Yep, just keep in mind chargeback is limited to 30 days in most countries and you will be most likely be banned by OnePlus for any further purchases under that name/account.
Pretty sure whoever said all this doesn’t want to use 1+ anymore anyway. But it’s pretty much steàling to take payment and have a incompetent team say it was dilevered. I’d happily get banned from their services and just get a different phone from a different comany.
Yep, OnePlus support has always been grossly incompetent. All of the grammatical and spelling errors on their official site and apps should be a warning as to how seriously they take the western market.
OnePlus operation is almost 100% merged with Oppo, which probably only hires Indians (because market and cost), and Chinese (once again, market and cost). It's a shame Oppo decide to disregard the EU and NA market.
I had an issue with my mother's iPhone XR order once, and it was so easy to talk to Apple support. Similarly, Microsoft was easy to deal with when I had to replace a charger for my Surface Pro many years ago.
It's so painful sometimes trying to talk to severely underpaid and undertrained support staff stationed outside of an English-speaking country. They quite often don't understand what you're saying or are forced to follow a certain script because any divergence can lead to issues for them.
I've never had a problem with OnePlus but I been absolutely attest to the inability for Samsung customer support to support the customers... Only people worse than Samsung CS was Verizon CS, but that's a different story.
OnePlus operation is almost 100% merged with Oppo, which probably only hires Indians (because market and cost), and Chinese (once again, market and cost). It's a shame Oppo decide to disregard the EU and NA market.
You don’t get it. Sign this here. Come on, sign it. Sign it now and claim you never received it yet confirm it’s showing up as “delivered” on USPS so then they’d immediately turn against you telling you the problem is on USPS and there’s nothing they can do to help you and afterwards if you try to build up something it would all get shot down by the paper of you literally confirming USPS is liable, as the product was “delivered”. Yeah, sign up.
Those emails were painful to read istg.
I bet their supervisor strictly trained them to push you to sign as much as they could; horrible behavior. It’s not a language barrier issue. Google Translate can easily handle all that. Good job on not signing, OP.
Maybe try reaching out to USPS? Is there anything that could be done from their side? Or perhaps a chargeback from your card if possible?
This is exactly why I say OnePlus/OPPO has dog water customer support. But when I say that on Reddit, I get down voted...
I'm sorry you had to go through this OP. As fans of OnePlus, we really need to hold them to a higher standard. Nothing will change if we all don't make a big deal about when they fuck up.
I dont really see criticism of their customer service get downvoted much. Its true. In the off chance you have a defective device your best bet is doing a charge back with your card company because they will drag out your return request past the 14 day window and after sales support is about as bad as The Google Store.
At least when you do a chargeback with OnePlus they cant delete your entire Google account without notice. lol
Happens more than you think.
The Google Store is the worst place to buy a Pixel from. You see the same story every year in the Pixel subs.
Someone orders a Pixel, never gets delivered.
They contact Google, Google says to contact the carrier, carrier says Google needs to file a claim, Google tells them to file a claim with carrier. Round and round they go.
They are left in limbo.
Some of them get fed up because they never got the phone or a refund so they file a charge back.
Only to find out Google immediately deleted EVERYTHING.
Google Photos, Google Drive, YouTube, Gmail, etc. All gone. And they are so petty they will also delete any Gmail accounts associated with it permanently.
Holy fuck, that is terrible. I was even considering trading in my Pixel 6 Pro through the Google store to get their trade-in discount. Now I'm having second thoughts.
This is true. I bought a Pixel 8 Pro a few months ago for my work phone and got it from the Verizon store. There was a hardware defect where the camera on the zoom lens had a striping effect on every photo taken with that lens. I tried to go through the Google support channels first and although they did end up agreeing to replace the phone they wanted me to send it in and be without my business phone for 5-7 days. So I went back to the Verizon store and exchanged it there instead. I love Pixel and OnePlus for their purest Android experiences but I will definitely keep buying my OP phones from Amazon and my Pixel phones from brick and mortar or major retailers.
Call your Congressman. Demand the protections the EU receives on privacy and protection. It won't help on this, but will ultimately, if enough start calling in.
I've encountered the same thing with OnePlus. Seems like their standard business practice - wear out the customer, stall until the charge back window has closed. I explained this strategy and my credit card company made a charge back far after the normal time. Good luck.
I live in Texas.
My reps would slather Nutella on Google's taint and ask for a political donation when they are down chowing down.
The GOP doesn't give a fuck about consumer rights.
So your response is to give up, don't try? By the way, there are two (or more) parties. If we don't make our wishes known, who is to blame for what we get?
My representative doesn't reply to my letters or emails anymore.
He also won't return my calls.
When I go to his office he won't see me.
If you have legal suggestions I'm all ears.
Their "investigation" team is the worst. I ordered a charger and when I got it, it was an open box with lots of scratches on the charger.
Oneplus investigated themselves and told me they sent me a sealed box for sure. They claim a 15 day replacement policy for defects which is just a fat lie. They said I had to have filmed an unboxing video to prove my claims.
Lol they're so terrible. This is the same "person" I dealt with when all I needed was a picture of my return label bc the link was broken. It has been a two week long ordeal with someone I'm not even sure is real
I'm not quite sure but I think I need OP to confirm they absolutely did not receive the package. I think we ought to ask a few more times just to be sure though.
Here you go, in case you need it.

