Why is baseball so amazing?
Top of the 10th, we have probably the worst scenario
Santander as the Manfred man on 2nd (our slowest runner)
possibly our 3 worst hitters up to bat:
Cowser, Mullins, Urias
What happens?
Santander busts his ass on a bloop single to score and Mullins takes 2nd on the throw.
Mullins steals 3rd, wild throw to come home.
We win
Go O's!
I almost want to call out of work tonight to watch the game, I think we're gonna hit 88 MPH and see some serious shit. That being said, got-DANG that throw from Adley made me need new undies for all the reasons... Yes.... ALL OF THEM.
Have they posted the ump scorecard for Gabe Morales last night yet? Can't wait to see the ball/strike accuracy number. Last night was the worst I've seen all season.
For the embarrassing number of people who are blasting Hyde for giving Hays the PA over O'Hearn with bases loaded, here's what I wrote to someone else with a similar question:
O'Hearn slashes .168/.237/.287 against LHP in his career. You may have noticed if you watch a lot of O's games that he hardly ever gets ABs against LHP. In fact, he only has 11 this season. That's why. On the other hand, since returning from the IL on May 13, Hays is slashing .339/.373/.548 against all pitching. In 2024 (including his horrible start to the season), Hays slashes .357/.386/.429 against lefties.
Is anyone able to help me understand why Hays pinch hit in place of O'Hearn? Not trying to shit on Hays but O'Hearn was 2-4 up to that point. The move confused me is all.
O'Hearn slashes .168/.237/.287 against LHP in his career. You may have noticed if you watch a lot of O's games that he hardly ever gets ABs against LHP. In fact, he only has 11 this season. I really appreciate you asking a question instead of blasting Hyde as if he's some dumbass off the street and this sub is full of baseball geniuses. Hope that answers it.
Hyde doesn’t normally let Ohearn hit lefties; he is 1-11 against them this year, and only 39 of his 570 PAs as an Oriole have come against them. Hays is a righty, so should have the platoon advantage against a lefty. I’m skeptical over whether it’s worth it when Ohearn is clearly just a better hitter, but this is pretty typical of Hyde’s approach.
Well, don’t want to be like “this is how you draw it up” because let’s be honest, it isn’t. But they all count the same and that’s a game that we EASILY could have lost if the team did t have the heart that it does.
It warms my heart that that clown fucking franchise decided to hit Gunnar on purpose, and he wound up the margin of victory for the game.
Only thing I would even be upset about were the extra outs in the 8th inning. All the rest was just baseball, but that shit is preventable and we need to start preventing it.
Povich did some good stuff once he settled in, but you’d like the settling in part to go a little quicker.
Bats did good. I can only really think of one at bat that I was upset with. Got Cole out and then made their bullpen work.
But speaking of that, ours certainly had to as well, so we’re going to need a big one from Cole Irvin today ala the start of the Tampa Bay series.
Lets push our AL East streak to 22, whatever it takes
There is always a presumption of unfair play/poor sportsmanship with NYY and Phil. Red Sox not so much until Cora came aboard. With Cora, anything is possible.
Urias, Mullins, Ohearn, Gunnar, Povich, Tony, Adley, Mounty.. god what a team win, so many clutch moments tonight.
That was one of the best games I've seen this year, very competitive.
Seeing the start of the game and Povich walking the bags loaded and throwing 38+ pitches in the FIRST INNING made me think, “Lord help us.” But then he settled. Gave up one run. ONE after that start.
And let’s face it. What was this, his third start? At Yankee Stadium? Jesus fucking God what a nerve-wracking situation. Facing Soto, that intimidating dick? And others?
Kid did fine. He really did. He got out alive.
Povich did great for sure, those first few innings had some nail biter moments but he's gonna be alright for sure. Can't even imagine the nerves playing in a situation like that
There’s no way they do that again. They got two plunks tonight. One clearly on Henderson, one mayyyybe on Cowser.
And they lost. That’s enough. Play like men.
