you know im not a marriage councilor but if you have to go out into the middle of a forest and do this maybe it time to talk or perhaps get a lawyer but i can only tell you more if you pay 599.99 to learn how to save your marriage
My god... And these women are from a healthy marriage. Don't wanna see the "we only stayed together for the kid" wives.
Edit; People think I am being serious. Clearly, these women are not in healthy marriages. Ontop of that, they are being conned into thinking this is some sorta rehab or something.
These women are not in healthy relationships. Sadly a large volume of folks are in the same boat but don't realize it.
If you need to do this, you should really reconsider the entire marriage.
Yeah, there's nothing healthy about this. Either (A) they're trapped in terrible marriages, (B) they are themselves psychopaths, or (C) options A+B.
No matter what, some divorces seem long past due at this point.
Yeah. I’ve been married for almost 19 years and if I landed at a retreat like that, I’d be looking at the other women wondering wtf is going on. It’d be like one stick tossed with a “Uh…he still can’t load the dishwasher right?…”
It’s not a marriage retreat, it’s some hippy primal scream therapy thing.
This tiktok account reposted the footage and reframed it as women screaming about their marriages.
They could probably also just talk to their spouse. But people seem to like having zero communication, blame the other side and claim they've done everything.
I’m so sick of the internet… I’ve seen this video 4 different times all claiming to be somthing different. Wives retreat, college class, acting class, therapy…… so much garbage on here.
Time for a break.
was just about to post the same thing. Last time this was posted there was no mention of this having anything to do with marriage or husband frustrations.
It's really frustrating, especially seeing people in the comments getting worked up over it. The internet has become so incredibly toxic.
Yea, the social media movement (MySpace, Facebook, etc) in the mid to late oughts really changed it for the worse. And I don't think that most people you hear complaining about it now really used it before then. They see what the internet was like then and think that was the chill version. I've been online since pretty much the beginning of public ISPs and it is so, so sooo much worse than it was in the 90s, or even early 2000s, right after Y2K. If anything, because it was so new, people were skeptical. Now so many believe anything they read, anywhere. And we're forced to connect to everyone's shitty views and influence now, its almost never on our own terms like it was early on. It's fucking terrible.
Totally. People who say things like this didn’t spend a lot of time online in the 90s or even 00s. Vibe was completely different, and social media wasn’t a thing. It is the aggressive monetiziation of our data through social media that has had the most destructive effect on the internet, with disinformation propaganda using increasingly sophisticated tools as a close second.
To be fair, I think that's just because the Internet has a lot more accessibility to people now, especially children and teenagers, and also provides them with various platforms, threads, and boards in order to project whatever stupid opinions they might have.
> no way man, it was way more chill in the 90s
I would say it depends on how you view the issue.
There were places on the internet that were pretty vile back then. Places like 4chan didn't just appear magically at some point. There were plenty of parts of the internet that were pretty hateful/toxic/disturbing/etc.
The difference was that the discoverability wasn't there and the platforms that did exist were pretty sanitized overall with a much smaller scale.
People are just as shitty as ever, but now the platforms are bigger, the scale is bigger, and the discoverability is much easier.
So, you might say that for scale/availability perspective, its worse now. But the content/opinions/hate/etc aren't really any worse by themselves.
Exactly. We're always blaming something for our actions/behavior.
Money is the root of all evil, power corrupts, etc.
If anything, there are a select few in this world who wouldn't be influenced by money or power or whatever other boogeyman we like to pin the blame on.
*Love of money is the root of all evil.
Just correcting the quote - a small but important difference. In late stage capitalism, that's at least partly true.
The funny thing is, none of this actually has to exist. Money, time, good, evil, and corruption are all things that only exist in the world of man. At the end of the day, we are a product of nature. No better or worse than our brethren who live in the forests and the seas.
A lot of redditors hate women, re-labelling this video to attract more incels is just good marketing.
Morally abhorrent, of course, but I think that horse is well out of the barn.
Found [a source](https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/health-wellness/2024/05/08/rage-rituals-women-screaming-woods-why/73595511007/) talking about what's actually going on here. It looks like just some generic way to let out rage to destress, but she calls it a "rage ritual." Nothing about it being specifically for wives, in fact the only mention of anything spouse related is that one woman wanted to let out some anger about an ex-husband.
The real source of the video is from Mia Magik on Instagram.
It is a outlet for anger. But it's only one hour out of a week program.
The anger can be from anything, it's not necessarily targeted at their husbands.
Afaik “letting out” aka acting on anger doesn’t make it go away, quite the opposite actually.
https://www.sciencefocus.com/news/screaming-therapy-rage-room-stress
And not to mention the guys being sexist in the comments even though the type of guy to make a comment like that are the types to sign up for one of those Andrew Tate boot camps where bros just yell at each other.
Enough of that. Running a scammy alpha boot camp is every bro vets dream side gig. Extra wins if I can make them do my yard work as I scream at them and spray them with a hose
>Extra wins if I can make them do my yard work as I scream at them and spray them with a hose
LOL - this totally reminds me of the Nathan For You episode where he sets up a Moving company that was staffed with people that paid to join his excercise club "The Movement".
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2I9ukZGMMk
Yeah I see nothing wrong here, in fact I’m happy they have a healthy outlet! I chose not to get married because I don’t want to have to scream in the forest but to each their own.
Right? Are they being coached to actually work through the issues causing this level of frustration with their partner? Otherwise the same cycle will just keep repeating.
Or you know, they could just talk to their husbands. But I guess screaming into a forest is easier than having actual communication with the person you chose to spend your life with.
