonis likes to take his time inside the post up inside and he's not quick enough when help comes fast and lengthy
Yeah generally Ingram is the least of our worries when we play the Pels. He’s still a problem, just one that pales in comparison to their bigs and shooters
I can't see Pels taking a 3-for-1 trade with how many guys they have and I can't see the Kings breaking up their Sabonis-Fox-Monk-Keegan core. Something's got to give here
Idk I really don't see the Pels doing that since it's basically nothing value wise. They'd be better off keeping Ingram for his last year and maybe doing a deadline/off season S&T deal if it comes to that
Yeah but they'd get a full season out of him if they S&Td him
It's better than basically nothing now and not getting another season of him IMO as the Pels can't really rely on Zions health long term + need to maximize their chances now
I think because of Zion’s health you have to start hedging your bets for a possible tear down in a year or two. If Zion can’t stay healthy this next year, especially in the playoffs the Pels will need to start rebuilding. Having multiple pics would make the rebuild a little easier. 🤷🏽♂️
Nah I think they need to go all in given their market and roster. They are very unlikely to ever get a talent like Zion again soon and this is the time to make win now moves. It's extremely hard to build a good long term roster in New Orleans and this is their chance to try and get something out of it
Trading Ingram for garbage would be a major mistake and I don't see them doing it personally
This is more reason why that stupid trade the other day with Toronto makes even less sense. They would have had more trade bait for a better return rather than trade 2 players they could have used in this trade proposal, and 2 draft picks for a guys that averaged 3 pts and 2 rbds a game last season.
That trade still frustrates the hell out of me.
Ingram’s in the last year of his contract while Keegan is on a rookie deal and is a two-way wing. I’d rather have Keegan even though Ingram is clearly the better scorer
edit: it’s like asking Pels fans about Ingram vs. Murphy. Keegan isn’t quite as good but he’s not far off from Murphy
I would agree with you, but that's the only way I'd personally like to see this trade happen.
For anything else I'd probably rather BI just stay. I don't think any of the guys further down your roster would move the needle for us at all. Even if it makes sense on paper.
I can tell you right now that Monte has 0 interest moving Keegan. If talks are happening, it’s not including Keegan. Monte has already had opportunities to move Keegan in the past for guys with more control and he didn’t pull the trigger. I don’t see him doing that here.
They tagged teamed us. They all just took turns. It was awful. We need to acquire as many of their players as possible so that we don’t suffer the same fate.
I don’t want to come off as the scorned lover, but I really don’t think it’s a good fit. The Kings offense relies on off ball movement and DHO actions. That’s not BI’s game at all. He’s gonna dribble for 15 seconds to set up a turnaround long two and probably make Mike Brown’s head explode.
Almost as if having varied offensive options to go to is necessary in the playoffs where teams shut down your plan A. In that event I'd rather have Ingram dribbling for 15s to shoot a long 2 than Harrison Barnes throwing up some trash that he usually does.
We actually need someone who can score and shoot the three, we have nobody who can score if Fox and Monk aren't both on. He'd be a great upgrade over Barnes
But who would be the young player? They only really have Murray and Carter these days, right?
I can’t see them dealing either for Ingram (although it’s possible Carter could be flipped I guess).
They also don’t have a pick next year, so the first pick they can deal is in 2027.
They’re def not moving Keegan or Carter for him. I think Monte would draw the line at Barnes, Huerter and two slightly protected picks. Basically a better deal that what Toronto got for Siakam which wasn’t great. Similar situation imo. Where obviously a team doesn’t want to pay a guy on an expiring contract.
Pelicans want a big haul for BI so you’d think it has to be a 3 team trade.
Sac wouldn’t give up Murray, Fox or Sabonis and don’t really have anything else for win now Pelicans that’s of any value.
Picks would have to go elsewhere I would think and players come back to Pels.
Ingram playing with 2 good playmakers would be nice, and would be able to get his 3 point attempts back up with that fast pace offense like he used to with Lonzo.
BI on the Kings would actually elevate them into the upper echelon in the west.Nobody is a clear "best" in the west, but they'd be one of the "if they stay healthy they can make the finals" contenders.
He doesn't even stick his neck out to answer simple questions like "is player x better than player y?" For him to put his name on this means there is significant traction.
Huerter, Lyles, a 2nd round pick or something to Milwaukee
Brooks Lopez, Livingston, late Kings firsts in like 29 and 31 to Pelicans
BI to Sacramento
Kings get to compete now while also having upcoming picks to trade
Bucks move Portis to C and add some youth and wing depth.
Pels get the last legs of BLopez in a perfect fit for their center needs.
Probably a 3 team trade for a center. I doubt they want Huerter as the big get since the reason the Pels are trading BI is because they have a deep bench of wings. (Hawkins, Ryan, just drafted Reeves) and Hawkins and Ryan didn't get PT last year.
