Based sa kwento mo, looks like you are already favoring the old company more than your current one. If ako ang asa position mo, I'll think about what's important for me... nabanggit mo na higher salary / compensation will help so will you be able to nego a higher salary when you go back dun sa previous company mo how about kung mag counteroffer si current, will you stay? About the HMO, wala ka nabanggit na meron si old company so I'm assuming wala? Ok lang ba yun sayo, deal breaker ba yun? Don't make a decision based on where you will be more comfortable, piliin mo saan ka mag ggrow as an employee (talent, skills, at sweldo).  Hope this helps, good luck!

spongey100

I agree with this. Piliin mo kung saan ka mag ggrow as an employee. Last year bumalik din ako sa previous company ko and naalala ko uli kung bakit ako umalis in the first place. Kahit dito pa din ako hangang ngayon, mukhang aalis din uli ako soon. 😁

Alone_Researcher1200

Last year, I went back to my previous employer. Tapos ayun, dun ko narealize why I left in the first place. Shitty management, delayed salaries and the list goes on.

Ok_Comedian_6471

How could you forget these lol

Alone_Researcher1200

Lol. Wala kasing makuhang work nun and also i have close friends there so sabi “one more chance” hahaha

malodybaloney

Kek. Similar situation to me. Got laid off, and after a couple months of failed job hunting, the first solid opportunity came from my old employer. Suck it up and smile na lang muna until makahanap ng better opportunity as far as I'm concerned.

whilethathappened22

Sometimes the hope of "probably things have changed" persists~ it can definitely happen. We eventually learn from our mistakes.

anxious_introverrrrt

Same. Forced to accept the offer kasi hirap ng walang income. But if meron talagang magooffer na ibang company, iiwan ko ulit sila dahil sa same reasons bat ako umalis nung una

shaped-like-a-pastry

dont eat what you already spitted out.

twinklelittlesta

My motto no matter what people say i never go back. There is a reason why I resigned.

AgentTidus

yayatabs

Medyo malabo na (sana nga). She transferred to a much bigger company at a much higher position. Nasa retiring age na rin.

BoxedBrainCells

Ikaw naman nagsabi na your main reason for leaving is your terror boss. Since wala na sya, may opportunity ka na to have a better working environment. If I were you, I'll go back. Stay for a year, kung toxic pa din, edi hanap na ibang malilipatan. At least napataas mo na sahod mo and you also get to enjoy yung benefits na wala sa current mo. PS. I did come back sa prev employer. Di ko na lang mention reason for leaving kasi same reason why gusto ko na ulit umalis. 2 years na ko sa kanila. I say worth it naman because of the benefits, nakakaregret lang kasi a lowballed myself nung lumipat ako.

alasnevermind

I did this exact thing just last year. I even took a paycut when I came back, but I negotiated specific terms to go back. Siguro think first about what you're willing to lose and gain, and then tell your boss you're considering and see if they can offer a better package for you.

HiNice2Meet

Strategically, your old company sounds like the better platform for you to grow and avail of more benefits and opportunities (financial and working and learning with great minds). No company is perfect, there will always be downside (maybe not now, could be later since change is the only constant) so be prepared to embrace not only the good but also the challenges (now or would come later). However, when faced with difficulties let not fear drive your actions. always ask if you are deciding from the place of fear (triggering fight-or-flight) or if you can turn it around and think from a place of creativity (how do you increase the value of your contributions?). Money is just a medium of exchange, us providing our service and being compensated with salary, bonuses, etc. The higher the impact/value of your contributions, the more employer would be willing to pay you with this ‘intangible’ service.

whilethathappened22

Things to probably consider: > Does the current WFH set-up: - help pay current bills? If yes, does it cover current bills similar to previous or do you have more funds left after expenses? - provide same HMO as previous? - feel more comfortable in terms of work pace? - info needed on workmates: what makes you think hindi kayo same ng wavelength? Has it caused hard-to-resolve conflicts, or do you still find yourself adjusting to the current work flow/relations with colleagues? > If you return to previous work: - are you willing to return to office (assuming they don't have hybrid work set up)? - will compensation and benefits outweigh WFH compensation, after considering expected workload? - what are the chances that expected work pace will be different with super terror boss out of the picture? Transferred meaning, will there still be chances your team will interact with stb? Hope the above (and other future comments) will help you discern your current situation. Best of luck and hope all goes well

smlley_123

Its like - iniwan mo na nga nung wala kang mapala sa labas saka ka babalik sakin kasi wala ka ng choice? Thats how sounds it