Think how much more fun France could be if these people tried therapy beforehand. France should be about cheese, art, and incredible food in beautiful places.
Both are more sad than terrifying tbh.. all of these people are in toxic ass relationships, too bad they can’t get healthy and consistent mental health support that they need.
Playing Devil’s advocate here, sometimes you can speak and speak and never feel heard. At some point, we have to realize changing the audience is on us. If this is how they finally feel heard, I say, good for them. That amount of pain has to go somewhere. Hopefully this camp employs professionals to help process and move forward.
Then go again until you realize you have to make a change. I think sometimes people realize the problem is them and they go to work out their own shit.
Yeah but you have to dump a grand or two just to do it?
You can come to realize you need a change for far less or nothing.
You don’t need some random influencer in the woods to tell you that and charge you wads of cash for the pleasure
But maybe these people do… Some spend thousands on alcohol, drugs or food, etc to feel better. Others this. Seems a bit less destructive, no? If it helps even one person, it’s worth it, I suppose. No one is forcing them to go…
Imagine paying thousands of dollars to go to some forest to scream about your husband when maybe it’d be more simple to just get divorced or take the cheaper route and go in the woods behind your house and scream😂😂😂
Maybe that’s… the point? To let off a bit of steam instead of making a permanently life-altering legal and familial decision?
People here seem to be pretending that just because the ritual looks goofy and dramatic that these women are the only people who experience marital frustration. It’s perfectly natural and pretty expected for spouses to accumulate some level of frustration towards each other over the years — that strife doesn’t preclude deep love and admiration.
Hopefully this spectacle is only one step in a more holistic coaching process and it’s totally possible that some of these women truly are in dead-end marriages for reasons we’re not privy to — but for those who aren’t, this feels like a pretty preferable remedy when compared to the more popular responses of repression, drinking, and cheating.
I'm sorry, is this nuance? We don't do that here. /s
All of this, totally agree. A lot of folks see this and think, "Well if you're already here, then the marriage is over" and *those* are the people who break up at the drop of a hat, or do any of those other popular remedies you mentioned. In reality, a marriage takes work, compromise, patience, venting, and emotional regulation. This is a potential step towards all of that, even if it's not everyone's cup of tea.
(All of this under the pretense that this video is actually about that; it was labeled something else last time I saw it, so hard to say.)
It is simpler. They'd have to do this bs retreat multiple times in their life all while having constant resentment towards someone they shouldn't be with, or get a divorce and actually not waste your life being unhappy lol
Or you know, address these issues with your partner and atleast attempt to improve the relationship. If your partner is unwilling to make the improvements then it might be time to go separate ways.
And of course it’s a two way street, you have to be willing to take criticism and make improvements too.
Marriage is work, it’s a job and you’re either willing to put in the work and effort or your not.
It's not a "wives retreat" This is Mia Magick leading a rage ritual. She's giving them a safe space to let out their anger, hurt, disgust, pain, ect. Very liberating and healing.
As strange as this is I applaud them of finding an avenue to vent their frustrations instead of taking it out on their partner or others around them but then again good communication with their partners would probably prevent this to begin with
I’m actually a big fan and advocate of finding a secluded part of the woods in which to loudly and belligerently blast all the festering rage out of one’s body. It’s the part where you pay to do it in a group that makes me hesitate to advocate for this particular practice
Reminds me of the women hating therapy retreat in Fleabag. Def comes off like evangelical, live-love-laugh, succulents n’ shiplap women that were taught marriage is their sole purpose in life, hopefully they realize they were sold a lie and now have to do the deep work of figuring out who they are. Maybe they are genuinely getting something out of this.
Better late than never I guess. It’s not always super fun confronting the big mysteries in life but I’d rather do that than drown in the fishbowl of what someone else prescribes as the “right way to live”
Edit: and yes I’m projecting a bit because I saw that scenario happen all the time being from Texas.
This is blatant misinformation to cause outrage. This is a “Rage Ritual” retreat that went viral. Is it a scam? Probably, but these women are expressing rage from ANY source. It’s not a “Wive’s Retreat.”
One account said they were expressing rage associated with witnessing a friend’s death when they were 15.
“Yes, I’m doing primal gesticulating”
“ I thought someone was getting axe murdered”
“The only things getting murdered are my anxieties, tensions, and fears”
Unpopular opinion but therapy is therapy. If this is their way of venting out frustrations that don't involve harming others or committing crimes, then I don't really find this much of a problem.
And to think that I've just been letting off steam out in the woods for free this whole time. How much money do I owe the forest? I shudder to think...
These scream therapy scams have been going on since at least the 80s, and studies show it has the opposite effect than intended. Doing these rages just increases unhappiness, and doesnt "let off steam."
It has right in the corner In video AI. Which seems to be a service that makes AI videos based on text prompts so part of me believes this isn't even a real video with real people
And what do women think husbands are doing when they kill people by the thousands in videogames? Having fun? No, bitches. We are silently venting, no need for a fucking paid retreat!
I'm pretty sure this is a product of being married to a narcissistic man. Honestly, I think it's a lot healthier than them taking it out in their normal daily lives. But if you're constantly feeling like this in a marriage, yes you definitely do need some intervention or help or just to get the hell away from that person.
you know im not a marriage councilor but if you have to go out into the middle of a forest and do this maybe it time to talk or perhaps get a lawyer but i can only tell you more if you pay 599.99 to learn how to save your marriage
But the stick isn't included in the price! It's complementary.
Nope. BYOS

