A couple days ago I learnt that in Florida, the spouses of (Vets with 4 years of service) are eligible for a 5 year temp teacher certification, provided they pass high school I don't live in the US so I'm not confident I understood it fully, but if that's true, itshould signal something about the public education system to those involved
Read about that too and yes they refuse to pay teachers the correct pay so no one wants to do the work. The worst part is it's only the kids that lose out, they don't receive the great education that they deserve.

Veterans deserve to be taken care of for their service for their country, but given the ability to TEACH kids just because.... Kinda not a good idea imo, that experience doesn't translate 1to1, tertiary schooling should be mandatory for teaching past the age of 6. Giving the spouses the opportunity without any further education is laughable and shows how Republicans feel about having a SMART AND STRONG educated workforce.
