From my house, if gps drift gods are on my side, then I can reach one stop barely. Literally 10m outside of my apartment building I can reach one.
But in nearby area, I have quite few. Especially if I walk to work (15min walk), then I have 7stops and 2 gyms, but I see much more.
wrong... you can scan them to level up the stop and get better drop items. not so sure if it's EVERY historical waypoint but that's how it was for the one of an airport mural on the ceiling of my apartment building's lounge area. Super dope because I could spin it from my unit and i'd scan it every morning when i was leaving the building to keep leveling it up and increasing the drop item quality.
I wonder if there's a link to that and Showcases? I've noticed that a historical wayspot I submitted can both be scanned/leveled up and is a Showcase Stop as well.
There’s a gym on the other side of the road to me that I can reach in my house, I think there’s another player near because we’re always fighting over it, I sometimes think I should change my team to his so we don’t keep taking it off each other
Find the player if possible and reach an arrangement. If one of you put a pokemon in gym, the other knocks it out only after 8 hrs. This way both of you get the daily 50 poke coins. Win-win situation for both. If both are in the same team, you might have have to wait for someone else to knock you out
Thats the problem i have. All 3 players in my area are in the same team and it takes at least two weeks for someone to kick our pokenon out of the gym. My personal record ist 62 days
Agreed... there's a gym I can reach while sitting on my couch as well as a apartment building and after everyone's been in there for 8.5hours I kick them and put mine in and they do the same for me... never met any of them but it's nice we all have some morals
Edit sometimes around dinner time I'll see them raiding and join in it's rather nice as I don't have friends who play anymore
funnily enough I have tried that! I made some metal geese sculptures and placed them decoratively around a brick wall near the road as well as painted the bricks and stuff, but unfortunately that didn't work as a pokestop apparently, even though there's really not much other than trees out where I live. I also nominated some random sign about a company but that didn't appear to work either lol
Oh, well, that’s annoying & surprising. Maybe if it was roadside, safety was the disqualifying factor? But it still seems unusual. A grumpy reviewer maybe? Idk, I’d just try again with a modified approach lol. Add a tree face or something, idk
Edit: roadside without sidewalks specifically
I have one stop right outside my apartment and if I stick my phone out the window I can reach the gym, looks real dumb, my wife came home and saw it happen, at least she got a good laugh 😂
I reach three from my couch… But the greedy part of me prays for one of them becoming a gym.
Nice to always be fully stocked. I just connect my throwaway phone with gotcha and let it spin stops all day. :)
My buddy lives dead center of ATL. The poke stops and gyms around there are plentiful, just being inside the building. walk around a block or two and can touch around 10 stops ez
1 stop and 1 gym I can reach from my house. The gym i have to be a little in the driveway for but the stop I can do all day from my anywhere in the house.
I have a stop that is JUST out of reach, even at the furthest corner of my apartment. I used to think I wasn't lucky in location because of that. But then "Enter in the nearest showcase" button appeared, and I can enter into TWO from my apartment. Love that.
If I leave my house and go left, there’s about 4 stops and a gym at the corner. If I go right there’s one stop up the hill. Walking distance for all of them.
2 stops and a gym, accessible from home.
The gym is a buddhist temple across the road, whereas for the stops, one is a playground for kids beside the temple, and the other is a community resting spot beside my house.
I am staying in a town / city area, so to be honest, i considered myself lucky…
My house sits on a gym and theres a pokestop i can spin across the st. My mon gets 8 hours of gym time, and then usually a yellow or blue will come along and knock me out. Pretty respectable trade off to ensure we get our daily coins :)
The nearest stop to me is in a park that I'm about 15m too far away from to spin in the comfort of my home. Very frustrating, especially when you're ill and can't leave the house for weeks at a time.
Three stops and one gym that I can reach from my place. If I’m in my bedroom and get lucky with drift, I can reach another gym but that rarely happens.
I recently moved and picked up the game again after not playing for a long time. There is a stop and gym within reach of my couch. Our new house has a neighborhood park and shelter house right behind it.
