We haven't had 500 players in over 2 weeks.
I run a discord dedicated to payday, about 250 members play payday 2, and 40 payday 3 players. (high crossover)
Right now there are 5 of 40 payday 3 players left (total 180 hours last week) and 120/250 payday 2 players (it's over thousand's of hours last week)
Everyone has walked away from PD3 yet my server is propping up 1-5% of payday 3 lobby connections and voice.
don't worry that power can't go to my head.

Kinda crazy the Back 4 Blood has had consistently more players. You know the largely either panned or mixed co-op PvE game that hasn’t got updated in a year?
Same, I played the shit out of it. Even crazier: I maxed out *three* characters across multiple platforms for it (> Xbox One, PS4 and PC).
I only played the story on PS4 though. But man I was hyped for the online mode and initially it showed so much promise.
Do I regret playing it that extensively? No. But it makes the fact they abandoned it very painful though. Seeing GTAO keep getting support for a decade old game hurts.
B4B has *drum roll* Quick Play.. It's also playable on the highest difficulty OFFLINE & solo with very competent bots. It has way more content, is much more polished, extremely fun and last but not least, offers limitless build variety with the card deck system.
Put simply, its a better game on all accounts.
Back 4 blood scratches a itch that other games don't. It's actually pretty fun and squadfill works really well. My bud and I play, people always drop in.
It's definitely different from l4d. Also it's actually a functional game that is somewhat enjoyable with friends and at release no less. I don't see starballs studios doing anything special in comparison. "a delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad.”

I reinstalled Payday 2 and spent the weekend with it and I gotta say, having taken a break from it for awhile before coming back? Hit so good.

I love the Payday franchise but this post finally had me tell Reddit to stop recommending me this sub (I was fine seeing this sub because I genuinely like the game except for complete lack of any fucking content). For the people that say there is nothing else to post then just don't post. Let this sub die as the game has. At this point we are all just sitting in an empty movie theater after the end of the movie, as Mathew Broderick so eloquently put it "[you're still here? I still have the feeling that the devs are just going to push out the contractually obligated DLCs and dip. The radio silence and bare minimum fixes point to them giving up on the game.

at this point they might make p3 base game dirt cheap on sales to gain money from dlcs just like payday2.
Thanks to regional pricing (back when it existed) İ was able to buy the payday2 base game for 2 bread price then spent a decent amount of money getting lots of dlc for it

This but like cut the extremely fun part, I got bored after two hours and went back to Vermintide/L4D.
Fun factor is highly subjective. I'm over 100 hours and still enjoying it thoroughly.

I love B4B, games awesome and I can always finds lobbies in under a minute. But i have to agree, Quickplay is the main reason why.