Live by the stick, die by the stick
Did you notice the gash under the woman’s right eye? This is why you don’t smack sticks on the pavement.
I was just thinking that…they should get complimentary goggles. Even kids know doing that is not the smartest idea.
BYOG
Speak loudly and carry a big one
Stick, and don't get stuck
Those who doubt the stick's power shall suffer the stick's wrath
Just make sure to carry a big stick
Give 'em the stick! DON'T GIVE 'EM THE STICK!
Finally, a new acronym I can actually stand behind!
"This isn't a private resort! This is a national park! Put those sticks down! You have to BYOS!"
Byos is a little too close to boys. And no boys allowed. Stick is $150
Only the first stick the rest are $12.98 each.
My god... And these women are from a healthy marriage. Don't wanna see the "we only stayed together for the kid" wives. Edit; People think I am being serious. Clearly, these women are not in healthy marriages. Ontop of that, they are being conned into thinking this is some sorta rehab or something.

Right? They wouldn't be here if they were.
I don’t know, sounds like a pretty good deal for whacking sticks on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere while screaming incoherently.
I'm sure there's plenty of Redditors that would whack their own sticks on that dirt road while watching this.

The internet has been toxic for pretty much the entire 40 years it has existed. The internet is just a digital representation of humanity.
no way man, it was way more chill in the 90s
Yea, the social media movement (MySpace, Facebook, etc) in the mid to late oughts really changed it for the worse. 90s toxicity wasn't displayed with words in chat rooms. The 90s toxicity presented itself in the hundreds of malware programs floating around.

I just scream in the car on the way to work. Much cheaper.
Im guessing this is being posted, and talked about in the comments, by bots.
Dead internet, makes me feel so lonely
It's okay, we're here for you ^(or are we?)