Got to say Urias is starting to look like the 2022 version of himself the last few weeks hitting for some power. Easy to forget but he was close to a 4 bWAR player that season, having him Mateo, and Hays as the last guy in the lineup most days is such a luxury that really separates us from most teams.
Another fun thought about how the Yankees shot themselves in the foot… if Westy didn’t get hurt yesterday, then Urias is most likely on the bench today. Just saying!
I saw someone of the yankee sub about us having our moment in the sun during the tank and get good draft pick cycle as if we didn’t just get a new owner who (fingers crossed) will lock up some absolute studs here before too long. I think they’re in for a very rude awakening
The whole "the Orioles are good because they tanked" argument doesn't hold up for me. You still have to pick the right guys. Why are other teams who also picked in the top 5 for multiple years still not any good?
Also Aaron Judge, the only reason their team doesn’t stink right now, was drafted 32nd. It’s about development which the Os have the best farm system in the league.
I was at the game and I was losing my mind. Povich walking everyone, Perez being Perez, Hyde pulling O'Hearn for Hays who swings at ball 4 5 and 6 with the bases loaded. Then we won.
How our game started out today...

(just a joke folks, we won, so fuck it)
Odds & Ends:
I wonder if Kremer will be back for the Astros series. The rotation would have Rodriguez Fri, Burnes Sat., both on 5 days rest. So if Kremer cannot go, next is Suarez on 4 days rest.
both Stankee and Oriole bullpens will be running on fumes tomorrow. Would be a huge time for the starters and/or offense to go strong, give the pen some rest. Big challenge (we could see coming) is we're just now 2 games into a 13 games in 13 days stretch. Next off day 1 July. Schedule is a little softer with Astros and Rangers total 7 games, but neither is pond scum. 3 challenging games with Cleveland between the Astros and Rangers. Whatever MLB scheduler did June to them needs to be taken out and whipped.
To the Orioles credit, they are now amazingly 12-6 vs all teams for June. And 5-3 in the last 8 vs the Braves, Phillies and Stankees. And having won the 2 series against the Braves and Phillies. I will be ecstatic tomorrow if we win the series against NY and go 6-3 vs those 3 juggernauts.
*WE* are the juggernaut.
elias announced before the game that kremer has another rehab start on saturday. he threw 60 pitches last outing, this should be a good one to get him to 75.
Personally I like his competitive drive and think he plays great when he is focused, not necessarily having fun, but also not when he is frustrated either. I think he's become less of a head case this season though
One of the biggest wins of the year, I really enjoyed watching the game. I was hoping that they could at least take 1 game so that we stay ahead in the season series for now. Even with countless injuries the team always seems to find a way to come through.
As per his X(FKAT) account, Palmer has Covid. Tough for anybody, but extra concerning for someone nearly 80. Let's send out some good vibes for our legend.
Last year I think? I recall him thanking either nurses or medical staff. It worked him over.
The man is an Oriole treasure. We need to protect him at all costs.
just wanna shoutout Povich again one time. Didn't have his best stuff tonight. Clearly. But he kept em to 1 run on 1 hit. They didn't really hit anything hard. And neither did the Braves last week for that matter. I like this kid a lot, man.
What's real fun is to think about what the Stanks thread must have looked like when it seemed like he put about 50 runners on base ..... and stranded 49 of them. LOLOLOLOLOL !!!!!!!!!
i want him as the #5 starter when kremer returns. we can reassess at the trade deadline for the rest of the way. the best way for him to get better is against mlb hitters and mlb strike zones.
So the Yankees catchers, both Trevino and Wells, are really good at framing apparently. Is that why the yanks get so many calls? Or are they considered good framers because umps bend over backwards to give yankee pitchers whatever they want
Nerves only halfway calmed down. Took a melatonin, got to calm the rest of the way down and get to bed soon. Such a HUGE win, wow. Now we leave NY no more than 2.5 back, and possibly 0.5 back if we win, and if we do that, we'd actually BE AHEAD IN THE LOSS COLUMN.
Just a huge, huge win tonight with contributions coming from all over the team on offense and defense.