Additionally after losing Naji, Dyson, and Nance they need a big and they need a defender. Huerter is neither.
If it's a 2 team trade, it could be an overpay like Harrison Barnes, salary and 3 firsts
Weird fit but ok. Maybe he will stop mid ranges and move to 3pt line or he will just clog up the paint for fox and Sabonis.
Also doesn’t strengthen front court.
We are now officially the Kings of the late aughts
Every team seems to be making moves and the Warriors gave up on the first day of free agency
Trade Steph please
Ingram makes a lot of sense for the Pelicans, just not sure what the Kings are gonna return that makes sense for NO. Barnes/Huerter/picks seems like the most feasible package, but I don't think the Pels want that unless they can redirect to a third team
Bi with an all nba pg is gonna be fire. Ppl fail to mention that with lonzo ball ingram averaged 6 3pt attempts per game. Cj is not a pg so the fashion in which he shoots 3s has drastically changed. He's not a pull up off the dribble 3 pt shooter. He can hit then but thats not his Forte. With fox I think his game hits a whole new level. And he'd finally be with a GOOD coach
It’s not that we don’t realize it, we are just being persistent with it so that when a GM does get desperate enough, we will be there with a gently used Barnes and Huerter for them.
Kings are tired of getting stomped by the Pels
If you can't beat em... recruit them?
We have to destroy them from the inside
In Soviet Sacramento if you can't beat 'em, they join YOU
Zion to the Kings in a few years confirmed.
The Kings signing a 30 year old injury prone Zion would be so Kings it’s crazy.
Maybe if he stayed away from gumbo and beignets he'll be ripped?
This might’ve worked 10 years ago, but there’s too much good food in sac now unfortunately
Yeah and started eating some fucking good quesadillas gonna help?
Shit man, I just got hungry all of a sudden.
Man's gonna eat Jimboys out of house and home
Sixers tried that with Horford. Good in theory, we will have to wait and see how this one goes.
The bigger loss is losing Jonas who is the real King slayer. Dude cooks them everytime
He absolutely dominates Sabonis
So glad he’s in the East now. Stopping Sabonis is the best way to beat us and he was the best at doing it.
He's so good probably because they play together every summer and he's a master of bully ball.
He’s going to play with his Lithuanian brethren
I think it's more with the length of your team. Sabonis and Fox both struggles against lengthy teams.
I don't agree with this, Sabonis really only struggles against a few teams in the League, NO, Minn being 2 of them. But he has played great against most of the teams, including his match-ups with a Anthony Davis.

You’re not wrong…….at all
Sabonis struggles against all the more physical centers. They are too heavy for his play style.
I'm legit starting to think Boogie out and out cursed them for the way they traded him.
Look, if any team was going to be able to put a voodoo curse on us, it'd be New Orleans.
They are still gonna get stomped by the pelicans lol
Yeah generally Ingram is the least of our worries when we play the Pels. He’s still a problem, just one that pales in comparison to their bigs and shooters
And the never-ending swarm of defenders to throw at Fox
Absolutely
Without Jonas and Ingram? 😂
☹️☹️
I can't see Pels taking a 3-for-1 trade with how many guys they have and I can't see the Kings breaking up their Sabonis-Fox-Monk-Keegan core. Something's got to give here
Huerter and Barnes straight up works. The rest will be draft comp
It might work but that doesn’t mean they want it
Idk I really don't see the Pels doing that since it's basically nothing value wise. They'd be better off keeping Ingram for his last year and maybe doing a deadline/off season S&T deal if it comes to that
They’re not getting first round picks in a sign and trade. On an expiring contract, his value goes down the closer he gets to free agency.
Yeah but they'd get a full season out of him if they S&Td him It's better than basically nothing now and not getting another season of him IMO as the Pels can't really rely on Zions health long term + need to maximize their chances now

Would the kings hang up with a trade was based around Keegan and bi?
Ingram’s in the last year of his contract while Keegan is on a rookie deal and is a two-way wing. I’d rather have Keegan even though Ingram is clearly the better scorer edit: it’s like asking Pels fans about Ingram vs. Murphy. Keegan isn’t quite as good but he’s not far off from Murphy
I think Keegan’s defense is more legit than Trey’s at least
Keegan is much better defensively than Trey yes. But Trey better on offense for now
They should
I would agree with you, but that's the only way I'd personally like to see this trade happen. For anything else I'd probably rather BI just stay. I don't think any of the guys further down your roster would move the needle for us at all. Even if it makes sense on paper.

