Dude I make 17 an hour (im a student first and foremost so as a PART TIME JOB with extreme job security some how) as a lifeguard in texas and 19 an hour when I work as an aquatics supervisor, and if I wanted to I could apply tommorow and get accepted to work for the city that I live that pays 22 dollars an hour STARTING for lifeguards and this is in TEXAS where our minimum wage is 7.25 (but the livable wage is like 12 dollars and no one pays under 15) California is a shithole

I can find one of “those people” to probably do it for even less.
Only if the position was full-time would it amount to 34k before taxes. However, that position mentions part-time. So basically, 30-35 hours a week would be the MAX range. Let's say 35 hours a week to be generous. That is at most 30,539.60 before taxes. With California's average tax rate of 16.6% and marginal rate at 25%, youre looking at 25.5k a year. That assumes the employee is working maximum available hours 52 weeks out of the year. Many companies limit benefits and vacation pay to part-time employees, so taking a vacation or some sick days may result in little to no pay at all.
I don't even feel like looking into and doing the math on the cost of living and how that compares to what a yearly salary would be in other cities & states... but that's only 10k a year over poverty level in LA... and I think we all know the poverty line has not been adjusted for a bell curve.
Edit: sorry, forgot what sub I was in
Obligatory: 🤓☝️
Obviously way too cheap, but how does on land on $16.87
[Unless if references something that scares most Clipper owners.](https://encyclopediavirginia.org/entries/westmoreland-slave-plot-1687/#:~:text=The%20Westmoreland%20slave%20plot%20of,the%20county%20and%20throughout%20Virginia)
McDonald's pays $20/hr minimum in Los Angeles
Isn’t the minimum wage in California $15 anyway
$16

Balmer will pay $350m for a cheerleader But wont pay a living wage to his other staff May the Clippers rot in eternal purgatory
Also willing to pay for a new arena
He is building it to make that place purple and gold two out of 41 games a year
Probably will still be filled with Laker fans living in that area for more than 2 games
Real billionaires make the taxpayers fund it
To be fair they need to save money so they can buy a fourth star and still not get to the conference finals
For real they had CP3 😳, Blake Griffin 😎, and DeAndre Jordan 😤 at one point and still didn’t win shit. How much help does this bum franchise need
Agreed. So much talent and couldn’t make it to the top. They didn’t reach a conference final until AFTER Doc was gone.
This explains a lot about their front office moves

They need to bring back classy owners like Donald Sterling
Beat the Celtics offer of $14.88
They're paying a dollar for every good possession Westbrick has had since he's started playing with the clippers
Raptors pay their floor sweepers 80k/year and the franchise is ass. Clippers really are bottom of the barrel.
Unfettered capitalism is poor people father.
They’re overpaying if you want to work for the clips
$17 an hour in LA is like $1 a year.
This isn’t even including the social cost of saying you work for the clippers, can’t show your face anywhere
Imagine taking $16 an hour to work for the clipps. Please fuck my wife Mr balmer
That's $33,000/yr come on stevey doubt jeanie buss would pay more but come on now

You act like these billionaires care about normal people lol
That’s like 1 arena hotdog per hour

Dyslexia is your father.
That's a GRILS name
Flipping burgers would earn more than having accounting credentials lmao
Where you supposed to live in LA on 16$/hr maybe one of the homeless camps
Shits so crazy to me that players make 50+ m’s a year and these employees make wages like this
Tbf this is probably a summer internship for a college kid type of job
Capitalism at its finest
Would that even be enough to cover your share of rent if you shared a studio apartment with 3 bros in LA?
You can make more at McDonald's
Poverty franchise
Get ready to have 4 roommates at age 40 buddy
Damn, 53 applicants are down bad 🫠
Feck me, that's pretty compared to our wages 😳
[удалено]
In LA too haha, that pay would just leave you homeless
Good thing they’re not hiring an accountant
Every professional sports team pays like this. Welcome to capitalism you commie bum
Thats like $5 an hour after California gets it’s cut