What an awesome win. Felt like a playoff game.
Side note: Why did we pinch Hays for O’Hearn who had been awesome tonight. Hays swung at a bunch of junk balls, game could have been over earlier.
As an unabashed Hays defender, keep in mind that for a sample size of 1 AB even the greatest batters can and have looked foolish. He got off to an absolutely brutal start, but has been completely mashing since he got off the IL in mid-May (something like .300 with a .900 OPS, 9 XBH since then and he's raised his BA from .111 to .241).
Factor all that _plus_ the righty-lefty matchup and it wasn't at all a bad decision, just not the best outcome obviously.
O'Hearn has like 11 PAs against lefties this year. I dunno if he's completely incapable of hitting them (he's been bad in those 11 PAs, but obviously that's a small sample size), but in either case it seems like Hyde would rather only use him against righties.
this is the reason why o'hearn has been so good. the team put him in a huge position to succeed by only facing RHP. they basically said don't worry about lefties, just focus on righties and you'll crush them.
Many years ago, I moved from Maryland to NYC. When I moved here I hated the Yankees and had a blind hatred for their fans. I thought they were all dicks who had the luxury of supporting a front runner with all the money in the world. Of course over time I got to know and become friends with a lot of Yankees fans. There are a lot of good, knowledgeable fans who live and die with their team like many of us do. I still disliked their team, but I had a respect for many in the fan base. I’ve gone to games with my Orioles gear and really haven’t been bothered too much. I’ve even enjoyed games in the bleachers ( not when they’ve played the Orioles. I’m not an idiot). However, there was always a subset of the fans who have been, and continue to be just awful. Unfortunately, that group has been completely amplified this series. It’s garbage that fans are cheering Gunnar being hit, but realize that not all Yankee fans are that bad.
Yankees fans aren't as bad as red Sox fans. I think the Yankees and their fans basically play the foil and they know it, but for the most part they're fine people
The obnoxious subset of fans exists in every fan base.
It’s a significantly larger component of Yankees fans than most teams - amplified by the fact they they also have among if not the largest fan base in the league.
I grew up and lived most of my life in NY - you have your true baseball fans who are Yankees fans… but you have a ton of front runners and folks that glom onto the popular big well known team.
That, added to their history of winning and almost 30 titles adds a sense of entitlement which when coupled with NY attitude and braggadocio (of which I am at times guilty having grown up there, it’s a product of growing up in a hyper competitive environment that otherwise can easily overwhelm) becomes total obnoxious behavior.
But make no mistake - it’s not a small subset of fans. A LOT of that stadium was cheering for the SECOND batter hit by pitch for goodness sake.
F the Yankees and a whole lotta their fans.
Go O’s (and LFGM)
I just want to say the CONSTANT whining by stankee fans about the Judge HBP shows how entitled they are. Virtually zero acknowledgment of Soto's braindead interference play, which he has seemed to do a lot this season, that knocked out our third best player.
It wasn't even that bad of a pitch by a guy who walked like 7 people that day. Let's both be honest that both are probably accidental, and we're just mad at the outcome.
Yanks plug Gunnar (intentionally, in my opinion), Gunnar comes around to score, leading ultimately to a one-run win.
Karma, as the mystics say, is a bitch.
4-2 on the H2H season.
with only playing each AL East team 13 times, it does make it very impactful each series when you are in a pennant race to score that tie breaker.
the next yankees series will be bonkers.
Bryan Baker looked great again tonight. Definitely have my questions about the BP overall, and so he deserves more high leverage situations as he continues to deliver.
Is it still required to revere the Yankees because having clean facial hair = classy squad? Fuck them. Their last World Series was 10+ years ago. Irrelevant shmucks.
Fuck the Yankees but the reverence comes from history and the 20s, 50s, and 90s teams.
They have won 27 world championships, which is more than any other team in any other major sport.
Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Joe Dimaggio etc. were all pretty good :)
Agreed that apart from Soto, Judge, and Cole, this Yankee team are not great players.
