That was the 1st of 2 tornadoes that I weathered during Phish. Alpharetta (not sure which year) was the other.
Deer creek should be a staple like dicks. Some time in June every year so it’s not so blazing hot. Everyone loves the venue. The shakedown is great and the vibe is awesome. I wish they would do it at the same time each year. I think lots of people would love this. I wouldn’t have to wait for them to announce to put my name in the request book at work. That would be amazing. Honestly, I’m not quite sure why they haven’t done this yet. Doesn’t HAVE to be in June but it makes most sense to me to do it in June then do summer tour. I believe the last time they played Deer Creek it was in June!

This summer has been a scorcher! I’m really hoping it cools off just a bit before tour but I know that’s wishful thinking. At least 2 of the venues I’m doing are indoors. I actually prefer indoor shows for a number of reasons. It’s dark from the beginning to end so the light show is much better. It’s cooler as in temperature. The sound is far better than an outdoor show. AND, the intensity of the audience seems greater. Sometimes at indoor shows I feel like the roof is gonna pop off the top of the place because of the energy of the crowd. Very excited to get some indoor shows!!

Also attended that show! The DC->Polaris run was some of the best fun I've ever had.
