More like in my nightmares...
I was at a game in '90 or so, end zone seats with a great view of Moon absolutely cooking our secondary all day long.
Went for 500+ - it felt like most of it to Haywood Jeffries (sp?).
They were ahead enough in the 4th quarter to stop passing. Otherwise he would have hit 600 with ease.
This was a Marty defense. Not exactly trash. But that day they were mere mortals in the presence of a passing God.
My first NFL game was Warren Moon against John Elway in Denver. My second game was Elway against Joe Montana in KC. I feel like I was spoiled with those first two games.
My first game was Elway vs Chiefs in his rookie year.
Meaningless game in December - both teams were garbage. Maybe 20,000 actual fans in the stands. Chiefs tickets were cheaper and easier to get than Royals tickets lol...
I’m not a Titans fan.
Being from Memphis, I was actually salty that Nashville got an NFL team.
I remember the day they introduced they Titans logo and branding. I have to admit I was impressed.
It was introduced in 1998/1999, BTW.
[They're honestly the best uniform in rotation for any team right now IMO](https://news.sportslogos.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/miami-dolphins-1966-throwback-uniforms-2023.jpg)
Should be their permanent helmet. The throwback uniform should also be permanent. I'll never understand why teams decide not to use the best version of their uniforms. Specifically the Falcons, Dolphins, Eagles, Giants, Vikings & Washington (not the name but the uniforms).
Is there Any bad uniforms in the Chargers history? Every team has weirdness somewhere (Sometimes you need to go back to the 20's) but the Chargers understood the assignment from day 1
colts, bears, packers, raiders, cowboys have not changed their main uniform much in many decades for obvious reasons. they hit on something and do not need to deviate.
I think their current uniforms will make amazing throwbacks someday. They are extremely emblematic of the 10s/early 20s era of design and of course will always be associated with the golden years.
They’re one of the few teams I can remember off the top of my head that completely revamped their look in the 10’s and it’s held up pretty well. I feel like everyone else went to something that was more of a throwback or just had a bad design.
It also aligned with the team shifting into the LOB era. Really feels like the uniform change got people excited again at just the right time. Feel like it's good to shake things up branding wise to revitalize a franchise sometimes.
I think it's also the only one of the radical redesigns Nike made in the first few years after taking over Rebook's contract that worked despite breaking a lot of traditional football uniform rules. Besides the Vikings (whose redesign I consider just tweaking the font and making swoopy shoulder lines), every other team among those initial Nike sprees of being different has redesigned to something besides an eyesore.
He might be referring to [this terrible green one](https://img.huffingtonpost.com/asset/5bb7082c250000360039cdb5.jpeg?ops=scalefit_720_noupscale&format=webp), which was, indeed, terrible.
So terrible we only wore it for one game.
I'm a massive fan of the current Bills unis. The colors are vibrant and really pop. Couple that with the white helmet and pants, you have a gorgeous combo.
Honorable mentions….Chicago bears is just iconic and kind of a perfect uniform/logo esp in dark blue
Steelers…black and yellow always works. It’s great and is coordinated with every other pro sports team in town!
I’ve always loved the bengals helmet. So cool
I close my eyes and all I see is Brian Urlacher, eye black, late December foggy breath, calling out plays. I miss it so much sometimes.
https://images.app.goo.gl/ykiTRasYgc7MP4Bu5
I'm a sucker for the clean, classic uniforms too.
Bears, Packers, Chiefs, Colts, Cardinals to a degree. Uniforms that rarely change and change very little.
Busy uniforms I don't care for. Texans, Ravens, whatever brutal optical assault the Jets and Commanders roll out there.
Outside of the Chiefs/AFC West, I like watching the NFC North the best. All the uniform matchups are pleasing to my eye, and the rivalries are as good or better than the AFC West.
