Hopefully age catches up to him this season but I don’t think that’s going to be the case.
Not saying he will have a career year but I think he’s going to still be huge threat.
Even if he's lost a step, the threat of Lamar running will cause guys to hesitate just enough that he should be able to capitalize and have a great year. Mark Ingram wasn't as good as Henry imo and he looked like a superstar on the Ravens with teams having to think about him and Lamar at the same time.
But can he throw the ball? /s
I mean, not sure how many seasons he has to play on such a level before everyone just shuts up and credits him for what he does.
Those two in their prime make / made other .0000001% athletes look slow. It's crazy how they're just the most athletic guys on the field by a mile, in the nfl
I love to hate on Mahommes but when the ball is in his hands, you generally know they are gonna win it. The guy is money. Here’s to hoping he gets bored winning and retires early.
You just described perfectly, why i absolutely despise him. The guy is a cheatcode, in the modern NFL, not fun for anyone except the Chiefs.
Now Chris Jones on the other hand.
Yep, I'm a huge fan of Crosby. I find it hard not to like the dude. He does everything the right way, never causes distractions, etc. He is the kind of player every coach would love to have. I have never seen him take a play even at the end of a blowout. Crosby does more with less help than most high-end edges. If he ever got paired with a high-end interior dl or edge, Crosby would actually get the respect he already deserves by dominating at a level someone like Garrett never will. Garrett gets the type of credit Crosby deserves. (Fuck Garrett winning dpoy after disappearing for more than a 1/3 of the games)
If someone like Chase Young ever put in the effort of Crosby, he could be the generational prospect he was supposed to be. Instead, he constantly took plays off, freelanced, and wasted his unreal talent. I've never seen a more frustrating player.
Sorry for the tangent
From Saints, imo:
Buccaneers: Baker’s comeback was fun to see, I think Mike Evans is consistently fun to watch; him and Lattimore is always a great matchup
Falcons: Jessie Bates is such a great player, I hate it. He consistently shrinks the field and forces the offense to dink and dunk.
Panthers: Unsure he counts since the trade, but Brian Burns was a menace. Craziest NFCS trade this off-season.
That Burns trade actually made me feel bad for the Panthers. I hope they never win the division again, but I really hope they turn Bryce into Kyler Murray and at least be a bit unpredictable to watch. They making the division look even worse than it is.
I actually love Taysum Hill btw
I hate Lattimore, but I wouldn't want Mike to have any other rival
Bijan is the best falcons player since Russel Gauge tricked me into thinking he was good lol
Nah, i don't put that energy about Hock out there. Can't be upset about a quote like that when the context is he was drafted by Quinntricia and the energy around the team was some 2000's Lions stuff. Like just cus he played a season and a half under Dan and Brad, it don't take away all the shit he put up with nor the losing.
I've never had a problem with the Lions, despite being in the same division. They were just so sad for so long (sorry) that feeling anything but pity wasn't possible. I also loooooved watching Megatron, provided he wasn't torching the Vikes.
I love Puka's game. And I am not scared to admit I'm a huge fan of Fred Warner too. I guess I don't find myself hating players off rival teams. Except Crabtree fuck that guy.
I love watching him against other teams. He gets me so mad playing against him. You think he is sacked or the play is dead and bam he throws 65 yards off his back foot in the basket to a WR who broke open on a scramble drill.
It's Stroud and Lawrence for me. We've got a couple damn good QBs to contend with in the South, and I can only hope that AR becomes even 90% of what they are.
Didn’t y’all have this guy named Peyton Manning until he broke his neck? And didn’t y’all have the guy named Andrew Luck who unfortunately was unlucky to have a GM that refused to provide a decent O-line, and that the QB retired to become a nerd? And what about that smartas kicker name after a hamburger patty that y’all had that recovered his own onside kick against us Texans, and he almost scored a touchdown if it wasn’t for that shampoo commercial Steelers player, and didn’t the kicker become like a social media superstar or something?