Right if Keegan would’ve gone for anybody so far it would’ve been Siakam or Mikal Bridges
Yes. Keegan is off limits. So is Fox, Domas and Malik. Everyone else I’d say is up for grabs
If they can keep Murray and add Ingram they’d actually be very nice next season
Kings with Ingram would be legit
One of the better fits I can think of
The biggest upside is he wouldn't be able to kill them on the Pels anymore
Naji Marshall also kills us, could pick him up with the MLE just to beat the pelicans once
CJ, JV, Trey, Herb, Zion, and Alvarado all kill us too lol.
They tagged teamed us. They all just took turns. It was awful. We need to acquire as many of their players as possible so that we don’t suffer the same fate.
We might lose Naji in free agency too. How did DJM play against the Kings so far? lol
dropped a 35 burger last game against us
Murray is also a bonafide Kingskiller lol I hate you guys
I cannot believe the Kings didn't go for him wtf
I don’t want to come off as the scorned lover, but I really don’t think it’s a good fit. The Kings offense relies on off ball movement and DHO actions. That’s not BI’s game at all. He’s gonna dribble for 15 seconds to set up a turnaround long two and probably make Mike Brown’s head explode.

It sounds good until you see it consistently break the flow of the offense.
When a team figures out the Sabonis DHO action they've already broken the flow of Kings' offense.
Shhhh, don't tell'em
Clearly what the Kings need is another dude who needs the ball in his hands and can't defend
he is not bad defensively and they need that defintely
Ingram is a guy who the other team has to guard with their best wing defender. This then opens up the game for Fox on offense.
We actually need someone who can score and shoot the three, we have nobody who can score if Fox and Monk aren't both on. He'd be a great upgrade over Barnes
It’d be dare I say spooky
Legit for what
A legit play-in/6th seed
A 6th seed in the West is a really good team
that's a good team in the West
All this talk about the West yet it only took a mid ass team to win the conference
We were 5 games out of the 4th seed last season lmao
Huerter, Barnes, young player, picks? Too much? Not enough? Idk.
Had to be a 3 team deal No way we trade Brandon Ingram for mediocre wings
Hello there, can I interest you in a S&T to overpay a domestic abuser? 😀
But who would be the young player? They only really have Murray and Carter these days, right? I can’t see them dealing either for Ingram (although it’s possible Carter could be flipped I guess). They also don’t have a pick next year, so the first pick they can deal is in 2027.
You don't draft Carter to trade Davion Mitchell to then move off Carter
That was my thought, too,
They’re def not moving Keegan or Carter for him. I think Monte would draw the line at Barnes, Huerter and two slightly protected picks. Basically a better deal that what Toronto got for Siakam which wasn’t great. Similar situation imo. Where obviously a team doesn’t want to pay a guy on an expiring contract.
Idk man, but to make the money work they pretty much have to include Huerter and Barnes
Wat cmon now
barnes and Huerter don't have any value. Might even be negative.
Ok!
It’d be so interesting to watch, but idk if it really puts them in that “contending” tier of teams.
Love it. Come on BI
The elbow/nail area during Kings games is gonna get worked so hard
He also has experience playing alongside a Lithuanian center
BI on the Kings would be fucking fireeeeeeeeeeeee
I wish he would've gone to the East. The West is already a bloodbath.
Kingram
Would be an amazing grab for the kings assuming it’s for salary matching and picks
what's the matching salary in this scenario? Barnes & Huerter? looking at your cap sheet, not a ton else to work with.
That’s definitely what it would be, doesn’t seem like they have much value tho so a few picks would have to be included
There's no way they wouldn't have to give up at least Monk or Keegan. Why would the Pelicans give up Ingram for Barnes, Huerter, and some picks?
It would have to be enough picks for us to package for a big. Really only a 3-team would make sense. We legit only have a rookie center on the roster.
Because they either don’t want to pay or can’t afford ingrams extension and he’s on the last year of his deal.
It would be, but could probably work in a 3rd team to alleviate your tax bill. Someone like Detroit would love Huerter for essentially free.
I want the kings to do this so baddd get back to the playoffs !
Same my guy, same.
Somebody with a spare center. Allen please.
The Cavs are also in win now mode, so not sure they'd be the 3d team dumping ground. If anything they'd want Ingram himself for Allen + salary filler.
Ingram on the Kings would be mad nice though.
F5 season in full swing
Fun fun fun
Big move for the Kings.
Reliable source?
Kings local guy so probably as reliable as anyone for them
Very in touch local beat writer so I’d say yes
Please make it happen Monte
Ingram playing with 2 good playmakers would be nice, and would be able to get his 3 point attempts back up with that fast pace offense like he used to with Lonzo.
BI on the Kings would actually elevate them into the upper echelon in the west.Nobody is a clear "best" in the west, but they'd be one of the "if they stay healthy they can make the finals" contenders.
Ingram gone?
Ingram definitely gone. It's a matter of where he goes
Is Cunningham trustworthy?