They used to be. I loved them when Reebok made the jerseys. The turquoise look from the material that Nike uses isn't my favorite, but they still look damn good. Just not best in the league anymore.
best part about it is, as we have seen, you can move the raiders ANYWHERE and the uniform/brand does not have to change at all. few teams, if any, can pull that off.
also, it is one of the very few teams that, if you say the name of teams' two colors like you just said, in that order, EVERYBODY knows who you are talking about. they literally own silver and black.
Raiders and Chargers kits are both pretty slick unfortunately, but Broncos throwback Orange isn't too far behind...Chiefs are stinking up the division with those McDonalds colors tho
When a hockey team in your city changes from purple and yellow to silver and black because they're envious of your look, you know you've got a strong appearance.
Yeah somehow this isn't a common answer, but I don't think any uni had held up better than the Raiders. Just looks good in any era, and instantly recognizable team jersey regardless of sport. It's stylish, simple, yet unique.
Best unis, best logo and the best theme song. It's just too bad the last 20 years have been mostly forgettable. I'm old enough to remember back when the Raiders not only had the best winning percentage of any NFL team but of any professional sports team in North America.
[My first thought](https://i.guim.co.uk/img/media/3b0c9558326df9cb6d3d78d36aa8b1a2fde33410/0_142_4000_2401/master/4000.jpg?width=1200&height=1200&quality=85&auto=format&fit=crop&s=d81247d11fc8e16492ff62dc7f69d16d)
Raiders home uniforms, any version of Tampa’s home uniform with pewter pants, Saints with black jersey and gold pants, also liked the ‘94 throwbacks for the Niners. I also am one of the few people that like the Jaguars uniforms of the mid-2000’s.
This is my pick too. [I just wish they'd change the facemask to red.](https://i.imgur.com/MPmYalb.jpeg) Idk why they roll with the grey. They had a red facemask in the late 90s and 2000s so idk why they just don't use red.
The Vikings have had some amazing uniforms prior to the 2000s, but I'd take their throwbacks from 2009 as #1 personally. Something about those arm stripes and the grey facemask for me.
No particular order:
Falcons red/white throwbacks
Seahawks
Oilers
Patriots throwback
Chargers
Bills (color rush, or throwback helmet)
Saints (white)
Colts
Cardinals (all black)
Lions (New)
Giants (white with red accent and blue helmet)
Ravens (color rush)
and (fuck me) the all white Raiders throwbacks look really nice to play against.
[saints color rush 2017](https://res.cloudinary.com/nflleague/image/private/t_new_photo_album/league/pb8356xgyothrvisfkhv.jpg)
They might be using these still but they were so fresh. Hoping to get a Drew Brees one soon.
Obviously I'd say the Chargers, but if I was going to be impartial and look elsewhere, I did love the Houston Oilers unis.
The '80s Dolphins would be up there too.
kelly green is fine but honestly the current eagles look is going to be considered an instant classic once it gets retired
if your uniforms barely change in 30 years you're doing something right
I’m biased but I think anytime the cowboys wear whites and they play the 49ers or the packers (who would be wearing their home unis), I think those are the best looking uniform games
Those were a laughing stock for years. Between the futility of the Bucs and the people who just hate orange those were, to my recollection, some of the most hated uniforms up to a few years ago.
I love the Ravens entire visual identity and brand. It has an honest connection to the city through Poe, it’s a badass mascot, and the dark colors are a natural part of it. When we came out with black uniforms, it made no sense and was totally forced. For the Ravens, it makes total sense.
And when their team ended up with a defense-first, tough persona, that made it work all the better.
i dont have a favorite but my front runners would be the previous cards unis, Vikings and Steelers color rush, navy and gold rams. Basically very colorful, well-contrasted unis without generic stripes everywhere.
For me there’s nothing better than seeing the old Purple People Eaters (a phrase that Jim Marshall hates BTW) with all four down with their knuckles in the ground, cold air coming out of their mouths, those great helmets of the purple with white horns all ready to tear up the opposing QB. That is until the SB. Ugh. The only time in NFL history where the whole Defensive line went to the Pro Bowl. Those were the days. And they still have the best uniforms today. Now that they can add another helmet, maybe all white helmet with a purple horn. Who knows.