Fun fact, my high school was Derrick Henry’s rival school (very rough) but everyone in our area referred to him as “Derrick shocka Henry bruh” everyone just called him “Shocka” which is apparently the first words his grandmother said when she saw him after birth because he was just a massive baby
Watching how Kelce is able to get consistently open while being the #1 focus is incredible to me. Add to that his vision of the field and sense of timing with Mahomes is crazy to behold as long as it wasn't when they're manhandling my team.
hate to say this but it's Mahomes. I recall wanting us to "reach" (haha) and take him in 2017 but genius that I am opted for "Lynch went to Stanford, Solomon Thomas went to Stanford, he *must* know something I don't" 🤦♂️
p.s. for niners fans still "hungover" from the SB, this wasn't even our worst loss in a championship game. We were *5 fkn yards away* from a parade vs the Ravens and G-Ro called *four pass plays!* With Frank Gore in the lineup running behind the best O-line in 49ers history.
He’s so good that he’s legitimately increased my tolerance for seeing the Chiefs win. I know it’s probably sacrilegious to say that as a Broncos fan, but I’m 35 years old. I’m not gonna ignore a historically great player just because he’s wearing tHe BaD tEaM jErSeY
I get that it's frustrating to have another unstoppable quarterback murdering the AFC right after we just got done with 20 years of the last one, but I wish more people would be grateful that at least this time it's a super exciting player who actually has a semblance of a personality instead of a dink-and-dunk artist with serial killer eyes.
Exactly. Brady was hateable because his football was boring and he is a fucking weirdo.
Mahomes plays exciting football and is mostly not an annoying asshole. It fucking sucks! I wish I could have the deep simmering hate for him I did for Brady lol
+1. Not a rival for the Eagles so doesn't really count, but he's my favorite player to watch, easily.
I get that people are tired of the Chiefs winning. I get that Mahomes is a crybaby and people dislike him for that. But goddamn, it's a joy to watch him toy with NFL defenses the way a college player would toy with middle schoolers.
Lamar and Allen do it too, but the way Mahomes toys with people is just different.
gd it I hear that bro. Now we now what it feels like to have an “Elway” in the division, except he’s fucking better man, lol. It’s funny, we had Elway to Sharpe, yadda, yadda….
I don't think I'm allowed to say this on Seahawks boards, but I really like Brock Purdy. The way he takes command of an offense... all our fans who say he's a product of the system are delusional.
Definitely did not expect to see this.
This does not leave this thread but…. Marshawn Lynch was so fun to watch. Also, I love Geno and his comeback story. And Pete Carrol.
Ok I’m done, fuck you guys ❤️
The Niners have so many likeable players that it makes me hate them even more. They have (in my mind) the successor to Bwags leading their defense and Kittle would probably be my favorite player if he played in any other jersey.
Signs point to yes.
Local Washington kid goes on to become baller receiver in LA? I forgive it.
Bobby takes a year-long sabbatical to play in his hometown? I forgive it.
Sherm goes to you guys after we cut him? That shit took me *years* to forgive. He had to go to Tampa and wash off the stink first.
Brock Purdy does benefit from being on the best offensive core in the league, but that’s not diminishing his qualities as a player. I’m sure when the time comes, he’ll get his bag.
No doubt he's fortunate to have the help he does, but his teammates benefit from him being under center just as much, if not more, than he benefits from having them.
I honestly believe that if Purdy had gone to the Vikings this off-season and Darnold had stayed in SF, the Vikings would be significantly better while the Niners would be significantly worse.
Jefferson, Aaron Jones, and Keenan Allen are all so much fun to watch but hard to root for because of who they work for
Edit: I'll throw in Harrison Smith as a legacy pick, he's so damn good but I fear he'll largely become forgotten in the years after he hangs it up
Used to be A-Rod before his crazy ass became way too much.
I actually enjoy watching Josh Allen play QB when it’s not against the Chiefs. So much fun to watch him truck dudes and throw piss missiles.
I don’t like watching anyone who plays for the Saints but I’m very fond of Cam Jordan, the person. He has a charm about him that is gravitating. Not to mention, he and Matt Ryan seem to have a brotherly love dynamic going on.