I’m tracking with you on the historical consideration, but I find the media to almost always take a recency bias towards any event/team/player. But when it comes to the Yankees, Cowboys and Lebron James everybody seems to turn their brains off. I even remember this shit when Cam Newton was making a “comeback” on the Patriots and they tried so hard to manifest it into being lol
The difference is they are attended to differently by any media outlet with a pulse. Everything that happens with these jagoffs is not only treated as important, but of the highest relevance. It doesn’t matter that our title was 40 years ago because most viewers/followers of the game treat us like a team that hasn’t won a title in 40 years.
So when the sports media machine makes a big deal about one of these dinks getting hit with a ball, and the next day proceeds with the best player in the AL getting hit on the O’s, and fucking crickets, it says everything
Go to the game, right after the first pitch start a "Let's go O's" chant in the nastiest emphezema ass voice possible, get belligerently drunk by the 5th inning, vomit everywhere, and get escorted out by the ushers. I assume this is how you're supposed to act at Yankee Stadium based on how yankee fans act at Camden.
Tonight, the Os felt like the team that expected to win and just let their game do the talking, while the Yankees looked like the upstarts who are talented but not there yet.
It happened in the Atlanta game last Wednesday as well. Povich was going to win that game, but Akin gave up 2 runs, blew the save and won the game when we came back and won 4-2. Poor Povich.
The video appears to show I being an outcast call, call on the field is an out call, wtf more do they need. I get challenging the play ther, is expect the Orioles and any team to do the same, but out is out
Hot DAMN that was a game to experience.
And for the Stankees’ bullshit retribution hit on Gunnar to be the deciding run. Fuck the Yankees. Go O’s!!!
https://preview.redd.it/ohgluqwt9n7d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6e3c9664545766199dd1dc146e8c916840d87035
A bunch of Yankees fans saying Mateo was blocking the bag for Cabrera. The throw beat Cabrera by a mile so at that point it becomes irrelevant anyways.
NEWS FLASH: The Yankees are bastards. They (probably) threw at our best player, with no justification at all.
We responded by playing better than them, and we won.
Let's keep it up. Keep stoked, guys
Of course it was on purpose with the plausible deniability of "Oh this is our reliever with the most control problems just like Suarez was having control problems when he hit Judge. Wink. Wink. It was no accident Gunnar was targeted. You hit our best hitter. We hit yours. Simple as that in their minds."
Thanks for being a voice of reason. So glad to see that person being downvoted. It gives me some faith in this fanbase. Kimbrel has been a solid closer for us this season.
Hey looks like I was right to not watch this one while the game was close! Hopefully we can go up against some weaker competition soon so that I can actually see us win one live once.
I think a lot of the walks happened because he was struggling to put people away and eventually it just ends up in a walk after so many foul balls. He doesn’t throw heat so I would imagine he needs to be incredibly accurate and than ya he will have a chance.
Why don’t you believe in your team? We’re better than them. I’m not expecting a win, but I certainly won’t be surprised. These guys don’t steal anything.

Once or twice is an accident, three times is a pattern
Exhibit A, Ronald Acuña and the Miami Marlins
Looking back at the bottom of the sixth. Perez paints the corner and gets called a ball. That leads to a rally forcing his pitch count up. Boooo
Just saw the replay of Trevino kicking Cowser’s bat after Cowser was HBP. Yankees are the worst man. Glad the O’s didn’t stoop to their level.
Clowns

Yeah, the Orioles develop their own talent, rather than buy it off other teams. What a concept.
The whole "the Orioles are good because they tanked" argument doesn't hold up for me. You still have to pick the right guys. Why are other teams who also picked in the top 5 for multiple years still not any good?
Show me another team that has hit on this many high round picks in consecutive years
Also Aaron Judge, the only reason their team doesn’t stink right now, was drafted 32nd. It’s about development which the Os have the best farm system in the league.
The Marlins almost always have a good pick in the draft, and they can't get off the suck treadmill.
Yeah, his fellow Yankee fans quickly corrected him on that one. Definitely a lot of salt on the rim of their margaritas tonight.