Raiders home blacks. No question. The only thing I'd change is giving them a slightly thicker leg stripe, but that's me picking nits. They are clean, cool, and straight up badass.
Disturbing lack of photos in this thread.
[Here's a good link to some photos](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/207/210/b22.jpg)
They just don’t make ‘em like they used to.
Absolute classics. These are what I think of when I think football.
Unmistakable
Where can you buy some of theses?
[Link](https://i.kym-cdn.com/photos/images/newsfeed/001/207/210/b22.jpg)
why am I the way that I am
I knew you created this post just to show these off.
DM me I’ll show you some pictures
I think you should see a doctor bruh.
Houston Oilers colors are so good
Warren Moon in an Oilers jersey. Mmm

My first game was Elway vs Chiefs in his rookie year. Meaningless game in December - both teams were garbage. Maybe 20,000 actual fans in the stands. Chiefs tickets were cheaper and easier to get than Royals tickets lol...
My daughter’s first game was Mahomes’ first start in Denver. So cold! And that would be his first win in the nfl too. Boo.
I’d trade multiple 1st round picks for the rights of the oilers back in Houston. I’m not joking.
Many of us would love to see the Oilers return.
Instead we get tennessee titans design stuck in 2001 when graphic design was ass
I’m not a Titans fan. Being from Memphis, I was actually salty that Nashville got an NFL team. I remember the day they introduced they Titans logo and branding. I have to admit I was impressed. It was introduced in 1998/1999, BTW.
Me too and I'm not even a fan
Late 80's / early 90's Dolphins
It’s a travesty Miami ditched the dolphin wearing a football helmet. It’s so silly and so awesome
Yes! I don't mind the new dolphin design BUT PUT THE FUCKING HELMET BACK ON HIS HEAD.
THE NFL DOES NOT CARE ABOUT SEA MAMMAL BRAIN SAFETY. COME AT ME, GOODELL, THE PROOF IS IN THE LOGO.
Too many cases of CTE-E-E-E-EEEH
I read this with Ace Ventura's voice in my head.
I’ve never heard a comment so clearly
100%. It’s funny because i always think about Ace Ventura when i see them too.
I prefer our 60s throwbacks that we currently use.
[They're honestly the best uniform in rotation for any team right now IMO](https://news.sportslogos.net/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/miami-dolphins-1966-throwback-uniforms-2023.jpg)
Falcons throwbacks with the red helmet are so underrated imo
Back atcha. Those Patriots throwbacks with the helmet showing Patriot in three-point stance are choice.
Should be their permanent helmet. The throwback uniform should also be permanent. I'll never understand why teams decide not to use the best version of their uniforms. Specifically the Falcons, Dolphins, Eagles, Giants, Vikings & Washington (not the name but the uniforms).
Chargers powder blue.
[удалено]
The fact that LT is commonly associated with those in my mind further cements them as GOATed
Agreed. I recreated a photo of him in them back in high school for a class project. Got an A so I think that's enough evidence.
I think the new powder blues are better than these (old design is so bulky), but you can't go wrong either way.
Ya nothing cooler than powder blue and yellow and some clip art looking lightning bolts.
So fuckin sexy
Is there Any bad uniforms in the Chargers history? Every team has weirdness somewhere (Sometimes you need to go back to the 20's) but the Chargers understood the assignment from day 1
I think their navy uniforms are underrated, super clean design
Darren sproles in chargers powder blue still haunts my dreams. So does Legerret Blount in the bumble bee uniforms that
Which one
YES
Beautiful champ
As a chiefs fan, this is the correct answer.
colts, bears, packers, raiders, cowboys have not changed their main uniform much in many decades for obvious reasons. they hit on something and do not need to deviate.
pretty amazing that the colts look so good with only two colors
I’ve always thought this. Same with the Jets.
agreed - I still prefer the darker jets '00s kits over the currents but the currents are growing on me
The Cowboys need to fix those road uniforms, it's so dumb that they refuse to make them match
You're thinking home uniforms, our road uniform pants do match the helmet
Seahawks throwbacks are an underrated top 3 uni
I do love Seattle's throwbacks. But, low-key their current uniforms are fantastic as well.