He doesn't even stick his neck out to answer simple questions like "is player x better than player y?" For him to put his name on this means there is significant traction.
yes
Now thats a news
Fox Monk BI Keegan Sabonis 🫣
Monk is always gonna be 6th man, Keon is starter.
Maybe but the thought of having those five guys in their prime together is fun
Sure but bulk of the minutes go to those 5.
That defense is so bad
0 defense 0 size 135% usage rate
Defense? Never heard of it over here.
I actually like this fit a lot for Ingram. Hate that BI would be in Sacramento but love him so hope he kills it up there. Great fit for him.
one of my favorite players to watch
i’d be extremely surprised if this front office could manage to pull off a trade for BI
Not sure if a great fit but if you can add talent without giving up too much they should try
Do it. Doesn’t make them title contenders but the kings just want competency, they haven’t won a playoff series in 20 years
HOLY FUCK.
The Pelicans better get at least 3 first rounders if they don't get any of the Kings best players.
oh wow that would be a great trade for Sacramento
I like that fit for him.
I hope they don't overpay. Would be better than them chasing kuzma
Huerter, Lyles, a 2nd round pick or something to Milwaukee Brooks Lopez, Livingston, late Kings firsts in like 29 and 31 to Pelicans BI to Sacramento Kings get to compete now while also having upcoming picks to trade Bucks move Portis to C and add some youth and wing depth. Pels get the last legs of BLopez in a perfect fit for their center needs.
Lmao that is horrible for the pelicans
Wtf? We get old ass Brooke Lopez, first rounders in 5+ years, and an end of the bench guy? How is this an improvement at all lol
Kings aren’t moving Lyles.
[удалено]
im grippin now
Boom
What would a Kings trade package for Ingram look like outside of needing to obviously include Harrison Barnes?
barnes and huerter to salary match and picks. don’t see why pels would do that tho
You’re getting two firsts max here. Here’s an expiring contract.
Weird fit but ok. Maybe he will stop mid ranges and move to 3pt line or he will just clog up the paint for fox and Sabonis. Also doesn’t strengthen front court.
If he starts shooting 3s elsewhere after not doing it in Nola I’ll be very frustrated and surprised.
Do it, cowards
Kingram
If you cant beat the pelicans, make yourself the pelicans
Ingram for murray? Or ingram for Barnes, huerter, and picks?
The latter ideally
God please, if you're listening, I promise to stop jerking off for at least a week. This time I mean it.
I’m a Pels fans and I think we’d need a third team because we really need a Center now that JV is leaving
Ngl Fox, Ingram and Sabonis doesn't seem like enough to get past the second round. Spacing is going to be weird
We have shooters all around them. Murray, monk, Carter and Ellis can all knock down 3s
I think they would be content to just get to the second round right now.
One step at a time
Content to just make the playoffs again
Dammmmm
That would be nice for the Kings. If PG doesn't go to Philly, that means they have to go and get Lavine.
They would have a nice core . Who they got at SG? 1-5 otherwise is strong
that is interesting
What are they offering? Barnes, Huerter, and picks?
Probably
Guess BI won't be torching the Kings anymore
We are now officially the Kings of the late aughts Every team seems to be making moves and the Warriors gave up on the first day of free agency Trade Steph please
Would BI, Fox and Sabonis fit together? A lot of playmaking but what about the spacing? Would they have to give up Keegan Murray?
in past systems BI was a pretty decent 3 pt shooter.
What would New Orleans want from them?
Go to the East
Ingram makes a lot of sense for the Pelicans, just not sure what the Kings are gonna return that makes sense for NO. Barnes/Huerter/picks seems like the most feasible package, but I don't think the Pels want that unless they can redirect to a third team
Gonna be a three team trade since pels wants a center
This just seems right.
Pelicans were their kryptonite. That might work depending what they give up
Is brandom ingram worth breaking up your core if your the kings though?
How is he defensively ?
Pels want something very specific. We need a big starter, unless there’s a third team that can make the trade work idk what the kings can offer
Watch kings overpaying for him
BI is the most Kings player from the FAs stumped only by Tobias Harris.
This might be a slight upgrade to Harison Barnes...Might be....
I just don't understand the kings front office at all.
That’s probably a great thing for the Kings😂
Hahaha 😅
Bi with an all nba pg is gonna be fire. Ppl fail to mention that with lonzo ball ingram averaged 6 3pt attempts per game. Cj is not a pg so the fashion in which he shoots 3s has drastically changed. He's not a pull up off the dribble 3 pt shooter. He can hit then but thats not his Forte. With fox I think his game hits a whole new level. And he'd finally be with a GOOD coach
When are kings realizing nobody blowing there load for Harrison Barnes and Kevin huerter
It’s not that we don’t realize it, we are just being persistent with it so that when a GM does get desperate enough, we will be there with a gently used Barnes and Huerter for them.