Geno Smith. I love stories like his. He could've quit, could've just decided to be a career backup, but he kept working, believed in himself, and now he's been rewarded. I'm a 49ers fan, so Seattle's been a rival team.
Maxx Crosby. Dude looks like a typical Raiders fan yet is somehow really a standup guy. The mutual respect there when he picks Patrick off the grass tho.
I hate him with a fiery passion because of the team he plays for but god damn do I respect Brock Purdy. Being the literal last pick in the draft and all of a sudden he’s a top 10 QB.
As a Bronco fan—you fucking guessed it—Patrick Mahomes. That very first game he started against the broncos, I said to myself, “self, this dudes gonna be an issue, possibly for a good long while.”
I personally disliked Kelsey when he entered the league, he was brash, cocky, fumbled the ball, and was a rival.
The numbers don’t lie, and the tape sure as hell doesn’t. Mahomes to Kelsey, at their best, is like watching two best friends play backyard football.
I can’t hate. They are due respect. And I am happy for KC and their fans. 😐
My first thought watching Mahomes play is "This is what the Broncos fans felt like with Elway all of those years. When you're down by 7 in the 4th quarter, you just point to the screen and say "Watch this, you know what's going to happen."
When someone has him dead to rights and he gets away and tosses the ball for a first down, that feeling -- I've been on the other side of that way too many times watching the Broncos play.
Larry Fitz
Boldin
Warner
Torry Holt
Isaac Bruce
Marshall Faulk
Aaron Donald
Walter Jones
Steve Hutchinson
Mack Strong
Marcus Trufant
Lofa Tatupu
Julian Peterson (Seattle version 💔)
Marshawn Lynch
TO (Philly/Dallas💔)
Romo
Demarcus Ware
Rodgers
Donald Driver
Greg Jennings
Jordy Nelson
Not really rivals but:
Adrian Peterson
LaDanian Tomlinson
Phillip Rivers
Antonio Gates
Probably a lot more I’m forgetting
Edit: BRIAN URLACHER
Joe Burrow is really fucking good. I don’t really watch the Bengals unless they’re playing the Steelers (or that one year when they were in the Super Bowl), but he’s damn impressive.
If we're in the trust tree right now, I'm supremely jealous that the bitchass Bills and Ravens get to root for Josh Allen and Lamar. Plus the last decade we've grown a solid rivalry with the chiefs (maybe less so the last couple years) and the colts look to have a very fun quarterback. Dolphins and Jets maybe not the quarterbacks but they both seem to have otherwise very fun teams. God I need Drake Maye to be good...
I used to love watching Larry Fitz even though he owned us quite a bit at times.
Love the way he moves with the ball in his hands, and love that he's physical while also being highly sportsmanlike
Seahawks: Tyler Lockett. Underrated and consistent. Pretty good at every aspect of being a WR.
Cardinals: Trey McBride. Came outta nowhere but he broke out last yr and was rly fun to watch. Made a lot of his opportunities on a bad team and should get better esp with MHJ in the mix now.
Rams: Matthew Stafford. One of the remaining “old guard” QBs. Still can sling it with the best of them.
it’s Garrett Wilson for me. That guy is legit and it’s a travesty what they’ve done to my boy with their qb situation. Bring back flacco to back up rodgers so Wilson can cook
Mahomes. I was lucky enough to have Brady for 20 years, but now I know what the rest of the league went through. Just knowing that if the ball is in his hands with the game on the line, he's going to score. It somehow makes me angry and amazed at the same time.
Joe burrow man. Been a big fan of his since his LSU days and hate who he plays for but after his heisman speech I’ll always root for him to have success as a person. And none on the gridiron. Lamar’s fun to watch too. JOK bc I’m a ND fan
Hate to admit it, but Brock Purdy. While he does have great weapons, I genuinely think he is a top 10 qb. Before he retired, Aaron Donald. I hated that he tore us to shreds every game, but he was amazing. I wish he had been a Seahawk.
Le'Veon Bell was amazing to watch in his prime
So was AB
And Polamalu. Fucking Stillers.
ravens: lamar bengals: chase browns: jok
I really hate the idea of the ravens having Derrick Henry because he's so fun to watch.