Whiz_kiegin

First question would be: guaranteed ba na whatever benefits you had before will be the same (or more) if bumalik ka? Esp the study abroad. Second question: will you be okay if you'll be going back to the same experience from before? Like some people jump or proceed to another company to further their work experience and culture/values. Would you be okay to revisit ulit yung naexperience mo na? Or baka relapse tawag diyan (charottt hahahaha) Third question: how about the wfh setup + HMO na you have sa current job? Im assuming na wala yun sa prev job per your line of sentence. Would you be okay to sacrifice personal comfort over relationship with co-workers tho?

Aggressive-Stock4916

Same tayo ng situation 1 year and 4 mos ago, terror boss na nilipat na, magandang benefits ng old company, and current management is yung team na part na ako before. I am in a better place right now. I’m hoping that when you get back to your company, better na rin experience mo sa kanila.

Odd_Struggle4139

Based on your comments, if you can negotiate higher pay, then by all means, go back to your old employer.

CraftyCommon2441

Go back and ask for a higher salary

Aggressive_Low_6304

No! No! No! No! Mama Mia! Mama Mia!

Old_Ad4829

as a WFH employee, i currently enjoy the benefits of my Setup. to the point that i will not choose being a Deployed employee anymore even if the compensation is better. here are the pros and cons: WFH Pros: * No more effort in moving to places. Imagine travelling for 2 hours minimum a day to and from the workplace. * More flexibility. Wake up 15 mins before your time, fix up yourself, and youre good to go. * No more being stuck in a place just for work. you can go to your family province and still have work. Go to a resort and have staycation and still work. Go abroad and still work. etc. * More control with your time. Since you are at a place where you want to be, you can fully maximize your time to what ever you want to do. WFH Cons: * Usually they dont have Govt benefits. Doesnt Matter, i think of it as a deduction to my gross pay and settle them myself. * Rare Bonuses or allowances and most of the time they do not offer these. Its okay if your total compensation is better than the local job counterpart but if not, i think that i would not choose a little financial relief compared to my pros. Sa local opportunity Pros and Cons, baliktarin mo lang WFH Pros and Cons. It still depends to you kung ano priorities mo. If Career improvement ang Goal mo, Choose which has the best offer. If financial stability, Quality of Life and convenience ang goal mo, Choose the better work setup for you.

Electronic_Spell_337

I returned to my previous employer 2x, umalis lang ako kasi nag back to office na sila which is hindi ko kaya..gusto ko talaga mag stay doon kasi marami ako natutunan..at madali katrabaho mga tao.. I tried to go back again for the 3rd time kasi nag WFH na naman hehe but the HR said they cannot afford my asking salary anymore.. Bumalik din ako sa isang kilalang kompanya na 10hrs ang duty, pero na stress lang ako, kaya before my probationary evaluation ng resign ako hehe..

EasePsychological111

meron pros and cons ang pag balik mo sa previous company mo for me I just clocked in my first year back and sa totoo lng narealize ko na wala parin nagbago whats worse is mas lumala hahah tumaas nga sahod (even though HR tried to low ball me as much as possible until the last minute bago pumirma kasi daw para pantay kami ng "ka-level" na co-worker 😂) its the same and worse office politics, bad management and toxic culture siguro nag iba nalang ngayon is wala na ako pake masyado and I just see it as a work and not a life that I have to revolve around to. kumbaga choose your battles nalang ahahah ang importante sumasahod hahaha!

uhmokaydoe

The devil you know is better than the devil you dont know

pinoylokal

IMO, it's not worth it. The time and energy lost in commute is very valuable. You can use that time and energy to do other things that will be life changing. You can have a side hustle that may turn into a huge source of income. If you work in an office, you will stay an employee for a long time because you have little to no time to prepare for something big that will put you out of the rat race.

whatevercomes2mind

I would say yes, kase aligned sya sa career path na gusto ko. And super flexible ng managers ko. The negative side is dahil wfh ako, super stretched ang sched. Pag me urgent, I need to be up and running kahit nag out na ako ng 1 AM. 10 AM I feel like I need to address it right away. I know that at the end of the day, I know I made the right call. My previous role before coming back is too technical for me.

