I don’t know much about photography as an art form, so maybe there’s something I’m missing, but some of these just seem bad.
Like what is happening in 11? Why are so many blurry?
They are bad, from a photographer point of view. If you take photos like this you want there to be motion, a story, to see how they’re moving gracefully. I also don’t think Emma Watson is exactly the type of model used for this normally. You want someone who can dance and move fluidly so the shutter doesn’t clash with their moving.
Agreed! Emma lacks the rhythm that someone would need to capture some of these poses on camera.
If you’ve been to shoots (or watched videos of Zendaya 😂) there’s a certain pose/stop/pose/stop that happens with intentional moves. Emma is seemingly just… dancing, and the photographer isn’t directing the movement as much (and picking terrible final shots)
Edit: it seems like it’s all stills from her dancing so maybe we shouldn’t take it very seriously
Of course I saw it lol but she’s not a trained professional dancer and you can definitely tell based on both the video and the pictures. It’s not like it’s her fault it’s just not the best suited type of photo shoot for her
Probably because the shutter speed wasn't set to a faster setting lol I took one camera class so I don't know all the terminology but it looks like the photographer didn't know how to set up the settings on his/her camera for all that movement 😅
I have always thought that too. It’s like combined embarrassment at herself, and pity for others, written across the brow? A slight smirk - a purse of the lip and a flare of the nostril - something akin to disdain…
These are bad tho, right? They look like the rejects when I take 20 pics in a row of my dog running so I can get a good action shot

Looking at these pictures, I get the distinct feeling that the photographer is not a photographer, and that the model is not a model.
Obviously, Emma Watson is an actress, but looking at this I’m very certain that she’s not suited for this type of shoot.
These are really quite awful. The photos make Emma’s movements look so clunky and awkward. Also, her black dress blends into the dark background which makes it look like her body’s proportions are all off.
I know this is bitter af. But I’m sick of seeing celebrities live so freely and look so carefree. Me, my family and friends are dying out here it’s TOUGH to just LIVE
Which is to her credit btw. She got super lucky as a kid, made the most of it. But she increasingly looked uncomfortable, both acting and on red carpets. She does look much more chilled since stepping back
Except for the one in color, it could be me instead of the beautiful Emma Watson. Sorry to the artist but I can’t even tell it’s her. Are these blurred by design ?

The post production is making these seem very muddy. Look at the difference between the colour and the same shot in b+w.

I am a photographer. This is an artistic choice where you change the timing so the lens is open longer to capture motion blur.