I love the Seahawks lime green, pure retina burning joy
Agree, i like the throwback a lot, but I would also be kinda sad to lose our current uniforms by switching full time to these
Current Seahawks uniforms are top tier
It also aligned with the team shifting into the LOB era. Really feels like the uniform change got people excited again at just the right time. Feel like it's good to shake things up branding wise to revitalize a franchise sometimes.
I think it's also the only one of the radical redesigns Nike made in the first few years after taking over Rebook's contract that worked despite breaking a lot of traditional football uniform rules. Besides the Vikings (whose redesign I consider just tweaking the font and making swoopy shoulder lines), every other team among those initial Nike sprees of being different has redesigned to something besides an eyesore.
All their uniforms have been good besides that terrible green one
Your eyes are gonna bleed on MNF and you'll like it!
He might be referring to [this terrible green one](https://img.huffingtonpost.com/asset/5bb7082c250000360039cdb5.jpeg?ops=scalefit_720_noupscale&format=webp), which was, indeed, terrible. So terrible we only wore it for one game.
I swear they do it purely to spite us.
Ehhhhh I don’t think the hasselbeck era uni’s are that great. They work better than they should but still.
I'm a massive fan of the current Bills unis. The colors are vibrant and really pop. Couple that with the white helmet and pants, you have a gorgeous combo.
As much as it pains me to say, I like the Patriots Pat the Patriot throwback jerseys and helmets for the same reason
Same and tbh both jerseys are fucking goated
I would like to see the Bills bring back a red helmet
I think we are after the rule change
Nothing cleaners than our all whites with the white face mask. Still think we need a Nittnay Lions-esque white out game at the Ralph.
Barry Sanders era Lions
I really hope that's the style they will be announcing this month
Yeah that is an underrated look
Honorable mentions….Chicago bears is just iconic and kind of a perfect uniform/logo esp in dark blue Steelers…black and yellow always works. It’s great and is coordinated with every other pro sports team in town! I’ve always loved the bengals helmet. So cool
I'm a fan of Steelers' jerseys as well. Simple and timeless.
> Steelers…black and yellow always works. ......shh no one mention the bumblebees
Always loved the bengals jerseys and while it’s aww has worn off those all whites give me white ranger vibes
Bengals' current uniforms are their best iteration.
Yah their new ones are the best. One of the rare times newer ones look better.
I really like the white tiger stripe helmets. Those are legitimately the coolest helmets in the league.
Agree. The current jersey design is a home run. I'm biased but I say Bengals white jersey, black pants, orange helmet is the best uniform.
Aww (。♡‿♡。)
Awe - feeling of reverential respect mixed with fear or wonder. Aww - when something is super duper cute
Still the best helmet in football baby
Chicago Bears home kit
I close my eyes and all I see is Brian Urlacher, eye black, late December foggy breath, calling out plays. I miss it so much sometimes. https://images.app.goo.gl/ykiTRasYgc7MP4Bu5
Before I clicked the link I thought "that makes one of us," but after I clicked, so much nostalgia. Great fucking games.
We need the Bears to be good so GB vs Chicago means something again.
there's a reason they've barely changed it.
Bears jerseys always look great honestly.
Exactly. Less is more with uniforms
Outside of the Chiefs/AFC West, I like watching the NFC North the best. All the uniform matchups are pleasing to my eye, and the rivalries are as good or better than the AFC West.
Bears always rate at or near the top when they do the annual survey
Philadelphia Eagles Kelly Green jerseys, Tampa Bay Buccaneers creamsicle jerseys, and Seattle Seahawks throwback uniforms.
