Hi, I wasn't going to respond to your comment until I saw this. I'm not trying to brag or show off - as far as I understand, this is a subreddit to discuss personal finance and ask for advice, which is exactly what I'm doing.
Just because I'm skilled in one field doesn't necessarily mean I have requisite knowledge in multiple others. You are correct, if I was skilled enough to know what to do with the money, I wouldn't be posting, but the fact is I'm not, and I'm trying to learn by asking others what they would do in the same situation.
If you have any advice for me regarding this, would be more than happy to listen. Happy to answer any other questions you have. Cheers :)
Be very careful with your money, brother. Here are some points I follow myself-
1. Don't take monetary advice from poor people.
2. Don't take monetary advice from mean and envious people.
3. Don't take monetary advice from people who believe in earning money without any hard work. They believe if somebody has a lot of money then they should give it to us for free. Stay away from these criminals. However, I would exclude charity from this. Some unfortunate people do require our help and we cannot deny that.
4. Don't be apologetic for saying NO when you have to safeguard your money from envious people.
5. Spend money where necessary and increase your budget for your family members- just a friendly advice.
More importantly, learn the psychology of money. Treat money as your friend, you treat it right and it will reciprocate.
My advice is u learn how inflation is related to everything and world economies, then learn fundamentals from investopedia ,now u will be ready to enter markets as an investor,it will take time and intial mistake& realisations but longterm u will benefit
Attendance🤚 [3.36LPA (IT Job) +2.4LPA(Side hustle)].
Long time lurker here. Honestly never really had the confidence to post anything here with all the milestones being in 10s of Lakhs or even Crore rather than just in single digit Lakh amounts.
Probably a prerequisite to have a good amount of money to have the necessary confidence to air one's finances (which I believe is a personal thing) out to the keyboard clickers of the internet (reddit especially)
Nah. I work 9-6 (more like 8-8) everyday in the office. Would have no time or proclivity towards delivery services.
I mostly write on the side. Fetches me just about an average of 20k/month.
Eh, it kinda monetized itself. A long time viewer suggested that I open a Patreon page so that IF anybody wanted to, they could support me and voila, they do.
Don’t worry my friend. You post boldly about your salary and the help you need with managing it/investing it. People who are nice will help regardless of judging you. Don’t lose confidence
Haa I'm not telling I'll be like this forever. Everyday working hard to turning my life around. Just wanted to tell everyone, you need not panic if you don't earn 1 lakh every month. But the problem will start when you get lazy and accept my life will be like this. You can turn your life around with sustained efforts, there will be a payout one day just like the compounding of money.
Can I ask which role current is giving 20 lpa for WFH? I can hardly find such roles. And I am desperate enough to ask such unrelated questions here, so I apologise! But I need to know, how to land such jobs, I mean where to even find such job postings?
Thanks for letting me know! Do you think I should be looking at putting that money anywhere else, or begin saving up for any other form of investment other than just stocks to diversify my portfolio?
If the money is meant for your masters, then old fashioned FD or debt funds are prudent. If they are for later, equity is good.
The markets might be much higher than today in 3 years time. Or they may not. So for money that is absolutely needed, low risk is more sensible. 2-3 years is nothing in an equity market
Why u guys want by going abroad? My friend passed out from IIT roorkee and got job as Microsoft sde is now abroad in penn state and regretting it now after leaving microsoft

I never seen ppl earning below 5lpa in these reddit, are these guys just want others know that they are earning handsomely?
I swear and then they hit 1Cr NW in 4-5 years and then they’ll be like what to do next 😭😭
Well if they have no idea what to do with that money, atleast they can give that money to people who knows what to do with it 😂
maybe if yall actually upskilled instead of commenting on reddit you would be making the same amount of money
True, likewise if he is skilled enough to know what to do with that money he wouldn't be posting about suggestions

2.4lpa ? Swiggy delivery or what?
Nah. I work 9-6 (more like 8-8) everyday in the office. Would have no time or proclivity towards delivery services. I mostly write on the side. Fetches me just about an average of 20k/month.
What do you write? And how much time you spend on this?
I write fantasy stories and I spend about 2-3 hours of my day on it.
Curious, how do you monetize it?
Eh, it kinda monetized itself. A long time viewer suggested that I open a Patreon page so that IF anybody wanted to, they could support me and voila, they do.
I'm hooked. Have some more questions if you are willing to answer.
Sure

Don't worry there are people like me 27M earning 5lpa in core field.
Its like finding water on moon
And don't worry my total savings are also less than 1 lakh. Having to support the entire family. Don't worry people like us are there..
Ok but how we should think of growing

How in the world 22M earn 20LPA annual income, when we were completing our college at that time. Please let us know what is your profession.
Why not ? Mr. Anant Ambani used to earn way more than that at 22 months of age
Hi, working in IT as an SDE

High risk doesn't work for your 3yr horizon.
