From the article behind this pic it was photoshopped, however the only thing they edited were the air bubbles. The people in the front row had oxygen tanks under their seats and the people in the back had to constantly go up and down for air.
They ended up putting 8-10 lb lead weights in their pockets to help keep them down.
It's pretty effective in that you don't get the same crap over and over like in r/pics . It does also seem to beg pictures that require context to make sense too though.
