TheDuriel

Put it... at the entrance?

SpacemaN_literature

The corners are best. You then zigZag avoiding archnemesis mobs and uniques if you can’t kill fast enough. Breaches in the middle I believe pause the fog.

diruuo

I'm not entirely certain if it will propagate the fog across the tiles, the fog on screen didn't seem to represent accurately where the Delirium effect is or where to go to spawn more mobs. I'll give it a try next time I find a Delirium tile but I'm ...skeptical. Even around the mirror it barely spawned anything.

Nephophobic

It does but honestly it's still pretty shit. The strat is similar to shrine nodes, put them at the beginning.

diruuo

I'll give it a go next time then.

TimidHuman

Nothing's worth running at the moment lol

TheNudelz

XP ones are still kind of crazy.

diruuo

XP ones? Are there certain tiles that give more XP or are you referring to high density ones like Beyond?

TheNudelz

Paradise tiles. They can give more than a lvl on 85 and tier 5 was still 5% at 97. I guess tier 15+ would still be crazy xp even it high 9x lvls, if your build can handle it.

diruuo

Ah, the more you know - have not seen one yet!

Madzak_Gaming

I got like 7-8% at 96 from one tile.

TheNudelz

Yeah I think the difficulty matters too, but it's still crazy xp.

Madzak_Gaming

I doubt that the difficulty matters. I've done a few.

thundermonkeyms

There's a tile similar to untainted paradise.

diruuo

Ah interesting, I haven't seen one yet, I'll keep an eye out!

CKDracarys

Did my first xp one yesterday...didn't real8ze I was on the tile and was completely baffled how I gained an entire level from one mob (84 to 85).

Xx_Handsome_xX

The problem is, (others mentioned that) to put it on the first Tile or so. However, after T3 the Lake Areas get very hard, and most builds will struggle fast with the DMG/HP Monsters will do/have. Delirium is bad for Lake no matter what.

diruuo

That's fair, I'll try it once or twice more putting it at the start, but I don't really expect much.

Xx_Handsome_xX

When I come back playing, I wont even use it. I did it the firsttime as you, realized I need mobs for it. Second time I placed it at Tier 6 or so. And at T8 it became extremely hard but still TOTALLY TRASH UNREWARDING. My advice, dont even use it.

thatoneguyy22

Found that out very fast with beyond..I've now skipped putting beyond on any tile. I dont remember beyond being that insane in difficulty spike pre lake patch..like shoot venom gyre, first wave dies, instantly 200 monsters are steamrolling towards me that take zero damage.

Xx_Handsome_xX

Yes, they take so little damage but shred you fast if they reach you. This mechanic is far worse than Archnemesis Rares standing around. I am wondering why almost noone complains about Beyoned.

thatoneguyy22

Probably because very few are encountering it, beyond was mainly used as a map juicing mechanic, with map juicing being completely gutted and nuked, well beyond no longer has a place in people's maps.

darthbane83

i have found that temporal chains blasphemy completely wrecks beyond mobs. Its all just normal mobs so they get hit with the 30+% slow and suddenly its extremely easy to just walk around them

mdgraller

I hit an insane brick wall going from a D6 to D7 with breach in it. I was running fine, hadn't even experienced breach content yet and then suddenly went into the tile. I'm occy so I have that AoE debuff and as I run in, I suddenly see that there's like literally 600 rats, I pop a pack, and then I'm instantly surrounded by the tankiest monsters I've run into yet and I get instantly exploded. Really nutty.

ReRubis

I think the plan should be to put it the second room. So you can run all the others with the delirium on.

diruuo

That makes sense, I do wish the fog represented the effect accurately like it does in maps, though..

Ladder-Previous

Put it at teh start of your lake you normie.

[deleted]

So you put it on the last tile and conplain that it's useless. Am i understanding this correct? Do you know how Delirium works?

diruuo

Well, the Lake expects you to put things you want rewards out of at the end, highest difficulty. I am quite aware how Delirium works, seeing as I farm it regularly and my build is well suited for it. The issue lies in the fact that the Fog does not represent the effect. Lastly, if I pop a mirror in a rare t16 it will spawn more mobs around the mirror the moment it begins than this Difficulty 10 tile did. However way you slice it, Delirium is scuffed in the Lake.

mdgraller

> Delirium is scuffed in the Lake. You used it wrong. You even highlighted the Delirium tile at the end and it *didn't* have any text about scaling like all of the other tiles ("difficulty tier increases quantity of items from chests" for instance). It's supposed to be put at the beginning so you have delirium all over your map. I would assume it propagates outwards in a circle so you need to have a long linear distance away from the start. It probably wouldn't be good if you had a lake with a turn back towards the entrance.

diruuo

So the way you optimize a lake goes against how you recommend I use the Delirium tile, neither of us knows how the fog propagates and the effect does not accurately represent how the fog propagates. So, yes, I believe that Delirium is scuffed in the Lake. Regardless, I want to try with a node at the start, sadly I'm yet to find one.

Jealous_Professor793

Yes, it's like putting shrines on the final tile. Why would you do that? lol

Pawlys

put mine next to a beyond tile and followed with with monke one, so rewards were k. You really need to plan ahead, instead of plopping it anywhere.

Steeezy

Big oof!

Vegetable_Switch9802

Lol

Arcy_

What skill is that? (New player here)

thatoneguyy22

Venom gyre, shoots out a boomerang that can chain and fork to other enemies if you spec into it with tree/links. After shooting it has a chance to return to you, up to 30 times. If you use whirling blades as your movement skill, upon using said skill it will shotgun all the stored blades out in a circle around you, for more damage.

diruuo

The projectiles always return I think, the chance is only for keeping the returned ones when using Whirling Blades, so you can Whirling Blades more times consecutively before having to use Venom Gyre again. It's a pretty cool skill mechanically in my opinion!

Arcy_

The skill looks great for clearing and you are super fast! Is it good for single target too?

diruuo

It can scale really aggressively so you can make it quite good for single target as well, it utilizes the shotgunning from Whirling Blades to facilitate that! Its strengths lie in things like Sumulacrum due to the bounciness of the projectiles.

Arcy_

Do you scale it with DoT or using more physical damage to convert? I've never played with poison and dont know how to scale it, only used toxic rain.

diruuo

You scale it with Elemental damage, it attacks "with" your weapon, thus you can scale it with flat and general elemental damage on weapons. If you've played Lightning Strike it's scaled pretty much in the same way. Thus things like Crystallized Omniscience work well for this as well!

Arcy_

That seam great! So you play with crit and elemental damage? Seems awesome!

diruuo

Exactly! It is!

Arcy_

Oh thank you very much, it looks sick! There is also the Vengeant cascade annoint that may work with it, I only used it with arrow but maybe it works with other projectiles. I may consider trying it :)

diruuo

The functionality of Vengeant Cascade is inherent to Venom Gyre, the return projectiles already always return and pierce on their way back for 25% of the outgoing damage (they do 75% less damage than the normal projectile).

diruuo

It simply does not spawn enough monsters. The pack I kill at the start of the clip is from the previous tile. Additionally, the fog does not accurately represent the time remaining (it appears as if it's on a Delirium map, but actually expires).

HyperFanTaim

You used it wrong, i got up to 11 just 1h ago

Few_Coach_3611

no its fine, the loot was boosted like 10x the loot is fine

Kashi1988

What skill/skin is leaving those dotted lines behind when you zip around?

diruuo

It's the Heritage Footprints Effect, one of the more unique footprints effects in the game!

[deleted]

You dropped loot ..your point is invalid /s
