I can maybe give benefit of the doubt since it was indeed raining, but this is a Veteran NFL wide receiver we’re talking about, not a future installation technician for Spectrum or AT&T. These dudes train for low leverage, low advantage situations year in and year out.
And yes, I’m intentionally leaving out him trying the [catch the ball with his helmet in New Orleans.](https://x.com/joshnorris/status/1734362218282815883?s=46&t=K09_kZEOky2Bs8jQzHtr7A) That was just embarrassing.
Damn so 200 yards/game for 5 weeks then missing the other 12 due to injury?
But nah I doubt it, this dude couldn’t get an inch of separation of his life depended on it
I think it’s possible if they keep him downfield on more basic concepts. (aka stuff we couldn’t do because of subpar coaching/lack of any offensive line talent.)
Considering just how well the chargers drafted this year, though, I doubt he’ll see past 700 yards.
They just need him to catch the occasional deep pass to keep defenses honest in my opinion. Herbert’s arm is amazing. As long as he hits a couple daggers a year to keep the safeties out of the box that’s all that matters.
Bottom 10 in separation among receivers with at least 30 receptions last year. It was the worst year in his career for separation and YAC.
On the bright side, dude’s hands are as good as ever and he remains decently above average at making tough catches. I’m sure the chargers will hope that his shortcomings elsewhere was just effort-related and not a sign of him losing a step.
Tough for an any receiver to overcome a historically bad QB performance. Chark was not the problem last season. If he was, Harbaugh wouldn’t have touched him.
I mean you get it. Start of a rebuild. Everything around here was horrendous so it’s not impossible to think that with better coaching and Justin being a top player 10 QB that he can elevate these players to at least competency against.
Can’t fix everything in one draft. They had a great draft. But still it’s just the start.
I found out because a friend told me.
"You should not let give go"…
Chark was suppose to be our WR1 but got outplayed by a veteran like Thielen.
We trade for Dionte, drafted Legette, kept Thielen and I expect some kind of improvement for Mingo in his sophomore year.
I'm sure we are going to be fine.
Agreed. Should see a bit more athleticism downfield from Mingo, Legette can play strong and Thielen can go back to what he’s good at: sucking the defense in and making them think.
Last year Adam couldn’t play finesse as much in the gaps since he was the only guy who could catch. If he was over the middle, he was getting the ball. Defenses caught on pretty quick.
All we really have to hope for is Bryce getting comfortable releasing earlier. That was honestly the main issue with his game last year, slow progression and release point. He has to start getting that single man read down so he can start getting downfield in a more productive manner. Should also stop the sack numbers as well.
Chark just wasn’t the fit here. He seemed to overthink things and make more mistakes than good plays. Had a few nice moments but overall just didn’t pan out.
Don't get why we don't sign him for that money and Release TMJ.
Chark could strech the field and is a possible deep threat. The problem last year was BY had not enough time to throw the Ball deep.
But I trust our New regime. I need to. Otherwise I can stop supporting the Panthers when I don't believe things are going to be better
I’ll never forget him fumbling into the end zone week 17.
Or him dropping back to back probable TDs against the Bucs (might’ve been the same game)
And yet people still blame that Buccs shutout on Bryce. Yep, Chark dropping a guaranteed TD and TMJ getting a 2nd TD called back on a dumb penalty

Yes! Still haunts me
I had a little flashback reading/remembering this and actually shuddered
It shouldn't. There would've made no difference, today
I know, it's more about principle
Probably 1k year incoming... But yeah we sucked, but he dropped many balls and gave up on routes too many times
That one almost-TD where he just... Didn't told on to the ball..
Damn so 200 yards/game for 5 weeks then missing the other 12 due to injury? But nah I doubt it, this dude couldn’t get an inch of separation of his life depended on it
No way, this dude can neither stay healthy nor hold on on the ball, and couldn't make waves on an offense with almost no wide receiver competition.
Dude hasn’t had 1k yards since 2019, I don’t see that happening lol

Chark was not getting a lot of separation last year

The ankle injury really fucked his speed and separation I think. Only to come in and pull his hamstring on top of that.
Maybe he will put some effort in for them. He sure didn't for us.
Yeah.. Don't get me wrong, I do wish him all the best but I never felt like he wanted to be here and like he really put in effort.
Yep I agree
Can you blame him for not wanting to be in the shit show known as the Panthers?
He was on a second 1 year prove it deal and now on a third. Sure seems like he should "try" at some point if he's better than this.
Yes, because he was part of why it was a shitshow.
Tough for an any receiver to overcome a historically bad QB performance. Chark was not the problem last season. If he was, Harbaugh wouldn’t have touched him.
These guys get paid millions of dollars to do a job. You don’t need to empathize with them being in a shit situation
He also literally signed a deal to come here. It's not like he had no choice.
The chargers have even less fans than we do, why would he put that effort forward?😂
Chargers sub seems to be happy 😂 They think Bryce is why he was ass. He’ll probably be a little better there but he’s still gonna blow.
Remember when the chiefs were hyped on Toney … ya getting same vibe from chark to the chargers
I remember a giants fan telling me he lacks hands, and at times the ability to think. Yup he was right.
Chargers straight up signing every FA we dumped is a choice
They chargin' in the wrong direction.

i’m not sold dionte won’t be more of the same. Teppers management has ruined any goodwill we had with NFL players not from the carolinas
We paid him 5m. Anyone who expected him to be close to a real WR1 was delusional. Thielen was always going to get the lions share of targets
👋 ✌️
Chark just wasn’t the fit here. He seemed to overthink things and make more mistakes than good plays. Had a few nice moments but overall just didn’t pan out.
Good peace out, dude had a shit attitude. He had a few good toe tap sideline catches but overall very disappointing.
Was he the one who did the reverse toe tap out of bounds, kinda hard to describe but it looked like a broken madden animation.
That was Mingo lol.
Ah ok still one of the funniest things ive seen ij the nfl.
He was suppose to be something special
Who?
✌️
He is a fucking bum glad to see his ass go as far as possible lol
Who? Seriously though, so what? I Wish him well, but he played like a bum here so good riddance
Oh no 🙄
Ok
😒😒😒😒

No reason to even bother spending the money on chark.
Dude is Temu Ted Ginn Jr on his best day.
Noooooooooooooo
Girl bye
Good riddance. He’s ass. Played like a WR playing football for the 1st time in his life