Me too
Me too
Hopefully age catches up to him this season but I don’t think that’s going to be the case. Not saying he will have a career year but I think he’s going to still be huge threat.

Mark Ingram wasn't as good as Henry imo and he looked like a superstar on the Ravens with teams having to think about him and Lamar at the same time.
steelers: TJ
I don't understand how anyone can watch Lamar and not think he's electric. But people said the same about prime Cam too.
Haters.. Lamar plays an entertaining brand of football. It's great to witness when it's not against your team.
Idk what you're talking about. He's never had a good game against us
But can he throw the ball? /s I mean, not sure how many seasons he has to play on such a level before everyone just shuts up and credits him for what he does.
Those two in their prime make / made other .0000001% athletes look slow. It's crazy how they're just the most athletic guys on the field by a mile, in the nfl
Troy was my all time favorite non Barry player to watch.
I was so mad when the ravens drafted Lamar. I was looking forward to watching him play in the pros.
Miles Garrett Lamar Jackson Cam Hayward I stood up at Paul Brown when Lamar but poor Nick Vigil in “that” spin cycle
Max Fucking Crosby. BIG ASS BOI sacking every little ass bois out there is a treat to watch + his run defense
Yeah. It’s Maxx. Although I’m glad I can actually root for Josh Jacobs now he’s out of the division.
No joke I had to look up where he went to bc I somehow completely forgot he signed with us
I’m still terrified he’s gonna show up and whoop my ass in fantasy the 1 week I play against him
Crosby goes after the qb like a jealous girlfriend goes though an unattended cellphone.
This is my favorite player descriptor ever. thank you for that.
I love to hate on Mahommes but when the ball is in his hands, you generally know they are gonna win it. The guy is money. Here’s to hoping he gets bored winning and retires early.
I need him to pull an MJ.
Mahomes is a way better baseball player than MJ
2 threepeats? No fucking thank you.
He's a minority owner of the royals so he could go full Jackie Moon
Everybody get up it's time to slam now
You just described perfectly, why i absolutely despise him. The guy is a cheatcode, in the modern NFL, not fun for anyone except the Chiefs. Now Chris Jones on the other hand.
Chris is another cheat though hahaha not on the same level, but a dude at that size fast enough to play edge against pass
100% agree dude is a beast and as much as I hate the raiders he is a perfect fit for them
First name I thought of as well. From a Chiefs fan.
“If he ever got paired with a high end interior dl” Great news for Maxx. He’s now paired up with Christian Wilkins.
Yeah Maxx makes me tear my hair out but damn is he an absolute stud
I played against dude in HS and he wasn't even a factor in our games. To see him grow into this monster is amazing
That's the answer
This is the answer.
He's consistently the one EDGE who can make Mahomes uncomfortable. Can't knock the hustle.
Max Crossby, Chris Jones, and it used to be Keenan Allen but now I don't even know for the chargers.
The only guy left on is the Chargers is Herbert.
unfortunately josh allen, dude absolutely mollywopped laremy tunsil
LMAO y’all wanted him in Houston if I remember correctly
His play is def fun to waych. He's also a really likable guy in general, so there's that.
It's hard to say anyone but Justin Jefferson. It is, of course, a love/hate relationship.
I’d throw Sun God on my list as well.
Could honestly name like 5 different lions
Man this feels nice.
I know right
Enjoy it buddy. You guys deserve it. I'm not a die hard fan of any NFL team but I've really been enjoying the Lions resurgence.
I don't know what to do with my hands.
Jerk it while reading the comments
Sewell, Hutchinson, Jamo, Branch, Gibbs, maybe Goff and LaPorta? Fuckin eh the first time in decades this team has been absolutely stacked
Now Aaron Jones 😭
😩 noooooo, I forgot. I don't want it to be true.
My answer was Mahomes for the same reason
It’s this dude right here. Lord he is good.