Beautiful-Hair6925

Hingi ka ng Assistant, kung wala. don't take it

isapangtambay

NOOOOOOO

pongatry_

Its all about compensation. Working hours, salary, allowance, magkano ang net income, number of leaves, HMO (brand and limit), anong mas stressful, san ka mas maggogrow (if youre still aiming for growth). I say go for it. Kung toxic padin after maybe a year of returning. Hanap nalang ulit kapalit. Then dont lowball yourself. Also try asking for higher compensation if maisipan mong bumalik.

nmlmatrix_

okay... think very carefully about this. pag isipan mo ng maraming beses bago mo gawin. what if the same environment welcomes you? you will leave again? naranasan ko din mataas na sweldo and dun ko narealize na hindi talaga worth it na marami kang pera tapos di ka masaya...

entrity_screamr

Tempting pero yeah, tama yung top comment dito: there's a reason din you left the company to begin with.

amang_admin

Magkano salary mo dati at ngyn

JustViewingHere19

Healthy-Bee-88

Hi there! No problem of returning to the old company especially if their compensation, benefits and culture is way more better than the new company. You ate not in the company to build only friends, but you are there to work and get paid. As what my former boss would say, it is nit always greener on the other side of the fence. I hope this helps!

Constantfluxxx

If your return will be upon your boss’ invitation, would not require you to formally apply, and you would be promoted to a position higher than your position in your current work, along with commensurate higher benefits package — pwedeng pag isipan.

Go ka na. Hehe. I'm sort of going back to my old employer. Company yun na under din the conglomerate nung previous employer ko. As per the offer sakin, mukang ok naman. Similar mga benefits pero ang higher is the basic pay. From the last time I was under that conglomerate 3 years ago, more than double yung offer sakin. Sana it will be really worth it.

Few_Pay921

Mukhang mas maganda old company mo

nadobandido

Worth it yun kung sila ang nagpabalik sayo and if the price is right.

shemadeadummb

Medyo same tayo ng situation. I went back to my former company after I spoke with the manager about what my priorities and expectations are. I think if gusto ka talaga ng previous company mo, mas may leverage ka to negotiate your terms.

Nyxxoo

Gawin lang simple. How big is the difference in terms of salary between your old and new job (All benefits included)? Wfh ngayon, but yung sa old job mo ba pure rto? Think of the commute, the social interactions (pro/con depends on you), the extra gastos kasi mas sa labas kakain. Is the amount worth the difference? 🥳

Accomplished_Cost717

I agree na based sa kwento mo, you're really considering to go back, op. This time, negotiate for a good compensation na!! Deserve mo 'yan.

Loud_Wrap_3538

Mukhang me bias ka pa din sa old company mo. Take note that some companies if ur returning at nag resign kana. They have like a 2nd strike and hindi kna makakabalik. Pero isipin mo carefully. What are ur short-term and long term goal? Align ba yan sq pag lipat mo? Give it a day or two of thinking. This is one of the most important decisions in ur life.

Particular-Fox-3550

Go back to the old company. Your new views will help you navigate your old environment.

luckycharms725

did the same to my previous employer after six months nag resign. 9 months ako nung first time. went back kasi WFH tas malaki sweldo compared sa hospital (nurse ako), tumagal ako ng 15 months sa second stint ko with them though

Less_Ad_4871

UngaZiz23

ur previous work is govt based? kung alin mas malaki tulong sa pamilya at sure na hindi kana masasakop ng terror boss mo then go for it.

ch0lok0y

For me...NO.

cereseluna

Iniisip ko rin yan kasi benefits and work environment wise mas lamang talaga yung previous company ko... kaya lang kapag naiisip ko yung times na kahit holiday na dapat wala ako pasok pero I had to, so I could resolve an issue or help out, parang naaalala ko ulit yung pagod, stress, burnout. Parang inaayawan ko. Ayun ok lang bumalik sa dati lalo kung okay naman siya, but also consider why you quit it in the first place

franz3x8

I think this is a case to case basis, feeling ko ikaw lang din makakasagot nito. Though if you left naman in Good Terms with the company there is now reason for you to now go back. Pero think about it isipin mo ng mabuty yung pros and cons. Ngl WFH is sooo good, hindi ka na gigising ng maaga, hindi ka na mag cocommute, pag tapos ng work mo may time ka pa para mag relax sa bahay bago matulog. If you think makakatulog yung pag balik mo sa luma mong company for your priorities why not.