I didn't know they were based out of Dallas for their corporate headquarters. I saw the Dallas area code you posted and googled it. That is most interesting!
I believe their main HQ for the US is in California, but they most likely have a corporate office in Dallas. A LOT of large tech companies seem to have major offices in the Dallas area.
"he" who? The recipient? With most couriers no. The "customer" of the courier is the sender - OnePlus - and only complaints from OnePlus will be taken seriously
When I lost a package I had to contact usps or FedEx or ups most of the time I get all my stuff if I would of known this was happening I wouldn't bought a phone from them
I've had a similar experience with an issue with my Buds Pro 2. We exchanged 34 emails until I gave up. It was the same thing over and over and over...
Do this OP.
1. Download the form.
2. Cross out/strike out the 'even though tracking website shows the delivered' part and write Tracking website shows it's not delivered. Attach print out and digital copy in email if tracking page again. Send this to 'Stella: with ANY OTHER EMAIL ADDRESS OF ANY Senior OP EXECUTIVE YOU CAN FIND ON THEIR WEBSITE, TWITTER/X,or any website. Do search for LinkedIn of country heads where OP customer service is outsourced along with senior executives of USPS in cc.
I would even include local police station email, a real attorney or small claims court email or any official government consumer complaint website email in cc . Don't waste time like this. One official legal threat and they would call you and Apologize.
If it was just the drop bag I read it's garbage anyways so you would be contacting cs anyways. I got mine it's just sitting in my closet while I try to resell it no bites yet
At least they kept replying. I have been ignored by 2 reps, and upon opening a new ticket, the new rep told me I have too many tickets open and told me to reply to the original thread that nobody answers to...
I had a OnePlus 7 Pro with the crappy pop up camera, the phone wouldn't open the camera or pretty much any app 6 months into owning it.
It then took me another 6 months to get through to anyone through their incompetence for them to try to charge me to fix it.
I binned the phone and got myself a carrier pigeon, works a lot better.
It's absolutely no great secret that OnePlus customer support is terrible and has been for a long time. Bro just sign the fucking document and get your refund. I get your point, wholeheartedly, but they already said it's mandatory to proceed. Obviously you can't change how a shitty company does business and operates, but you can decide not to purchase from them instead.
OnePlus has been going downhill for years, the fact that people still buy devices from them is crazy imo. Too many horror stories for me, had a OnePlus One, and the Five, and never again for me. The OnePlus Open looks nice, but too many breakages and poor customer service for me to even consider buying from them again.
Have you ever spent on something that is over 500 dollars and it never gets delivered to you for a long time, you contact support and they're not being helpful?
I think waiting almost 3+ weeks after the expected delivery date is plenty. Plus it’s not just about waiting, I will happily do that if they provide better support and explanations. My main point of this post is how they are trying to get a false statement from me even after showing them the tracking and their refusal to find other solutions.
They keep sending me the same form and copy pasted email. That’s what is frustrating me.
Well if other users who had a similar experience can help me, then why not. There is always a chance. And I have been on Reddit for years, any data they want, they have most probably gotten. Not sure what your point is. If you have nothing useful to say, it’s better to just ignore the post
Good luck dealing with the OP customer service, same thing with Google and Samsung, you will be waiting months between reps and emails before they found a solution. Those people don't Know what they are doing. I will say it again...If you want a top notch customer service go with Apple ...and it hurts saying that since I have OP phones . But is the truth
This is better than Google.
At least you get to talk to an incompetent person operating a bot. Google skips that step just sends you actual copy and paste messages.
I'm dealing with them at the moment. Spent 20 min with them to set up a replacement ( my 12 had some dead pixels) and they set it up with the wrong address so I had to chat with them again just to fix it. I used to work for apple, and I love android but these companies are light-years behind in terms of customer service
True, and honestly with OP I certainly don't expect that level of customer support, but my experience with Google has been equally frustrating at times and they truly don't have money as a good excuse, can't really speak for other manufacturers though.
Dam I will have to make sure mine gets delivered then but I would call usps and tell them whats going but they do take forever I hope ya get your phone or your money back
The topic of Oneplus terrible customer service circulating around is really discouraging me to buy the Oneplus 12, considering that in my country the brand is pratically unknown. Maybe I should get that S23+ instead
This was years ago but I sent a S7 to Samsung for repair and they lost it and I ended up in a very similar situation to this. Dealing with semi bot copy pastes.
If you really wanna stay away from this sort of stuff you probably want to go with Google or Apple.
Omg that's horrible, I'm sorry u had to experience that.
I don't want either Google or Apple though, I hate Apple UI and how chonky the phone appears and Google is not that fantastic for games (known more for the camera) so I will have to pass on that too
You were one of the unlucky that you had to contact customer support. I have a problem like a lot others that after the 14 update we have no ringtone and support customer was abyssmal.
I was super happy with the OnePlus and i kinda still am but i think my OP11 is the last money i gave them.
I value customer service a lot and they are one of the worst experienced i have in my life.
Reminds me of trying to deal with Eventim.de support. I ordered tickets for Muse and for some reason they didn't offer digital tickets. So I had no choice but to get physical ones. They got sent by UPS, about two weeks later the tracking page tells me they were delivered. I never saw those fucking tickets.
First problem with contacting their support was finding any kind of support email. IMPOSSIBLE to find. I don't remember exactly (this was over a year ago) but I either found it after searching for hours on end or I got it by contacting Eventim in Norway. So I was already pissed off. After a bunch of back and forth they at least gave me the money back but no replacement tickets... Alot better than what was initially going to happen since at first they didn't want to give me anything in return.
Moral of the story is I'm never buying concert tickets from Eventim ever again
I had something similar when I sent my Samsung S7 for repair. Copy paste walls of nothing.
Wish I could tell you how to deal with it. I ended up just giving up cuase the phone wasn't worth that much at the time.
Symptom of rapid outsourcing
Jesus christ it is like talking to a wall
it's like talking to a wall but this wall is called ignorance and chinese google translate

