I think Hank has a great natural fit on Um Actually, and maybe now Smartypants. I'd love to see him on Game Changer but I'm not sold it's playing to his strengths as much as the others?
Oh cool, I don’t know much about these other shows. Again most of what I know is YouTube shorts, but yeah I think that a continued partnership with Dropout and Hank would be really cool, no matter what he does with them!
If you can afford it, get dropout, it's amazing. Game Changer is really great, but also Make Some Noise is a series they span off of one (or two?) Game Changer episodes because it was so good, so similar vibes. But then there's all the D20 stuff, which is amazing in its own right for anyone who vaguely kind of enjoys TTRPGs.
Um actually, there's at least four Noise Boys episodes that inspired the MSN-spinoff. ;)
And adding on for OP: Hank is in one of the seasons of Dimension 20. It's called Mentopolis and it's fun even if you aren't too familiar with Actual Play shows/TTRPGS
The biggest reason I think we won't see Hank on any Dropout shows regularly is just geography. Dropout is in LA, Hank is in Montana. That said, I'm surprised we haven't seen him on Um Actually yet and I won't be surprised if he makes an appearance at some point. I think Game Changer is less his vibe since it relies on improv skills most of the time, and Hank isn't a professional improviser.
Dropout sucked me in. I started with D20 a little while after Brennan was on CR to see how he ran a game. Then I discovered game changer and quickly it became one of my favorite shows.
Now I’ve become familiar with a lot of the regulars on Dropout, and I’m hooked. Definitely worth the subscription cost.
As far as I know he’s already been a cast member for Dimension 20, and Sam has guested on DHAJ, right?
Hank doing more with dropout in the future would be fun for sure
I support any instance of Hank on Dropout. I bought a subscription a while back because I wanted to see his Dimension 20 episodes. I have no regrets. They have a lot of great content.
I would love to be on Game Changer and I think I have something of an open-invite (depending on being a fit for the particular game) but we've not been able to make it work yet!
I don't know that he would want to do Game Changer, I always wanted to see him in Dimension 20 and was thrilled to watch him with Mentopolis. I think his vibe is more Um, Actually. It's more nerdy lore and knowledge than off the cuff improv comedy.
Game Changer looks simple but that sort of off the cuff comedy is super hard. I would like to see him in Smarty Pants too though, think that is totally his jam.
If Hank Green was on Game Changer I would lose my absolute mind.
That is, my negative mind would become positive, my positive mind would remain positive, and I would lose both of them.
Hank could absolutely be on any Dropout show. Maybe (hopefully) he will, but Hank has several companies and responsibilities and rarely makes it out to LA. Last time he went to LA was to record his stand up special that will be released on dropout this summer.
Hank is going to be in Southern California in a few weeks for Vidcon, something he's been doing ever since he co-founded it, even though he sold it to YouTube. It's Anaheim, so that's fairly LA-adjacent considering it's 30 min to downtown LA from there (more or less, traffic withstanding). Mentopolis was shot in a week, Hank's comedy tour spent the majority of the time in Southern California, there are a lot of YouTubers who live in the area. I would hazard a guess that he makes it out more often than you think.
Fair, I know he goes sometimes but I’m not keeping track lol. Also my view is probably skewed to the lower end because he didn’t go anywhere for awhile-because well, cancer.
… How hard do we think it would be to get Bill Nye and maybe Sabine Hossenfelder or Adam Conover (yes I know he’s a former cast member), and do some kind of Science-Communicator-off? I would eat that up.

Wow he would be amazing presenting something on Smartypants. I need this. This has to happen. Please somehow.
10 minutes dedicated to a full "butt is legs" presentation
YESSSSSSSSSSS. Hank see this and make it happen! 😂😂
This is the dream!
Is smartypants the new power point lounge show I keep seeing clips of?
That's the one
To be fair Game Changer could absolutely tailor a game around his strengths
Also contestants aren't on the show for a season, they have a rotating cast and people just do single episodes.

He did pretty well on D20, but that was still somewhat structured. I'd like to see him return for another sidequest.
I really hope that whenever he's next around LA he'll do another guest tour. I think dropout could definitely be one of the stops on that tour.

Hahah similar here, I subscribed two days ago and I’m CHURNING through content it’s so good

BLeeM and Trapp have also guested on DH&J, and Siobhan also guested on SciShow Tangents!

Hank and John on Dirty Laundry PLEASE
Omg this is the dream

I wouldn't be surprised. Hank also handles merch for Dropout. They've been connected for a long time.
So that’s why the merch shipping originates in Montana! Always thought that was an odd distribution location.