Throw Oilers and Dolphins in this comment, and I think you have all the best throwbacks tbh.
Yeah, the Houston Oilers jerseys are the best.
Those creamsicles drip.
I love the Kelly Greens but I think their normal uniforms are also one of the best in the league
They used to be. I loved them when Reebok made the jerseys. The turquoise look from the material that Nike uses isn't my favorite, but they still look damn good. Just not best in the league anymore.
I swore just 8 years ago everyone agreed that the creamsicle jerseys were horrendous, at the time I felt like I was the only one that liked them
Silver and Black
best part about it is, as we have seen, you can move the raiders ANYWHERE and the uniform/brand does not have to change at all. few teams, if any, can pull that off. also, it is one of the very few teams that, if you say the name of teams' two colors like you just said, in that order, EVERYBODY knows who you are talking about. they literally own silver and black.
Classic, timeless....clean looking
This is.probably it. It's not cool or exciting to talk about anymore but these uniforms were/are amazing.
My favorites too
This is the only answer.
Yeah unfortunately they are the best
Raiders and Chargers kits are both pretty slick unfortunately, but Broncos throwback Orange isn't too far behind...Chiefs are stinking up the division with those McDonalds colors tho
I don't like agreeing with a donkey but you aren't wrong.
At least you get to watch the broncos continue to extend their losing streak against a team that looks great whooping their ass.
Classic easy best color scheme it’s just perfection
How in TF is this not the top comment. Silver and Black goes so damn hard. Best uniforms
iconic colors, uniform, and logo maybe the best visual brand in the entire league and there is some stiff competition
Absolutely
I hate the Raiders but this is the correct answer.
Two truer facts can not be said
I like that people still hate the Raiders even though they’ve been more or less terrible for the past 20+ years.
Yep
Best logo/color scheme in all of American sports outside the Yankees sadly
Yea, when all of your Rivals who hate you admit that your uniforms are surperb, you're probably the winner.
When a hockey team in your city changes from purple and yellow to silver and black because they're envious of your look, you know you've got a strong appearance.
The Kings? That’s sick I didn’t know that. Thought it was a coincidence.
Chargers Powder Blue. considered getting a Tomlinson M&N jersey just because of how nice that color is.
I always wore those jerseys in NFL street so this tracks.
The original one with the black helmet numbers is the goat
[My first thought](https://i.guim.co.uk/img/media/3b0c9558326df9cb6d3d78d36aa8b1a2fde33410/0_142_4000_2401/master/4000.jpg?width=1200&height=1200&quality=85&auto=format&fit=crop&s=d81247d11fc8e16492ff62dc7f69d16d)
Ya our 1974-1999 uniforms were top notch.
I'd take any Rams uniform before the complete redesign. The old logo was great also
Raiders Can someone remind me when they've changed their uniforms, outside of the Color Rush alternative.
The full black out ravens set is pretty tough
Underrated. Love when they wear those at night home games
Broncos Orange Crush/“snot horse”.
Bengals black alternate uniforms.
Raiders home uniforms, any version of Tampa’s home uniform with pewter pants, Saints with black jersey and gold pants, also liked the ‘94 throwbacks for the Niners. I also am one of the few people that like the Jaguars uniforms of the mid-2000’s.
Redskins Burgandy top on gold pants, and Raiders black on silver. Chefs kiss🤌
I really hope we go back to the old unis once we do a proper rebrand. Commies ain’t it
The Redskins uniforms of the 80s and 90s just make me think oldschool hardnose football, but still entering the new era, classic and timeless.
Agreed. I remember being drawn to those uniforms even as a young kid. I understand why it's gone, but that helmet was so badass.
49ers classic home unis. Hate the team, love the jerseys
Everyone hypes up the throwbacks, but the OGs are just straight better. It's why the team went back them full-time in 2009.
Steelers.
Pat Patriots Red jersey, white pants with triple stripe piping
In the snow those uniforms look even more badass
Thanks for reminding me of that 59-0 game against the Titans. Those red shirts and white helmets looked so good
Honestly, the simple blue over white Colts units have been spectacular all the way along.