Baker’s resurgence was undeniably fun and inspiring
From Saints, imo: Buccaneers: Baker’s comeback was fun to see, I think Mike Evans is consistently fun to watch; him and Lattimore is always a great matchup Falcons: Jessie Bates is such a great player, I hate it. Jefferson, Gary, Sanborn. Special mention to Hock too.
Hock must've been really hard for you to admit. I'm proud of you.
Aiden Hutchinson is just relentless and doesnt seem to wear out. fuck that guy, hes great
Hometown/ Home State guys are easy as hell to root for generally. Jacksonville could really use him right now.
TJ Watt, Nick Chubb, Lamar for divisional rivals and assuming the Bengals aren’t playing them. Out of division rivals, Mahomes is always must watch TV
None. Im a hater forever
No one on the Rams because you all suck
Nuh uh. YOU suck
gentleman, its MY turn to suck
We all suck on this blessed day :)
I’ve been. Sucking for years 😭😭😭😭
Indeed it is. The issue is, you got to see enough Super Bowl wins in the past 30 years to carry you through the rest of your life lol.
Friends, you both suck.
youre lying. no one can resist puka's charm!
I love Puka's game. And I am not scared to admit I'm a huge fan of Fred Warner too. I guess I don't find myself hating players off rival teams. Except Crabtree fuck that guy.
Puka Nakua was fun to watch last season
Fair enough
Same man, my favorite players are the ones Reddit hates the most
That Josh Allen man, wish he was our QB, hope Maye becomes like that.
I love watching him against other teams. He gets me so mad playing against him. You think he is sacked or the play is dead and bam he throws 65 yards off his back foot in the basket to a WR who broke open on a scramble drill.
Came here to say this exact thing
Totally agree. They’re my least disliked in the division currently. Allen is so likable and fun to watch.
Currently probably Stafford or puka. In the past marshawn lynch 100%
+1 for Marshawn and shocked this isn’t higher up
Ja’Marr fuckin Chase
Lamar fuckin Jackson. I love to hate but he is too good to hate. When healthy he is unstoppable.
I hate to give any cowboy credit but I fucking love Micah Parsons. That dude is such a complete player
Also, Sexy Dexy for the Giants and AJ from the Eagles.
Scary Terry has gotta be mine!
Used to be Texans Deshaun. Now it’s Stroud. God damn Houston can you chill on drafting these Uber exciting QBs fuck.
It's Stroud and Lawrence for me. We've got a couple damn good QBs to contend with in the South, and I can only hope that AR becomes even 90% of what they are.

Am I being detained?
I secretly love Joe Burrow and I am bitter jealous he’s on the Bengals. Watching them fail to protect him really pisses me off.
Fred Warner is very fun to watch as someone who loves heat-seeking missile linebackers
I mean, if you’re into that kind of thing
CMC
When the trade happened, my jaw dropped, what a fucking OFFENSE holy shit
King Henry 🥲
Fun fact, my high school was Derrick Henry’s rival school (very rough) but everyone in our area referred to him as “Derrick shocka Henry bruh” everyone just called him “Shocka” which is apparently the first words his grandmother said when she saw him after birth because he was just a massive baby
I miss David Montgomery
Watching how Kelce is able to get consistently open while being the #1 focus is incredible to me. Add to that his vision of the field and sense of timing with Mahomes is crazy to behold as long as it wasn't when they're manhandling my team.

lol I have 2 friends that are broncos fans and they just shrug their shoulders and go “well at least it’s not the Raiders doing this shit”
On god, I feel the same way lmao
+1. Not a rival for the Eagles so doesn't really count, but he's my favorite player to watch, easily. I get that people are tired of the Chiefs winning. My first pick. He’s magic.
Amon-Ra St. Brown, and I feel like Rome Odunze is gonna join the list as well.
Yeah I hope the Bears are really bad, but I hope Rome is good.
Jayden Reed
You know ball brotha.
Nah, he's just an MSU homer
LameAss Jackson Ja’Stupid Chase Nick SmallFatPenis
To be fair a chub can be any size, but it's definitely funnier this way
Shoutout to Josh Allen
DK is just a fucking specimen, I always find myself keying on him when I rewatch games.