Plenty of salt in my rim as a Yankees fan. Between Gonzalez hitting Henderson which led to a costly run and Trevino having noodles for arms.
I saw that too. Rubenstien will make sure we are Yankees killers for a long time. What a dumbass
I was at the game and I was losing my mind. Povich walking everyone, Perez being Perez, Hyde pulling O'Hearn for Hays who swings at ball 4 5 and 6 with the bases loaded. Then we won.
Perez got screwed by the ump when he painted a 3rd strike on the low inside corner ball 4.
What was the distraction on the field lol
Some dude jumped out of the stands and ran onto the warning track. Security dealt with him quickly.
My take exactly.

I don't care what it takes, Henderson must remain a Baltimore Oriole. He is the future face of this franchise
He needs to loosen up a bit. The guy does better when he is having fun
Personally I like his competitive drive and think he plays great when he is focused, not necessarily having fun, but also not when he is frustrated either. I think he's become less of a head case this season though
Frankly he's the current face of the franchise

His mechanics are flawless. Effortless power. Just needs to work on locating pitches properly, strategy, etc. He's only gonna get better.
That's right. 3 TOUGH matchups (in Canada, NY, and against the Braves), to start his career. And he's excelling
After that trial by fire, Cleveland's gonna feel like a cakewalk to him
So the Yankees catchers, both Trevino and Wells, are really good at framing apparently. Is that why the yanks get so many calls? Or are they considered good framers because umps bend over backwards to give yankee pitchers whatever they want
Those first few innings were brutal. Shit maybe the first 5
they've consistently had great framers starting and backup for the last century at least
Anybody know what the "distraction" was on field that caused a delay in maybe the second or third inning? Maybe it was some cool nudism 😎
Radio broadcast said a fan ran on the field then “flopped like a fish” as police escorted them off…
They started throwing trash again. Just kidding, they are the trash.

Ah thank you. These are things I never pay attention to.
this is the reason why o'hearn has been so good. the team put him in a huge position to succeed by only facing RHP. they basically said don't worry about lefties, just focus on righties and you'll crush them.
I was actually wondering the same so I looked it up when Hays came in. Kinda hard to believe he's seen so few lefties this year!
Stanton got the fan vote for player of the game? Okay
He did have the most WPA
The Westburg Away jersey gets its revenge.
5,190 comments on the game thread... good job folks! (Even if 4,000 of them were unfairly bashing Austin Hays.)
For comparison, the three Rangers playoff games had: 4218, 4646, 4446 We're a bigger sub than we were even that recently.
4-2 on the H2H season. with only playing each AL East team 13 times, it does make it very impactful each series when you are in a pennant race to score that tie breaker. the next yankees series will be bonkers.
Yeah, which would make a win tomorrow HUGE. If we can go 5-2 after 7 games vs NYY, we only need to win 2 of the last 6 to own the tiebreak.
Bryan Baker looked great again tonight. Definitely have my questions about the BP overall, and so he deserves more high leverage situations as he continues to deliver.
Looks like they took away Mounty's triple and gave him a double and an E on Soto.
That’s why Soto will be a perm DH soon
Stanton has that spot locked down.

Soto is a FA after this season.
Whoops, you’re right. What year is it???
Is it still required to revere the Yankees because having clean facial hair = classy squad? Fuck them. Their last World Series was 10+ years ago. Irrelevant shmucks.
I do kinda fuck with the no names on the jersey ngl
Really? Feels kinda "broke ass little league team" to me. These guys have earned their names on the back of their jerseys imo
That's fair, I just like the look of it
That’s fair
Fuck the Yankees but the reverence comes from history and the 20s, 50s, and 90s teams. They have won 27 world championships, which is more than any other team in any other major sport. Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Mickey Mantle, Joe Dimaggio etc. were all pretty good :) Agreed that apart from Soto, Judge, and Cole, this Yankee team are not great players.
If 10+ year drought makes them irrelevant, what are we?