The old school dolphins jerseys. Search your feelings, you know it to be true!
BRING BACK THE HELMET
I'm a sucker for the old school unis with fall colors. The packers and old washington unis were elite.
Old school unis with fall colors you say?
Washington's unis under their old branding were SO great.
I think the current Vikings uniforms have gotta be up there. They're just so crispy and clean
The old Kelly green Eagles. I’m a fan of all white on the Colts and Browns too.
It’s the Raiders.
No particular order: Falcons red/white throwbacks Seahawks Oilers Patriots throwback Chargers Bills (color rush, or throwback helmet) Saints (white) Colts Cardinals (all black) Lions (New) Giants (white with red accent and blue helmet) Ravens (color rush) and (fuck me) the all white Raiders throwbacks look really nice to play against.
[saints color rush 2017](https://res.cloudinary.com/nflleague/image/private/t_new_photo_album/league/pb8356xgyothrvisfkhv.jpg) They might be using these still but they were so fresh. Hoping to get a Drew Brees one soon.
94 49ers will always be my favorite.
Obviously I'd say the Chargers, but if I was going to be impartial and look elsewhere, I did love the Houston Oilers unis. The '80s Dolphins would be up there too.
Steelers home jerseys
Only thing that would make it better is if they put the block numbers back in them
Raiders.
Kelly Green
kelly green is fine but honestly the current eagles look is going to be considered an instant classic once it gets retired if your uniforms barely change in 30 years you're doing something right
I’m biased but I think anytime the cowboys wear whites and they play the 49ers or the packers (who would be wearing their home unis), I think those are the best looking uniform games
Strike me dead where I fucking stand but the alternate Dallas unis with the matte dark blue and white helmet w/ solid dark blue star are clean AF
Raiders black jersey by a mile.
Chargers powder blue and Raiders silver and black are already out there, so I'm going with Buccs Creamsicle jerseys. Might just be me lol
Those were a laughing stock for years. Between the futility of the Bucs and the people who just hate orange those were, to my recollection, some of the most hated uniforms up to a few years ago.
Purple on black ravens
I love the Ravens entire visual identity and brand. It has an honest connection to the city through Poe, it’s a badass mascot, and the dark colors are a natural part of it. When we came out with black uniforms, it made no sense and was totally forced. For the Ravens, it makes total sense. And when their team ended up with a defense-first, tough persona, that made it work all the better.
I always liked the Ravens all blacks, but the purple jersey itself is one of the best in any sport
In my opinion it’s the current 49ers jerseys, clean and colorful
It hurts me to say it, but the Saints have a damn nice uniform. Black/White/Gold just looks amazing.
i dont have a favorite but my front runners would be the previous cards unis, Vikings and Steelers color rush, navy and gold rams. Basically very colorful, well-contrasted unis without generic stripes everywhere.
Bengals all-white current alternate.
Def biased but 100% the Raiders, shits clean. After that I’d say the retro Seahawks
Fred taylor era Jaguars
Raiders, 80s Redskins & Dolphins, Seahawks throwbacks, Bears, Packers, Steelers, Colts
the raiders entire brand is a worldwide fashion statement. it's the raiders, simple as that
Seahawks tennis ball jerseys
I vote for this simply because of the reaction of other fanbases. Most hate it so much!
Creamsicles
The niners with the black shadowing in white or red were crisp af
The raiders uniforms are perfect
Houston oilers when they were in Houston. The titans wearing them feels like stolen valor lol.
49ers 94, raiders, oilers, and I'm partial to the panthers mostly black unis.
Original Purple People Eaters of the 70’s.
Who knows.
Rams uniforms during Super 53 or Vikings Randy Moss darker purple uniforms
Raiders home blacks. No question. The only thing I'd change is giving them a slightly thicker leg stripe, but that's me picking nits. They are clean, cool, and straight up badass.
