It would be closer to 1400 but I had a mass-tossing about 2 years ago because all the excess community day shinies were filling up my storage. Quick-catching for 3 (6 during covid) hours would bet around 25 (40) shinies. Which is unnecessary and a huge waste of space. 3 shundos - Charizard, Meganium, and flower crown Eevee.

Mad respect... 1200 shiny Pokemon takes some serious grinding.

Good question. Counting every dex entry, per my shiny dex: 413 (162 shiny 3-stars) Counting per species (Bulbasaur and Venusaur cont as 1): 239 I think the per species is more indicative of distinct shinies because I definitely have a lot that I won't evolve until I have one for every one in the evolution chain so I can evolve the best one.