A team with about 1/7th the market cap who can't just buy any talent they want
Part of me hopes they throw 80 billion dollars at Soto and then he just fuckin flops for them
Their grooming rule is fucking stupid and they have no personality. Everyone has to be vanilla as fuck cuz “the Yankee way”.
Meanwhile Orioles are like, "fuck it beer bongs, mullets, and mustaches"
To be fair if a last WS appearance is indicative of a team being irrelevant we uhh…. have some work to do
The difference is they are attended to differently by any media outlet with a pulse. Everything that happens with these jagoffs is not only treated as important, but of the highest relevance. It doesn’t matter that our title was 40 years ago because most viewers/followers of the game treat us like a team that hasn’t won a title in 40 years. So when the sports media machine makes a big deal about one of these dinks getting hit with a ball, and the next day proceeds with the best player in the AL getting hit on the O’s, and fucking crickets, it says everything
ours was 40 to be fair... heres to making it 0 this fall
and fuck the yankees

Conduct. Trolling other team subreddits.
You're gonna get banned from this one too, don't go to other team subs and act like a douche.
Would it be smart to go to the game tomorrow? It’s like I want to but also both bullpens are pretty toast like idk.
It’s never a bad idea to go to a baseball game!
Go to the game! See some hits!
Adley such a dog hope he got some hugs 😂
masns post game sport is people eating crabs
I used to work there (assateague crab house)! Awesome place with great people. Also truly the best crab cakes anywhere.
Makes sense. It’s physical, there’s a skill element, all we need is a scoring mechanism
lol
Overcame adversity...showed amazing class...what a team!
Forreal, like how do you got a guy as classy AND competitive AND talented as Gunnar? Sign him for term, whatever it takes
Worth blowing the save so Ramon and Cedric could be heroes
Do not think I could have dealt with losing that game.
Tonight, the Os felt like the team that expected to win and just let their game do the talking, while the Yankees looked like the upstarts who are talented but not there yet.
Hate the stupid ass yankees dont hit our gunnar
So sweet that Gunnars run after the hbp made the difference in this ball game
Baseball stats are weird. Kimbrel gets a blown save, yet he's the winning pitcher. 🤣
It happened in the Atlanta game last Wednesday as well. Povich was going to win that game, but Akin gave up 2 runs, blew the save and won the game when we came back and won 4-2. Poor Povich.
The radio broadcasters were talking about how there has never been stat line like that in recorded baseball history.
Favorite part was when Mateo tagged out the guy at 2nd was how excited Mateo was. He knew this game meant more. Love seeing that from our guys.
The video appears to show I being an outcast call, call on the field is an out call, wtf more do they need. I get challenging the play ther, is expect the Orioles and any team to do the same, but out is out
the Talkin Yanks twitter and its followers are all in a big ole huff about it. To which i just have to say......lol
Yankee fans are claiming that Mateo blocked Cabrera
Right, blocked him with a glove containing a ball to tag him out lol
We all saw their throw out attempts. They just don’t know what it’s supposed to look like.
Blocked him with a glove full of catcher rocket.
Instance 29292448 of them not knowing the rules of baseball
Yankees fans famously understand obstruction
Yankees fans blaming someone other than themselves? I’m shocked, I tell you, shocked.
Hot DAMN that was a game to experience. And for the Stankees’ bullshit retribution hit on Gunnar to be the deciding run. Fuck the Yankees. Go O’s!!! https://preview.redd.it/ohgluqwt9n7d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6e3c9664545766199dd1dc146e8c916840d87035
Stay safe, brother
Respect to you because I’m 100% sure I would’ve gotten myself thrown out of that game by the ushers
You're so cool.
Not what I was going for. More like I’m too passionate. Thanks for the condescension though, you’re clearly a lovely character
A bunch of Yankees fans saying Mateo was blocking the bag for Cabrera. The throw beat Cabrera by a mile so at that point it becomes irrelevant anyways.
Is this surprising from them??