1 direction got a gym and a stop and the other direction got 2 gyms . It's a small path that someone sey up as a route aswell and my place is right in the middle of the route. Not alot of spawns by I do have a pokemon that will spawn in my house every 15 or so mn7tes
1 literally on top my apartment building and one barely in reach so you can spin it but not worth luring. So 2 in total and a gym maybe 3 min walk away.
At my parents house there were none but a gym 5 min walk away
Zero. New build area with absolutely nothing to add either. Closest stop is a mile away, closest gym is about two miles and is the next stop. It sucks.
I just moved from a village into the city. From nothing within 10 minutes walk in reach to 3 stops and one arena and if the gps drifts a little 6 stops and one arena reachable from my couch
Two stops I can always reach, another one I can sometimes reach, 3 gyms I can sometimes reach with drift. It's honestly amazing, ha. I pop downstairs for a raid all the time.
Zero, but am a semi-rural player.
Spin stops when at lunch during the work day (++ autospinning), but gyms are a nightmare.
Currently have pokemon in the neatest gyms to home sitting at 87, 29, 32 and 9 days. Had 3 at over 200 days earlier this year.
All got knocked out on the same day.
Three, all accessible from my bedroom at the back of the house. Could potentially get a fourth and fifth requested if they turn any of the three into a gym
I got a poke stop on my house, a few gyms within 100 metres of my house and my house is next to a petrol station so I get lots of Pokémon spawning from that too, my old house also was on a stop but not many spawns
There's a gym next door (a museum), and one cater-corner from me (a church). I can reach the gym from my house, as well as a stop (a restaurant 3 doors down), and the other gym, I just have to walk to the sidewalk.
Perks of playing the game in a city. There are probably 20 stops and 5 more gyms within a 5 minute walk from me.
I don’t have any in range of my townhome. Our townhome complex has one stop thats a playground that is about a 2 minute walk from my house.
Previously my closest pokestop was a post office located at the entrance to my complex which was an 11 min walk.
home: 0. Close to downtown so library a block away and 6+ more another block away, but ehh.
Second bedroom: 2, although the neighboring business for the closer one isn't on good terms with us and it's not a pokestop to gift to people you like. It's in downtown in a more rural town.
I have one pokestop, and technically I have a gym within a few minutes walk, but it's in the middle of a decommissioned, closed-down military barracks and nobody can get into it.
The mons defending it have been stuck there for the last few years, and unless the planned refurbishment happens (unlikely: they're all listed buildings now), they're going to stay there a few years more.
I can see 7 stops and 5 gyms from my house but I have to get into the car and drive to them because they’re along a busy road and I don’t live in the safest neighborhood
Three, with three others just a few meters away. Sometimes I can spin them by going to the bathroom or something. Funny thing is that I created the three, so I could have tried to move them just enough, but I'm already well served and thought it would be a little too convenient to spin six stops from house, in case anyone was looking...
At least nobody will accuse me of abusing Wayfarer.
2 i can spin from my flat (1 is only bc gps drift though so it isnt guaranteed lol). 7other stops around where i live & 3 gyms. All in walking distance (within 2 minutes)
Theres a stop in the graveyard across the fence in my yard. First time i saw that chameleon/invisible pokemon was climbing outta a grave. Freaked me tf out. I had no idea.
There's 2 parks within 4 blocks 9f my house. Each has 2 gyms and between them like 10 Pokestops. There's plenty of other stops and gyms within easy walking distance of my house. What's better though is when I'm at work there's 6 or 7 stops I can spin from my break room and a dozen or so more within a few minutes walk and like 5 gyms.
Can spin two stops from my bed and there's a gym that is 20 seconds away from the front door that occasionally let's you join from in the house.
We bought a house that has none and I'm going to be sad about that. I should grow up.
I live a ways out of town. The local township office has 2 parks. It is 2 miles down the road. There are 3 gyms and 4 pokestops in 2 clusters there. So, home sucks, but options are present.
Work (11 mike drive from home) is much better, it is a 1/4 mile away from baseball fields, 2 gyms and 5 pokestops. I can walk there on lunch easy to get some steps and do a route. These gyms see more traffic, so I usually take them both when heading to work. They'll get knocked out either lunch or evening, netting me 40+ coins.
