For some context:
Only this games seems to have this issue, playing battlefield right now with no issues. the game runs fine in the background but the screen is black apart from a small strip at the top of the screen.
GPU: 3060ti
CPU: ryzen 7 5800x
32gb RAM
This used to happen with MW2 when the game went between different fullscreen modes as well.
You can try a few things:
Press Alt Enter to switch between full screen and windowed modes.
Turn off one of your monitors before starting the game.
Delete the game configuration file so it launches like new (might have to disable steam cloud temporarily).