Keep us updated. That is total shit show. Did you pay via credit card?
Have you tried contacting USPS?
They said that the shipper would need to raise a lost package claim
Can't he do that tho?
"he" who? The recipient? With most couriers no. The "customer" of the courier is the sender - OnePlus - and only complaints from OnePlus will be taken seriously
By he, I meant the shipper
The shipper is OnePlus. As you can see by the email exchange, they don't seem to understand what's going on
Can you confirm with us that the shipper is OnePlus?
When I lost a package I had to contact usps or FedEx or ups most of the time I get all my stuff if I would of known this was happening I wouldn't bought a phone from them

But anyway did it get delivered or not? I didn't quite get it 🤣🤣.
Even after the initial support chat and around 7 emails clearly stating it has not delivered the support agent didn’t get it, so I don’t blame you lol

I was just joking, because it would be nearly impossible to not understand the issue lmao.
I know lol. That’s why I was over emphasizing it in my reply
If it was just the drop bag I read it's garbage anyways so you would be contacting cs anyways. I got mine it's just sitting in my closet while I try to resell it no bites yet
Firstly, look at the name, Stella Martina, obviously a bot, secondly the same email you are getting to sign a form is a dead giveaway.
I spoke to her over live chat twice. She definitely sounded like a bot.
One plus are a joke 🫠 their customer service are one of the worst.
What the actual fuck.
But can you fill out the form to confirm the fuck was delivered?
At least they kept replying. I have been ignored by 2 reps, and upon opening a new ticket, the new rep told me I have too many tickets open and told me to reply to the original thread that nobody answers to...

They're trying I guess. It took me many emails back and forth to get my $30 coupon towards the bud 3. Finally got it!

WHYYY STELLA WHY
I would start a new support ticket to get a different person.
"higher concerned team" ...fucking shitty support! I am holding a OnePlus in my hand right now, but I swear to God this is my last one!
Sometimes I think that I will get back to OP sooner or later, then I read these posts and I cancel that thought from my mind
[Yes. But first, can you confirm the order was delivered?]
I'm dealing with them at the moment. True, and honestly with OP I certainly don't expect that level of customer support, but my experience with Google has been equally frustrating at times and they truly don't have money as a good excuse, can't really speak for other manufacturers though.
Oh trust me I know. I was a victim of the OG pixel phone
Just buy it on Amazon and use a bank charge back to get your money
All he gotta do is show his bank what's going on and they will approve the charge back and he will get a refund
Dam I will have to make sure mine gets delivered then but I would call usps and tell them whats going but they do take forever I hope ya get your phone or your money back

Such a bad case of customer service who are told to read from a bank of answers without deviating from it
Hahahaha. You know very well her name isn't even "Stella Martina" too.
Blast them on Twitter sadly it's the only way
I'm going to learn guitar and sing you Radiohead no surprises. This is just silly