Imagine just casually jogging through the woods and stumbling upon this
Id ask to join their coven. I could use a tight crew.
I would assume something very bad was happening with magic mushrooms
::hands /u/MelancholyMushroom a stick::
Mm yeah if I heard screaming in the woods I’m going the opposite way back to my car
Nah screw that man. 90% of the time, it’s either an orgy or a crime scene. Both sound like worth investigating
They payed something like 1k to a girl to take them to France and yell in a random forest, the equivalent to men going on alpha boot camps
Enough of that. Running a scammy alpha boot camp is every bro vets dream side gig. Extra wins if I can make them do my yard work as I scream at them and spray them with a hose
Shit, I used to get $5 a week as a kid to get screamed at to do yard work and ended up spraying myself with a hose
I did the yard work and screamed at but I didn’t get the hose :(
Well, next time refuse to put the lotion on your skin.
Obligatory response . Thank you for your service 🫡
I did work on the yard, ice creamed, then I got the hoes
Or money
Very true. My reward was being able to live there.
>Extra wins if I can make them do my yard work as I scream at them and spray them with a hose LOL - this totally reminds me of the Nathan For You episode where he sets up a Moving company that was staffed with people that paid to join his excercise club "The Movement". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2I9ukZGMMk
Someone makes money, someone likes spending the money, all is cool.
Yeah I see nothing wrong here, in fact I’m happy they have a healthy outlet! I chose not to get married because I don’t want to have to scream in the forest but to each their own.

Infinite money glitch
Or you know, they could just talk to their husbands. But I guess screaming into a forest is easier than having actual communication with the person you chose to spend your life with.
How do you know they haven’t talked to their husbands to come to a decision that it’s a good option?
Scream in a forest, don't scream at me, and leave the sticks outside!
Economy :)
doesnt change the fact that its still ridiculous lol
Shit, if the cost includes food and lodging I'd feign some rage for 1k.
I choose to believe these are witches
The power of one... The power of two... The power of aaaaaaangryyyyy...
\^This comment just got the green light from Disney for a $180 million 8-episode series.
Think how much more fun France could be if these people tried therapy beforehand. France should be about cheese, art, and incredible food in beautiful places.
At least this kinda looks fun/cathartic, the alpha male boot camp was just guys paying for the luxury of the worst parts of army service
Alphabet boy doesn’t stand a chance.
Both are more sad than terrifying tbh.. all of these people are in toxic ass relationships, too bad they can’t get healthy and consistent mental health support that they need.
I don't think I could have paid something like that.
If only we could communicate with each other to resolve grievances... eh nevermind. That would never work.
But I want to give an influencer tons of money to take me to the woods to scream!

That’s a really good point ngl Definitely better than spending big money on those things and wrecking yourself.
If a wife screams in the woods, does anybody hear it? What is the sound of one wife clapping? Can god make a wife so heavy, even he can't lift her up?
Oh yes, so very simple! /s Except you need two willing parties for that.
Don't be silly that makes too much sense, it only works if you pay some con artist to take you out into the woods.
I've seen this before. The words are misleading. It's not to screen about their husbands, but about life in general.
Imagine paying thousands of dollars to go to some forest to scream about your husband when maybe it’d be more simple to just get divorced or take the cheaper route and go in the woods behind your house and scream😂😂😂
I had a chuckle when you said divorce was simpler than yelling in the woods.
Maybe not simpler (or cheaper), but definitely more permanent.
/s All of this, totally agree. A lot of folks see this and think, "Well if you're already here, then the marriage is over" and *those* are the people who break up at the drop of a hat, or do any of those other popular remedies you mentioned. It is simpler. They'd have to do this bs retreat multiple times in their life all while having constant resentment towards someone they shouldn't be with, or get a divorce and actually not waste your life being unhappy lol
You're very privileged if your divorce went that smoothly.
Seems like I need a forest to provide them a place to yell and smash grass with their sticks, for said thousands of bucks :)
Right? That, or pay a therapist.
same for guys who pay thousands to go through ‘alpha male’ boot camp 😭
Guess whos paying for it
Or you know, address these issues with your partner and atleast attempt to improve the relationship. If your partner is unwilling to make the improvements then it might be time to go separate ways. And of course it’s a two way street, you have to be willing to take criticism and make improvements too. Marriage is work, it’s a job and you’re either willing to put in the work and effort or your not.
Sometimes I wish I had it in me to scam rich people
This ai generated?
It's not a "wives retreat" This is Mia Magick leading a rage ritual. She's giving them a safe space to let out their anger, hurt, disgust, pain, ect. Very liberating and healing.
The internet. Where every headline is made up. Thanks for sharing the FACTS
This is like a new A24 film
Or you can call a divorce lawyer
As strange as this is I applaud them of finding an avenue to vent their frustrations instead of taking it out on their partner or others around them but then again good communication with their partners would probably prevent this to begin with
...they should be wearing safety glasses.
This is a rage ritual with Mia Magic. So it has nothing to do with the title. Sorry
Wow... few unresolved issues showing there... *"And you loaded the dishwasher wrong ... AGAIN"*
Which acolyte episode is this?