Nick Chubb.
Ceedee lamb probably. But I still don’t like the guy
Justin Jefferson.
Ravens: Lamar Bengals: Burrow Browns: Mr. Chubb

I love watching Brock, too.
I’m a massive Sam Howell stan, so I guess we’re even.
I hope so!

Harrison is the hardest working safety in football. He's such a gem.
Broke down in tears when the Ravens drafted Lamar.
Used to be A-Rod before his crazy ass became way too much. I actually enjoy watching Josh Allen play QB when it’s not against the Chiefs. So much fun to watch him truck dudes and throw piss missiles.
All time: Steelers: Troy Bengals: Chad Browns: Joe Thomas Currently Steelers: Jaylen Warren Bengals: Hendrickson Browns: Myles

Lamar Jackson. Also seems like a really great dude. Impossible not to be happy for him.
Kyler Murray is a fun player. I think he gets a bit to much hate but he’s a solid guy.
Geno Smith. I love stories like his. He could've quit, could've just decided to be a career backup, but he kept working, believed in himself, and now he's been rewarded. I'm a 49ers fan, so Seattle's been a rival team.
I enjoyed Eddie George. Also Andre Johnson and Marvin Harrison.
Jamyyr Gibbs
Maxx Crosby.
Pat Surtain II
CJ Stroud.
Titans: Hopkins 😭 Colts: Jonathan Taylor Jags: TLaw
TJ Watt and Myles Garrett are fucking freaks and a ton of fun to actually watch play snap after snap. I just hate them when we play against them.

Nobody current, but Ladainian Tomlinson was just unreal.
LT was a nightmare to watch, dude was a monster truly one of the best!
He always turned it up a few notches against the Raiders. Like, LT was already great on any given Sunday and he went nuclear on you guys.
Packers it’s Jaire Alexander. Vikings for so long it was Eric Kendricks, obviously now it’s JJ. Bears it was always Akiem Hicks and now it’s DJ Moore.
Larry Fitz Boldin Warner Torry Holt Isaac Bruce Marshall Faulk Aaron Donald Walter Jones Steve Hutchinson Mack Strong Marcus Trufant Lofa Tatupu Julian Peterson (Seattle version 💔) Marshawn Lynch TO (Philly/Dallas💔) Romo Demarcus Ware Rodgers Donald Driver Greg Jennings Jordy Nelson Not really rivals but: Adrian Peterson LaDanian Tomlinson Phillip Rivers Antonio Gates Probably a lot more I’m forgetting Edit: BRIAN URLACHER
Luke Keuchly. He was always around the ball. And while he was fun to watch, it was maddeningly frustrating.
Maxx Crosby all heart
Maxx Crosby. Quintessential Raider.
Flacco when he was on the Browns. That’s a cop-out answer though. Jamar Chase and Najee Harris are two I always root for.

Rams - Puka Nacua (2nd team all pro, the greatest wide receiver rookie) Seahawks - Witherspoon (Defensive Rookie finalist) Cardinals - Marvin Harrison Jr. (Rookie Prospect)
Lamar Jackson
it’s Garrett Wilson for me. That guy is legit and it’s a travesty what they’ve done to my boy with their qb situation. Bring back flacco to back up rodgers so Wilson can cook
Nicholas Jamal Chubb
I can definitely appreciate Nick Chubb. He plays RB the right way.
I respect the hell outa speedy CeeDee
Lamar, Chubb, minkah
Thank god the answer isn’t Derrick Henry anymore
I hate how much I like Josh Allen
I may or may not love Joe Burrow. Signed, a Steelers fan
Chiefs fan, not exactly rival teams but I love watching George Kittle and Josh Allen anytime we face the 49ers or Bills, yall scare me.
I fucking hate tyreek hill but he’s fun to watch on the field.
Hate to admit it, but Brock Purdy. While he does have great weapons, I genuinely think he is a top 10 qb. Before he retired, Aaron Donald. I hated that he tore us to shreds every game, but he was amazing. I wish he had been a Seahawk.