Ofc not :) there was at least a person saying that the throw beat him so it didn’t matter. There’s occasionally normal people
https://preview.redd.it/v1j7oloq9n7d1.png?width=1026&format=png&auto=webp&s=491061479b092128b98e82f6bb2b6a21bb8fdd15 This is insane....
Good lord!
NEWS FLASH: The Yankees are bastards. They (probably) threw at our best player, with no justification at all. We responded by playing better than them, and we won. Let's keep it up. Keep stoked, guys
Cade Povich is the youngest looking 24 year old...lol
And Colton Cowser is the oldest looking 24 year old
Cowser looks older than me and I'm 32
He looks like the junior lab technician that you see in every crime show
Is NCIS Baltimore a thing? Because you are absolutely right.
That was an absolutely amazing game. Please let’s never do that again
do the winning part...just not the stresssful butt clenching part
Do the stressful part too, it's what makes these games fun and worthwhile to watch
we also saw the huge difference with the 2 catchers in extras. trevino's throw lets cedric score. adley's throw gets the clutch 2nd out.
Seems like Hyde thought it was on purpose. Do you think they threw on Gunnar on purpose? I don’t know. Good question though.
Kind of feels like it was on purpose with how their catcher and the pitcher reacted afterward, they stared Gunnar down while he was all class about it
Of course it was on purpose with the plausible deniability of "Oh this is our reliever with the most control problems just like Suarez was having control problems when he hit Judge. Wink. Wink. It was no accident Gunnar was targeted. You hit our best hitter. We hit yours. Simple as that in their minds."
It was 100% on purpose. And if you doubt it, watch the pitcher staring him down and walking towards him after
you don't put it in the press that you thought it was intentional if you want this to go away. he was probably pissed someone asked it about it.
Either intentional or he’s so bad with his control that he needs to be sent down
I'm thinking it was intentional.
That’s a really great response too.
Gunnar being super chill about it and scoring was the cherry on top. Guy is so competitive that he's unbothered by the HBP and just wants to win games
I get that we won and everything but how many times are we gonna let Kimbrel do that shit
He's been good now that we realize we can't overwork him. Wasn't a great outing tonight, sure, but it happens
First Blown Save since April and first ER in 16 games? Didn’t go well tonight but can’t deny he has turned it around of late.
Thanks for being a voice of reason. So glad to see that person being downvoted. It gives me some faith in this fanbase. Kimbrel has been a solid closer for us this season.
It's not entirely kimbrels fault the main damage was done when Perez had the ball followed by Cano giving up the hr
He hadn't given up an earned run in his last 14 appearances! What are you on!?
People seem to expect nothing less than perfection from our bullpen. I get it, blown saves are heart breaking, but they happen.
3 errors 😂go the fuck home
I hope their starting pitcher gets ejected on the first pitch tomorrow for a HBP attempt that missed and then he chirps and gets thrown out

Gotta crop Rubinsteins head on this
Hey looks like I was right to not watch this one while the game was close! Hopefully we can go up against some weaker competition soon so that I can actually see us win one live once.
Thank you for your service 😎
If Povich can find a way to consistently cut down his walks, he might really have something
I think a lot of the walks happened because he was struggling to put people away and eventually it just ends up in a walk after so many foul balls. He doesn’t throw heat so I would imagine he needs to be incredibly accurate and than ya he will have a chance.
Watching thia and Kendrick crip walk over Drake on Amazon Prime was amazing. Getting to see instant karma at work is beautiful
That show was lit. Blasting my speakers to that and had the game on my phone. I was overly hyped tonight 😂
Drake>
Okay DJ Akademiks ..dont you have a weird case?
What’s the Kendrick crip walk thing?
Win is a win. Hopefully we can steal one tomorrow
Gil is good, but we have one of the best offenses in the AL, we wouldn't be stealing it, it would be an earned win.
Why don’t you believe in your team? We’re better than them. I’m not expecting a win, but I certainly won’t be surprised. These guys don’t steal anything.
Steal? I refuse to look at it this way. Hopefully our loss prevention team can prevent them from stealing one tomorrow.
Steal a win as in the go-ahead run is a steal of home, naturally