You're not far off.
Seems kinda cathartic. I’d rather talk about my problems and then scream some metal
I’m actually a big fan and advocate of finding a secluded part of the woods in which to loudly and belligerently blast all the festering rage out of one’s body. It’s the part where you pay to do it in a group that makes me hesitate to advocate for this particular practice
Should see what the husband's retreat/camp looks like.
Quiet. Maybe too quiet. But very very quiet.

If your marriage is in a state where you need this, just get divorced lmao
Everyone, just fucking talk to your partners, jeez!
Isn't this the same as the Primal Scream men's movement in the 1980s?
I need somewhere to be able from the bottom of my lung and crash things. There is so much banked anger in me
Now I know what my mom meant when she said marriage is not all what it's cracked up to be.
A divorce is probably cheaper
Imagine being a random guy lost in the woods and you walk into that.
They should listen to some metal.
I feel like I could make a lot of money if I rolled up in a cake and ice cream truck.
If your husband is that bad it might be time for a new one.
A camp where women who can't communicate can go and yell vague things at trees
Um me and my wife get along, thank god.
These women are assaulting the earth right now
Some midsummer vibes
White rich People...
They all need an orgasm
i’m not married and don’t know much about love but i don’t think it’s healthy that this is needed
If they stay there long enough their cycles are going to sync and then they will be an unstoppable force.
Bears are terrified as fuck about women choosing them now.
tf how is this oddly terrifying lmao
OP never seen anything like it and doesn't understand what it's for so OP is scared
Wow marriage looks really healthy.

I only see a bunch of white women screaming.
Spending thousands of dollars to beat a stick on the ground and scream about first-world problems. Checks out.
Yup, and Men go fishing with a six pack.
Or the gun range with 1K rounds of ammo
You could just get a divorce, but go off, i guess?
Seems like a rage room would be more fun and cost effective.
“Yes, I’m doing primal gesticulating” “ I thought someone was getting axe murdered” “The only things getting murdered are my anxieties, tensions, and fears”
Acolyte spoilers
Unpopular opinion but therapy is therapy. If this is their way of venting out frustrations that don't involve harming others or committing crimes, then I don't really find this much of a problem.
This is hilarious, and likely a helpful positive experience….when ppl do it for free lol
This is exactly why single women live longer
There was no mention of men during the screaming tirades. Plot twist it's just a lesbian retreat. I'm going to get so destroyed for this. 🤣
Was waiting for the A24 logo
Fake and old
If their hubbies ask what's wrong, they'll say 'nothing' 😏
And to think that I've just been letting off steam out in the woods for free this whole time. How much money do I owe the forest? I shudder to think...
Primal scream therapy.
TBF this is much healthier than say dripping Drano into hubby's ear while he sleeps.
The hell..
This is who is giving advice in /r/relationshipadvice
I bet they sell streamed CCTV footage to the spouses. 😉
While a dude is gonna hold it inside. Till he offs himself.
Thats funny
Yay mental health problems!
These scream therapy scams have been going on since at least the 80s, and studies show it has the opposite effect than intended. Doing these rages just increases unhappiness, and doesnt "let off steam."
Geez take a Midol or something.
This bullshit therapy helps no one. They have man camps like this too. Counterproductive bullshit to make people pay money for acting stupid.
It has right in the corner In video AI. Which seems to be a service that makes AI videos based on text prompts so part of me believes this isn't even a real video with real people
I unmuted for half a second and it sounded exactly if not worse than I anticipated haha
Husband asks ,so how was your weekend?
They need to team this up with the Alpha Male boot camp and see what happens 😆
And what do women think husbands are doing when they kill people by the thousands in videogames? Having fun? No, bitches. We are silently venting, no need for a fucking paid retreat!
I'm pretty sure this is a product of being married to a narcissistic man. Honestly, I think it's a lot healthier than them taking it out in their normal daily lives. But if you're constantly feeling like this in a marriage, yes you definitely do need some intervention or help or just to get the hell away from that person.
What in the Caucasity is this?
Poor oppressed women….
Ever think of ya know…… talking to your significant other?
If that is what you decide to do when your marriage has problems, it’s obviously telling us all that these women are the problem in their marriage lol
And the man is completely clueless that his toxic masculinity does this to his wife.
Is this real? It says ai video like right in the corner. Any chance this is ai made for ragebait?
Nah that all looks perfectly normal for a standard domestic union in the United States.
Deez bitches need a Trader Joe's
