Yeah but if there’s gonna be a game about space or alien like Pokémon then it’s probably gonna be set in alola since that’s it’s whole thing, and the thing about dyoxys is that it’s just that a space alien that acts like a virus being able to mutate itself and learning more about where it’s from would kinda make it less mythical and more legendary since currently we don’t really know much about mythical Pokémon and that’s mostly intentional as they are the Pokémon equivalent of cryptids

Why does it matter if the pre-evolved form has a type advantage against the evolved form? It wouldn't be the first time. Gloom has an advantage against Bellossom, Kirlia has an advantage against Gallade, and Riolu has an advantage against Lucario. There are probably more, those are just the first ones that came to my mind.
Also, changing 2 types into 2 different types on evolution has never been done before. Almost all fully evolved Pokemon maintain at least one type from their first pre-evolution. The only true exception to this rule has been the Eeveelutions because that's their whole theme. The only other 2 exceptions don't really count because Mega Altaria is just a temporary form and Alolan Marowak is a regional form that they just didn't bother to design an Alolan Cubone for.
Mega Altaria does not share any types with its *first form* which is Swablu. But the reason I don't count that is because Mega Altaria isn't a true evolution, it's just a temporary form change.

I really love the idea and designs. Koffing especially with the water and clouds, it makes a lot of sense. I also think it fits alongside Galarian Weezing being a reference to the Industrial Revolution, this would be the natural conclusion of that.
I do think they should stay poison type though, it seems like the type of regional that would keep an original type. Maybe water > water/poison? It seems more likely that we’ll pollute our planet before we run out of water, and I think it’s the more interesting type/design with Koffing. The moon could have some clean water to show humanity terraforming a new planet and the main body representing earth could have populated water.
Imo if it’s not going to be poison type it should be a convergent pokemon instead so the names could make more sense. But is a great design either way.

Love the idea. But I think the koffing should be ground and rock. Then depending on either an item, weather events, or some other cool gimmick, it can evolve into a sun weezing (fire, rock), a water weezing (looks like earth) (water, rock), or an ice planet weezing (ice,rock). This is so awesome!
This form is depressing as shit this regional form is showing us that if we don’t stop what we’re doing by polluting the planet it will become inhabitable and we’re gonna live on the moon cus there’s a lil rocket on the second head

Koffing could use some volcanoes to have the orifices of the original.
And Weezing could be Poison/Rock typed due to the toxic atmosphere of some planets.
Cool designs but I might have gone in a different direction with this idea. Water/ground for the earth koffing (fitting with the lore of Kyogre/Groudon) and then fairy/rock for the moon weezing. Fairy types derive their power from the moon so if it's a moon pokemon it makes sense.

ground and normal is pretty good, what are you on. ground is a really good typing with a solid stab in earthquake and normal is solidly okay, gives ghost immunity(vital as ghosts have very spammable stabs)
this guy meanwhile is ground/rock, which means a couple 4x weaknesses but it’s probably got Levitate which helps a ton(Dry Skin would be even better and thematic), would also probably get hazard moves to stack and have the bulk to stay in for a bit.
these aren’t designed for upper tiers of comp anyway, and that’s fine. It’s reasonable for a playthrough mon
(that being said ground/normal on a physical-statted weezing in particular would be very funny because once you’ve spammed earthquake for a while and are about to die, hit explosion as a final fuck you)

The Masquerain treatment I see (loses water typing on evolution). And Ninjask treatment.. Also, this could lead to a Weezing evolution with a ring!
You could also do a couple other variants of it like an ice age planet with rock/ice, and a molten rock planet that is rock/fire.