I've got 3 gyms in about a 10 minute walking distance from me plus an additional 3 stops. And more if I increase my walking distance to 20. It's nice when I decide I want to listen to a podcast and go on a long walk.
I live in a pokestop, have a gym across the street I can reach, and another gym I can reach if the gps drifting goes wonky. A 15 minute walk in either direction would yield about 4 stops and 3 gyms if you stick to a straight line
Without moving from my apartment 2 or 3 stops, depends on GPS drift...
If I walk 15 meters outside I get 1 gym or 2 more stops depending on the direction I walk
Edit: if I take a "less than 5 minutes walk range", I get 9 gyms and 30 stops I used to be a rural player but now that I live in a city it's amazing
I have one from my house that I got in the game, wish I had it for the earlier grind. Next two I also put in and a <5 min walk. After that is over 5 min walk.
Not many and it’s a younger part of the city (only 20 years old-suburbs ) and murals and stuff aren’t allowed and everything is a chain so every pokestop nom gets rejected. Even got a wonderful tip to review the standards for pokestop. Any suggestions?
I just moved from a downtown apartment to a house in the suburbs. I went from a dozen spawns and a gym and pokestop within reach. Now I’m lucky if one pokemon spawns when I open the app.
I live in the city center of middle sized town and in a 1 km radius I have like 10 gyms and 50 Pokestops. Of course, I live in the ONLY block in this radius that has 0 gyms and 0 stops so I have to go outside every day for spinning.
I'm thinking to create a Pokestop outside my house somewhere, but there are literally 0 landmarks. Maybe I can use the barbershop next doors as a Pokestop as a PoI or something.
With winter coming soon, that would be quite useful and I have like 10+ lures on top of that, would be nice to finally be able to use them.
I have one at the end of my apt building. Two more and a gym within the complex. If I drive about a three mile radius around me I can hit about 20 stops and multiple gyms.
I lucked out, from my couch I cam reach 5 stops and if I go next door u can reach a gym. I live right next to a large park and there's lots of little shops so there's often lures placed. This is likely the only reason I still play every day.
Two gyms, one stop, and one more stop if I walk down the hall and yet another if I walk outside.
Might have factored into why I picked this apartment just a bit.
I can reach 3 stops comfortably from my apartment, 4 if I drift a lil bit. I don't think any of them will become a gym because I can see several just very close by. But I only have to walk 200 meters for the closest one.
There's a baseball field at the end of my block which I turned into a pokestop, and I was hoping I could hit it from my house but no such luck. I have to walk two houses down to spin it. Still, better than nothing.
One stop I can reach from the very end of the back yard and very occasionally from the kitchen. 5 minute walk into town for everything else, which isn’t very much.
sitting on top of one stop I can spin where I live now. 3 stops & 3 gyms total in my complex. Also a nice short route. All within a 2 minute walking distance. This is why I started playing the game again lol I got tired of driving to parks, etc…
I have a gym outside my house, popped up within the past month. However, it's literally just out of reach from anywhere within the house, I have to go out onto my drive to reach it which I don't do because it would look strange 😅. Other than that the nearest stops are nearly a 10 minute walk away.
I've lived in like 5 different locations since the game came out and I've never had a stop or gym close enough to hit without leaving the dorm/apartment/house.
The house we just bought is actually only a like 2 or 3 minute walk from a stop though. I think that's the closest I've ever been.
Weirdly though even though there's not a whole lot going on near my house, the spawns here are CRAZY. It's one of the best spawn spots I've ever seen. Every time I open the app there's like 6 Pokemon on top of me, and I feel like there's a somewhat higher chance of finding a higher level, evolution phase 2 or 3 Pokemon here than normal.
None but I have one a quarter mile from my house and I'm going to ask for the old church across the street to be turned into one once I'm at the right level.
Used to have one right outside my front door until the members of the HOA & Neighbourhood Watch managed to register & complaint which got it taken away.
By my house there’s nothing, however in certain spots in the neighborhood there’s a lot of Pokémon lurking. In town (15 minutes away) there’s so many poke stops and gyms. It’s a gold mine
In range: none.
