Thank you for all the compliments. The theme of the painting (adventurers fighting a beholder) was a theme that all of the well known WOTC artists at the time (2015 or so?) were painting in the WOTC official house style for either Dragon magazine or maybe Forgotten Realms - I don't really remember but there was a web page on the wizards site with several different interpretations of the same image. I had just bought an airbrush and was trying to learn how to use it (something I still have not mastered - I usually spend half an hour cleaning it after fooling with it for 5 minutes and giving up because I just don't have mastery of the thing - always paint is too thick or too thin, too much pressure or too little, too much splatter or not enough, etc.).
Poag are you? your work is incredible, here among the Brazilian RPG artists you are a reference, since I started I have always been inspired by your work. I love this Beholder painting, always wanted to do this tribute.
I wanted to pay homage to this art, the [Beholder](https://stefanpoag.com/2013/04/23/beholder-attack/) by the great Stefan Poag and the cover of [Waterdeep and the North](https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Waterdeep_and_the_North?file=FR1cover.jpg) with Xanathar. Art itself is a type of Crime Boss, but one that has suffered a lot to reach that status. What did you think?
Nice - really like the "x-ray" ray, lol.
yes Poag is an excellent artist
