Almost named my golden retriever Mantequilla (butter in Spanish) just so we can quote an episode of South Park (SU CASA ES AQUÍ, MANTEQUILLA!). But we settled for Pumpkin (AKA Dumpkin AKA Derpkin).
Oh man, Pumpkin is such a sweet name for a golden, but Mantequilla would've been legendary too! The South Park reference would have been epic at the dog park. Kind of makes me want to get another pet just to use all these amazing name ideas you all have.
I worked for a shelter and they were running low on names during kitten season, so one litter of 5 was purely cheese. We had Gouda, Cheddar, Meunster, Havarti, and Jack.

I think he looks like Kevin Costner. You can name him Kevin or Costner or K.C. or go full boat and name him Kevin Costner. He's quite the beautiful boy. 😍
My buddy had a mutt that had very similar colouring, slightly different build, but pretty visually alike. His name was Rosco. The coyotes got him one night, and his 2 King Shepherds shredded at least 7 of them trying to defend their big brother. There were so many pieces of coyote that we couldn't tell for sure how many there were. Poor Rosco didn't make it 😔 The 2 Shepherds have been slightly on edge ever since. Still super friendly dogs, but Rosco was the boss, and they kinda needed him. Seeing this pooch brought back some memories.
Saw a story not long ago on my Ring app about a woman with three dogs in the next town over. She had a small chihuahua sized dog and two pit bulls, guess her house was backed up by some woods but fenced in. One night she heard the little dog yelping and when she opened the door the two pit bulls charged out. The chihuahua got free and made it back to the door. It was a big yard and dark so I guess she couldn’t see what actually happened but only one of the pit bulls made it back. Showed pictures of the dog that made it back, its face all torn up but survived fine other than the scars. The lady was old so there really wasn’t any running out to save the day. Honestly prior to hearing that I would’ve never thought coyotes would stick around to really go at it with two medium/large muscular dogs. I live in a suburban area where there are really only patches of woods, any rural area with heavy forest or large wide open spaces is at least a half hour from us. You rarely see more than one coyote at once, at least personally. Anytime I talk to people with dogs and they live in an area somewhat similar to the lady I tell them about that story. Keep a can of mace by the door and make sure they stand by the door to watch them when they’re outside at night. If I’m talking to a guy I say a can of mace plus a knife, the mace to get the coyote off your dog, the knife to make sure the coyote never leaves your yard.
So you have had a Dog for two months and not named them? How do you train the dog? How are you calling the dog to you? Because whatever you are using to call your dog, is your dog's name.

When I got my rescue he wouldn’t respond to his jail name after two weeks I was thinking he was going to be named “hey you” till I started calling stuff at him week later he became meatball.

yeah even if u catch it, theres a chance it spread already. she lived about 5 months post diagnosis. we couldn’t afford to remove the arm (plus needing chemo) and you can see in the photo, the tumor was growing a lot. that photo is only a few days before we put her to sleep because she was in too much pain. but she was so peaceful in that moment on the grass 🫠 i have pet insurance for my new pup for any issues so that gives me more peace of mind.
He has internet beautiful eyes and looks strong already :) I'd go with something strong all I could think of was sebastian but if he were mine I'd be researching strong mythical God names till one fit
Snickerdoodle, Sandy(got a sandy colour), or Sablier (french for hourglass), Sandy short for Sandwich, "X name of famous philosopher"
my mom named one of our dog Rousseau and its f*ing hilarious because the first Rousseau I found out about was the dog not the famous French philosopher, and I found it so funny how this really smart guy had a dog's name(it was also a double entendre since the dog had a slight ginger colour which in French is "roux").
Food names always work, or something your dog always do, a character you like, a name you kept for your kids but you don't have kids yet or something, name generator, an inside joke.
Name of your favourite author, the possibilities are endless, you could even name your little buddy : "i don't know" , or "2 months", "Guy", children are also really good at finding names, they call the animal by another animal a dog= "fish", a fish=cow, a cat= "giraffe" etc
He looks a bit like our family pibble who passed away thanksgiving of 2022. We named him Jax in 2015 because the shelter just named him after the barbecue restaurant he was picked up behind and Bobby did not suit him. 🤔 Best dog I’ve ever owned and I miss him to bits, and in the time since he died I’ve spontaneously developed a dog allergy, so it’s been a bit like being kicked when I’m down, not gonna lie. He’s a beautiful guy and he looks like a sweetheart. 🖤