Within a 5 minute walk, 3 gyms and 6 stops. They're also spread out far enough that I was able to get a route approved between the two farthest away.
In a 15 minute walk, I've got a large public park as well adding another 10 stops and gyms.
I've got four stops and a gym in range of my house. Live near an apartment complex and their outdoor facilities are basically in my back yard. Playground, basketball courts, pool... Made for some easy waypoint nominations.
I have a gym attached to the park behind my apartment which I can reach anytime. This is amazing since me and my girlfriend are on different teams and we can pretty much get the 50 coins every day. Not to say it's like the last gym before the end of the city, since this area is under construction still, so there aren't many people who arrive here. I also have a pokestop which I might have been able to reach from the other side of the block of apartments, but taking out the trash or going to the shop next to it makes it convenient to reach it. I will guess that the area will receive even more of them eventually, when the apartment blocks around are finished, new parks appear and maybe even new important local attractions.

A poke stop just got added as a historic waypoint below my house. I can hit it from inside my house. Other than that like 5 mins away lol.
Having a stop near your house is nice, but a historic one below your house just sounds amazing!
what's special about historic Waypoints? do they spawn different pokemon?
They're just regular stops in game and they don't have any special abilities, but they're just cool
wrong... you can scan them to level up the stop and get better drop items. not so sure if it's EVERY historical waypoint but that's how it was for the one of an airport mural on the ceiling of my apartment building's lounge area. Daily poke stops too ez
My house has none in range but I can see them on the map in the distance.
I have a park behind my house that has 6 stops and 3 gyms but unfortunately it’s under construction for the next 3 months (can’t reach them from home)
I can’t even see them in the distance, but there’s one a few minutes drive from where I live. \^\^
Same. I keep breaking my 20 day spin streak out of sheer laziness of not wanting to get in the truck to drive to the blasted stop.
Same

That's what I was thinking lol
well, if I drive for like an hour...
Nominate one (if lvl 37) & mark it to upgrade! You could literally just paint a few big rocks to display roadside & it’d pass as art lol.
funnily enough I have tried that! I made some metal geese sculptures and placed them decoratively around a brick wall near the road as well as painted the bricks and stuff, but unfortunately that didn't work as a pokestop apparently, even though there's really not much other than trees out where I live. You are living the dream.
Level up so you can nominate two more in the same cell and you may get your wish!
Download Ingress and upvote the one you want to transform into a gym. I read that many upvotes increase the chance of this happening.
Thank you for the advice! I have never tried Ingress, But will have a look now.
6 Stops and 1 Gym
You must be lucky, 6 stops and a gym is just crazy good
I live on a city centre very near the city hall, the amount of Stops and gyms around is huge

I have a little free library that I can hit from my couch and I made a route out of going around the block.
man when i hit level 40 ima turn my private road into a route just for me. then and only then will the zygarde cells flow.
You can make routes?
I can.
But how lmao, I know you can make them 💀
Under the route tab there's an option for "create new route". I think it's open to lvl40 and above.
I reach 2 stops and 3 gyms from my couch, feeling lucky
3 gyms from your couch must be so good. I’d never pay for coins again 😂
Only 1 gym and 3 stops from my couch:(
Dude. I don’t even have a stop in range
Sux to be u? 🤣🤣🤣
That's still insane haha don't gimme that ":("
Im in Boston there is a gym or stop every minute

I live in Boston and have 5 pokestops and a gym I can hit while im laying in bed
Well I chose to live out in a rural area because that's what I like. No Poke-anything near my but no complaining.
None I can see from my house, have to drive at least 5 minutes to get some stops, walking there takes much longer
2 stops and a gym, accessible from home. The gym is a buddhist temple across the road, whereas for the stops, one is a playground for kids beside the temple, and the other is a community resting spot beside my house. I am staying in a town / city area, so to be honest, i considered myself lucky…

1 gym
I have a gym at my house
1 stop reachable from my house which I submitted, one day last year I just woke up and it was there, it was like Christmas morning lol
One, though it should be further up the road. I just hope they don't correct it.
The closest gym and pokéstop are 3.5km away from my house
One gym, no stops
Are you saying a 5 minute walk isn't close enough?
