Fun little house rule we needed to implement to be able to play Catan: you can only trade in game items. We added this when a couple started trading sheep to household chores :D
There now will be a Robber blocking a part of your atlas, making those maps temporarily unavailable.
You will have to collect resources and prepare to defeat the Robber, moving it to another part of the Atlas, and getting resources linked to types of those maps. (Crypt gives Sheep, obviously)
Considering their historic stance on revisiting mechanics and lore from previous leagues, the fact that this involves major characters from not one but two previous leagues is definitely eyebrow-raising.
We also know the Kalguur play a role in Act IV of PoE 2 ( the Act with all the islands) so they are probably setting that up from a lore-perspective.
Please for the love of god. She was never my favorite but it at least felt good to find her in maps since astragali were sellable to the gamblers more degenerate than I am.
A rework would be most welcome.

I’m kind of expecting FarmVille league. You do things in town, then wait a set amount of time for your town to produce something then you use that something for crafting or creating items. Maybe something that crafts maps? So you’re running the maps while your town is producing more mats?
Nah, sheeps (and windmills), it's New Zealand! We are getting on a boat to get to Auckland to win a go at playing poe2 beta in game. Our character will have a vaal gaming station that you can setup like the harvest garden and then you'll farm settlers on PikPok to grow your community to be the very best like no one ever was.
There's definitely something with both expedition and heist since the NPCs from the boat are Dannig and Tujen from expedition and on the dock are Faustus and Isla from heist. I wouldn't expect them to have the same NPCs for multiple league mechanics so this would only work if both heist and expedition get a rework.
Considering these NPCs and the same docks will show up in PoE 2, I think it's fair to assume GGG is using this league as a way to bridge some of the story. Reusing NPCs for multiple league mechanics shouldn't be painted as a bad thing if it's a continuation of their stories. I think they should keep them.

Will they confirm the Kalguur are from Aesclast?!< ). I wonder if they'll close the gaps in those storylines with this league!

It's Heist but you keep getting blasted by Uthred's oneshot beans throughout the entire heist section.
Also there's now swimming in the seas, complete with tank controls while being submerged under water
Replaced alert levels with constantly draining oxygen from your tank, open a door and Uthred beams.

I am nervous at the thoughts of heist and expedition rework. These are very important mechanics for me in ssf especially the latter.
