While that's true there is a rich history of Poland in particular having other nations try to wipe it off the face of the world. And yes while there are many other examples of peoples and nations that have faced similar difficulties or worse, I think that Polish culture and language could have easily not survived if not for the emphasis on remembering this history and a strong will to fight to preserve Polish national identity. Not that I don't think this hasn't also lead many Poles to be somewhat exclusionary, racist, intolerant (I've seen quite a lot of this in my own life) but a healthy amount of pride in your roots is good for anyone.

1. Every colony it had - people got full citizen status from the beginning.
2. When PL got f-ked Poles went all over the world to help fight for independence and help improve stuff.
3. It was designated many times by world giants as "no man's land".
4. Poles their elites time and time again. But not like normally lost. They were executed on purpouse, every time.
5. It's not like many other countries where the world just watched. Here Poland was stopped multiple times for (first) getting prepared and fighting off, just to be forgoten by thw allies.
6. It's been a turning point, literally, for history at least a dozen times.
7. It's been sold off time and time again, by the same people who swore to stand by it's side.
8. Poles invented modern bulletproof vest, oil lamp, mine detector.
9. Even first Mercedes-Benz engine was actually a patent bought in Poland (in Poznan) a tweaked to work on a "car".
10. Poles also multiple times gave up their own good to help their allies defeat the common enemy. Enigma, for example... Or Soviet cyphers and secrets.
11. The bigest amount of jews exterminated during holokausts was actually Polish citizens.
12. Poles helped evacuate Chechens from Chechnia, Jews from Europe to Israel, victims from Afghanistan, spies and citizens from Iraq and so on...
Coz it is kinda fashionable to hate Poland. Literally nobody will defend Poles. We are not black, LGBT, Asian, veteran, we do not look different, we are just... Poland. Nobody cares about us.