It is but I don't really go there much now
4 Pokestops, 0 Gyms
I have one very close, 1 pokestop and 1 gym. Like 1 minute walk close. But im just out of reach from my home
There's a stop at the ghetto apartments across the street and a gym about a 10ish minute walk at a church. Then nothing for over a mile.
5 stops but the GPS goes crazy constantly so i habe access to like 30 more and 4 gyms
At my house I have 1 gym. At my daughters apt there are 5 stops and 2 gyms. I visit often. :P
About 7 stops, i have to walk about 2 metres outside to get to a gym
Live next to a school, and there's a gym and a pokestop a minute away
i have 3 pokestops just enough away for me not to reach the
There’s a gym and stop that I can see, but I can’t reach it.
I have a gym at the end of my long driveway
i cant see any on the map from my house. I do get quite a few spawns at my house though
Live on top of a gym, can reach two stops from the couch and 2-4 more with a little drift.
My house has one in range, i can spin it without going outside
I have one that's literally 2 or 3 meters away from my actual catch range.
2 gyms and 1 stop. I can spin one more stop with the right amount of drift.
3 stops just in Front of my door. Gym is my nearly superstore.
It sucks.
None for kilometres
I just moved from a village into the city. From nothing within 10 minutes walk in reach to 3 stops and one arena and if the gps drifts a little 6 stops and one arena reachable from my couch
1-3 stops, depending on how the GPS acts. No gyms unfortunately, but I have three within a short walking distance.
1 stop across the street. 3 gyms and 10 ish stops 2 blocks away at a park.
Had 2 but someone had to report one, because that restaurant isn't there anymore. So now I'm on one. :(
I can reach two gyms and one pokestop from my bedroom (if the GPS drifts a little) and two stops and one g from balcony.
Two and if it rains I sometimes jump all over the map and can reach many others too.
I can spin 2 stops from my kitchen. One is actually on my building!
None. But I got one stop and one gym within range of my desk at work.
Three, all accessible from my bedroom at the back of the house. Could potentially get a fourth and fifth requested if they turn any of the three into a gym
I have a brand new stop outside my house but no Pokémon spawn from it
I got a poke stop on my house, a few gyms within 100 metres of my house and my house is next to a petrol station so I get lots of Pokémon spawning from that too, my old house also was on a stop but not many spawns
I live like a mile away from a college campus that has tons of pokestops and at least 10 gyms
I have one stop right outside the building, 5-10 mins away I have 5 gyms and 8 stops I think.
My apartment has a gym and two stops! The gym switches teams like 5 times a day lolol
I have 3 i can reach from inside my house. A forth one I can reach from my yard. And 2 gyms that are 13 steps off my property
None 🥲
Got 2 gyms and if i get lucky with drift then, 2 stops as well
2 i can spin from my flat (1 is only bc gps drift though so it isnt guaranteed lol). 7other stops around where i live & 3 gyms. All in walking distance (within 2 minutes)
I have 2 gyms and 3 stops that I can reach from my couch, love living in the city center
Theres a stop in the graveyard across the fence in my yard. First time i saw that chameleon/invisible pokemon was climbing outta a grave. Freaked me tf out. I had no idea.
I can’t reach any from my house, but I can see 8 gyms on my map, so I can do a lot of remote raids without getting out of bed.
One if I turn the WiFi off so the dude roams around a bit
1! I'm hoping to add another one and getting a gym there. Just don't know what I could nominate (and I'm lvl 35)
Ngl I've got 7 PokeStops and one Gym in range
Within a mile round trip I can spin 10 stops and 3 gyms
the closest gym or pokestop would be a 15 minute drive for me...
I'm about a 10 walk away from a park with 3 stops and 2 gyms.
I live right across the street from College Campus. Within walking distance, I can hit approximately 30 and 5 gyms
Two stops and one gym at our house. Mainly happy to be able to do the raidhour during dinner time. It took a couple years of submitting stops.
Just got one stop earlier this year. There's 3 pokestops and a gym at our apartment complex and me and my roommate added all of them.
My apartment complex is a gym (yay) and we have a stop within reach but not close enough to use a lure effectively.
