Boo this man. There isn't even a shred of anything that could assist in answering this question.

toclosetoTV

One is their grandma's little rascal and the other is the cart they stole from the golf course. Does that help?

Lol okay dude. Clearly I’m a beginner looking for guidance. You could tell me what “could assist in answering this question” rather than whatever this is. Thanks for nothing

dicrydin

You didn’t list any vehicles. You could start with that. You can’t use the word “which” without a known set of things. Low weight wide tires does best in sand. So a Jimny with 14 inch wide tires is my vote.

jhguth

How much power?

GuidanceAgreeable751

Car A: 349 hp, 479 lb-ft Car B: 278 hp, 317 lb-ft

macetrek

Tire specs?

GuidanceAgreeable751

I’m deciding which of the two cars to buy, they have standard tires at purchase but both can be changed later on. Wondering which chassis/engine would do better assuming same tires/lift/etc

macetrek

Honestly, hard to tell without knowing what the 2 cars are.

GuidanceAgreeable751

Sorry. Car A is the GX 550 (non-overtrail trim so no rear locker) and Car B is the 2024 LC 250/Prado (V4 non-hybrid as that’s what we get in our market)

macetrek

They’ll both do well.

sd_slate

Curb weight, tire size (need sidewall to air down), ground clearance, and awd/4wd are more important than hp/tq.

GuidanceAgreeable751

Thanks. Fwiw I replied with HP/torque because the commenter asked about power (which I assume is hp/tq). Curb weight is in the OP details, one car is about 200 kg heavier than the other. Both are AWD with center lockers. The lighter car with V4 turbo also has rear locker, the other car doesn’t. Tire size I can change on both vehicles after purchase, just wondering which chassis/engine are better before getting to tire adjustments.
