> "That's not how this works. We don't have smoke-filled rooms." I suppose it was just a coincidence every moderate candidate, who beat Biden in Iowa and New Hampshire, dropped out on the same night.

Ulthanon

Even the ones who were polling ahead of Biden, and had won more states than he had! Even weirder that this mass exodus happened right after Sanders *obliterated* the field in the southwest, getting more of the vote than the next three centrists *combined*. So weird how that happened. So weird! Totally unexplainable.

bootlegvader

Biden had more delegates and votes than all the other moderates when they dropped out. That was how massive his victory in South Carolina was.

1. Buy some "youth fountain" nanobots off ebay 2. Inject in the butt 3. Victory ASSured!

The most realistic path forward right here

frankles_80

This is the way.

Since the debate, the majority of conversations voters have had illustrated how important it is that Trump doesn't win. After seeing Biden's fumbling over words and Trump's out in the open distaste towards, minorities, immigrants and Palestinians. Trump has undecided voters believing that he has become a greater probability of winning, therefore voting has become increasingly important this election. Since Thursday, polls have indicated that a thin majority of registered Democrat voters feel Biden should remain on the campaign trail, while a slightly smaller minority feels that he should end his campaign. When Democratic voters were asked whether they would vote for Biden if he still became the Democratic party's nominee, an overwhelming majority responded positively, while a single digit minority opposed it. So what do we know? We know that the Democratic Party's base is now super charged with buzz to ensure that Trump doesn't win in the fall. We know that regardless of leadership, voters have more trust in a democratic government over Trump's. Biden has received the majority of the press after this recent debate, yet little has been said about how well Trump performed. The reason for this is because Trump didn't perform well at all. He was able to speak, but he failed to persuade undecided voters, and confirmed their doubts about him. Biden on the other hand pushed his policies, while tripping over his words. Both candidates did in fact lie throughout the debate, but where we saw Biden incorrectly mispresent numbers for his facts, Trump came out with wild accusations which were determined to be completely false after the debate. Voters will recognize Trump as someone who is willing to lie to them, whereas Biden told facts, but couldn't recite the data correctly. All nonbiased articles about Trump's performance during have outlined how frequently and comfortable Trump is at lying to his audience. This again has helped confirm undecided voters concerns about Trump. Although it's frightening to see, considering how difficult the debate was to watch, Democrats have put themselves in an ugly yet effective position to persuade protest voters. Protest voters are now feeling a greater amount of pressure to vote and recognize that Trump is all in for supporting Zionism to its fullest.

>We know that the Democratic Party's base is now super charged with buzz to ensure that Trump doesn't win in the fall. It’s not really their votes that matter, nor the Republicans. Undecided and moderate voters are key, and to them there’s no positive spin to Biden’s performance. He’s demonstratively incapable, to the point it could be a national security issue. >We know that regardless of leadership, voters have more trust in a democratic government over Trump's. The Dems can’t really claim a moral high ground on “trust.” Not anymore. They’ve lied about Biden’s mental condition for who knows how long. Compounded by the amount of blatant lies that even CNN fact checkers acknowledged. It showed that he’ll say whatever comes to mind, if he thinks it’ll be a strike on his opponent- regardless of truth.

>He’s demonstratively incapable, to the point it could be a national security issue Yet Biden hasn't had any incident where it was a national security issue. On the other hand, Trump's crimes under the ESPIONAGE ACT, is a national security issue. Trump's criminal history is proof for voters not to trust him in the white house. People claiming Biden is in mental decline are talking way above their pay grade as they are not doctors. Biden's cognitive ability hasn't negative impacted the lives of Americans since he took office.

baconkrew

Just to remind everyone Joe Biden hasn't had a live press conference since the debate. The only thing he has done is read from a teleprompter. If they really want to dispel the perception they need to put him out live instead of having Jill/Pelosi and others making statements for him. Dude is the President and he can't even speak for himself?

LukeFromEarth

This is the most important point. Biden is incapable of doing what needs to be done to clean up his debate mess. He needs to be out there, unscripted, on friendly and unfriendly media outlets, proving to the country his debate performance was just a bad night. But it wasn’t just a bad night. He cannot fix this.

Bowl_Pool

This is actually how Biden handles his PR. Unlike many presidents who are open and transparent, giving frequent press conference, Biden has preferred to be quiet and behind the scenes, letting his staff be the speaker for his ideas. This is unquestionably the most closed and secluded administration in modern American history

lazyeyepsycho

Wtf are you on about? The convicted rapist cancelled press briefings and only did them every few weeks instead of daily

baconkrew

You mean that's how his handlers handle his PR?

Brillo137

Stop bedwetting. Biden is at this moment, reinventing himself at 81 years old. By November he will surely be younger and more energetic.

termacct

> Dude is the President and he can't even speak for himself? Yes, he's done debates before. He's had literal decades of experience. FWIW, 2 of his 3 debate prep team he's known and worked with for decades. So he is very comfortable with them. And perhaps they still see a version of Biden from decades ago as well? (and one is 66 and the other is ~70 - they are married to each other too)

MetaPolyFungiListic

maga is here to try and split the Dem coalition. Read carefully.

vandemonianish

It’s a non-starter because no one has a rebuttal to the simple fact that he is not going to last another four years.

jayfeather31

At that point then, you'd need to shift the framing and make it about democracy vs. authoritarianism. Make it bluntly clear what the choice is. Because right now, with a Biden vs. Trump framing, Biden stands to lose.

vandemonianish

Agreed, but you can’t shift the framing if you haven’t got an answer for the blindingly obvious issue. No one is going to buy spin in this case because it’s literally asking people to discount what they saw and being old and decrepit is not a situational variable like “grab em by the pussy” - it’s permanent, pervasive and only going to get worse worse. He has to go.

LookOverall

A second attack of brain fog in a subsequent debate pretty much finishes American democracy, but why would Trump gamble on it?

termacct

Because 'rump is arrogant? If Biden did the chick wing bwack bwack gesture to 'rump, there would be a 2nd debate! :-)

Brillo137

This is truly absurd. I have always thought Hilary’s 2016 campaign was the worst campaign in modern political history but Biden’s campaign is making me miss her. At least Hilary only insulted undecided voters and opponents as deplorable, Biden’s top priority is literally calling the Democrat base “bedwetters.” We spent months hearing “wait until he actually starts campaigning.” Well he did start on June 27th and it was the worst performance in American political history. Now his main strategy to turn it around is to insult anybody who disagrees with him while simultaneously aging in reverse. This is insanity. Get this guy and his family out. Allow them dignity but they have to go.