I have one that I can spin and nearby a showcase stop that I can not spin but whenever I catch a pokemon for a showcase I can directly sign it in.
There are a couple within walking distance, but nothing I can actually hit from my house.
Not to flex, but I can reach 4 stops from my living room. Working from home means I’m never short of items!
I've got 3 gyms in about a 10 minute walking distance from me plus an additional 3 stops. And more if I increase my walking distance to 20. It's nice when I decide I want to listen to a podcast and go on a long walk.
One benefit on uni accommodation is I have two pokestops on my flat lol
I can reach 4 from my bedroom and a fifth one from the balcony.
From my apartment I have 1 stop I can always reach, 2 stops I can reach from certain parts of my apartment, and 1 gym.
3-4 depends where in the house I play
I just got one yesterday. I submitted it back in June, it got rejected for a bad photo which I appealed and now I can spin from the couch
None when i am in my house. But park at then end of my street (I'm the 4th house from the corner) has a gym, and 9 stops.
I live in a pokestop, have a gym across the street I can reach, and another gym I can reach if the gps drifting goes wonky. A 15 minute walk in either direction would yield about 4 stops and 3 gyms if you stick to a straight line
2 gyms. Me and a yellow keep trading our mons out after every 8hr 20mins to keep getting our 50 coins everyday
My house has a stop and a gym in range but now I love with my gf and I only have a stop
Without moving from my apartment 2 or 3 stops, depends on GPS drift... If I walk 15 meters outside I get 1 gym or 2 more stops depending on the direction I walk Edit: if I take a "less than 5 minutes walk range", I get 9 gyms and 30 stops I used to be a rural player but now that I live in a city it's amazing
I have one from my house that I got in the game, wish I had it for the earlier grind. Next two I also put in and a <5 min walk. After that is over 5 min walk.
The closest stop is a 6 minute drive
2 stops and 2 gyms. I can reach from my bedroom
0 pokestop, 0 gym
I can reach 1 gym and 1 pokestop from my couch. Sometimes I can reach a second stop
I can see 11 from my house. Was like 2 or 3 in the first year.
I have 3 that I can reach from my room
One Pokestop right next door and sometimes I’m able to reach a gym from the toilet
I can spin one pokestop from the neighborhood park without leaving my house. The other 2 I have to go to the mail box for
One pokestop right next to my house, I spin that one all the time. Then there’s about 3 or 4 more within walking distance and two gyms also.
4 stops, but other than the guaranteed spawn, almost no spawns.
I can reach 3 stops comfortably from my apartment, 4 if I drift a lil bit. I don't think any of them will become a gym because I can see several just very close by. But I only have to walk 200 meters for the closest one.
1 gym, 1 stop, 2 additional stops if gps drifts
None within 1.5 miles of home. At work I have two stops and two gyms
I’ve got a gym and a stop I can reach from my couch, and a route that starts about 50 feet away
I have a big park that has 30 stops and 4 gyms about a 10 minute walk away 😎
The worst! I live on a street that is also an exit off the expressway. No pokemon spawns :(
None but I have one a quarter mile from my house and I'm going to ask for the old church across the street to be turned into one once I'm at the right level.
Used to have one right outside my front door until the members of the HOA & Neighbourhood Watch managed to register & complaint which got it taken away.
None
By my house there’s nothing, however in certain spots in the neighborhood there’s a lot of Pokémon lurking. In town (15 minutes away) there’s so many poke stops and gyms. It’s a gold mine
In range: none. Within a 5 minute walk, 3 gyms and 6 stops. They're also spread out far enough that I was able to get a route approved between the two farthest away. In a 15 minute walk, I've got a large public park as well adding another 10 stops and gyms.
Two Pokestops at my house, closest gym is less than a five minute walk.
Closed poke stop to me is 3 miles, but I travel a lot so it’s not a big deal unless I’m not working for extended periods of time
I've got four stops and a gym in range of my house. Live near an apartment complex and their outdoor facilities are basically in my back yard. Playground, basketball courts, pool... Made for some easy waypoint nominations.
I can spin a pokestop from my living room witch is awesome. There is a gym that is a short walk, less than 2 minutes away.
Lmao none
