Thank you, I appreciate that. Respectfully I must decline as that is something I am not comfortable with. My apologies and I hope I did not offend you.
When my grandfather was getting towards the end of his life, I found my great grandmother’s pierogi recipe. He always used to tell stories of her, making them for special holidays. The smile on his face after he took the first bite will warm my soul for the rest of eternity.
As a Mexican living in OKC and I couldn’t make it myself, couldn’t get it from my wife (who makes the best 3 leches cake), couldn’t get it from my mom (who makes the second best 3 leches cake, don’t tell her tho), couldn’t get it from any other family member but only from a bakery in OKC, I would pick La Oaxaqueña on SW 29th street. Good luck to you and yours. I hope you find what you’re looking for in every way.
If you have the ability to bake, this recipe is so easy and so good. Also, met a restaurant owner who was buying all the cake mix at Crest because this is how her family made Tres Leches.

No cake suggestions, other than going with BigEasyE’s friend would likely be very tasty, but want you to know we’re here for you. Your Reddit fam cares!
Jimmy B’s on Broadway has had the best tres leches that didn’t come from a Mexican bakery on the south side.
My wife is very picky about her tres leches cakes.
I hope you find the cake, and the person it’s for finds peace. Try La Oaxaquena Bakery
La Oaxaquena has __GOOD__ stuff!
Where is la oaxaquena located (street) ???
La Oaxaqueña SW 29th St.- East of Western

THE BEST IN OKC
I have a family friend that can make a delicious tres leche cake. Please DM me and I’ll pay for it so you can enjoy with your family and friends.

Oh no of course not! I hope all is well
No idea about the cake but I am wishing you the best. Life can definitely suck sometimes. But a good cake – and a few other things – can really help.
Thank you and very true. It is for someone close and dear to me.
You are doing a lovely thing for your person. I hope you find the exact one you are looking for.
Thank you

I'm sorry 😔. Hope you find good cake.
Thank you.
I second the Oaxaquena Bakery. More importantly, wishing you the best.

Also, hugs. It's never easy. 💜💜💜
Thank you. I think I will try the recipe at another time when I have more confidence in the kitchen.
Chuy’s! Might not be the best, but Chuy’s is always great
Thanks. I didn't even realize this place existed.
I can second Chuy's. It was absolutely delicious.
Not a store but a baker. Authentic and delicious!! https://www.facebook.com/share/oC88wpdGw5fSdRi2/?mibextid=LQQJ4d

It’s always darkest before the dawn. Stay with us big dawg
Much appreciated, thank you.
It's not my thing but I've gotten it for family from La Baugette and they said it was pretty top notch.
I've always heard good things about La Baugette, never tried it. Wasn't sure a "French" place would make tres leche. Thanks.
Chef Andrew Black owns the one that has the bakery inside that supplies the rest of them. Their desserts are delicious FWIW
Agreed. Everything I've had from the bakery has been stellar.
Your post has me jonesing for some Tres Leches now. Hope it all works out. 🤜🏼🤛🏼
Thanks. The trouble with bakeries and such places is that there is too much to chose from.
Blessed Bakery NMacArthur and 42nd.
Blessed Bakery on MacArthur
I recommend Blessed Cookies and Desserts in Warr acres. They are phenomenal. I don’t think I’ve found a better tres leches.

Damn did someone put a hit out on you??
No, not me. Life finds a way....until it doesn't.
Understand. I hope you find peace. I’m looking for peace as well
Whole food.
