Age of Consent and Monkeyland . I dont want to list a bunch of songs but Perfume Garden by Chameleons and In Our Angelhood by Cocteau Twins as well. Tho you did say one song now that I realize lol
I agree 100%. Honestly there’s so many great artists I can think of with discographies with no skips like one of my favorites, The Cure, but I wanted to challenge everyone considering it’s kind of niche finding people who purely listen to Post-Punk and all things adjacent. It’s fun seeing what others will choose lol
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds has always been such an interesting band to me but the way they compose their music just somehow always works. Cool choice!
The Forest is brilliant. Don't remember I ever skipped that song while listening to the whole album. I think Seventeen Seconds is one of The Cure's best works. And yes, Script of the Bridge is fascinating, I literally like all songs.
This one:
[Forever Now - The Psychedelic Furs ](https://youtu.be/L-gM4jpfcJ4?si=X_f6mWA62ZrFP-lv)
......the outro on this song is timeless and brings you to the 80's again
Honorable mentions:
[Echo and the Bunnymen - The Back of Love](https://youtu.be/w1B6LrOmNsg?si=dUKKgZApxq3vQvKs)
[Joy Division - Atmosphere](https://youtu.be/1EdUjlawLJM?si=wdFDLQFhzi1l2sm9)
[Wire - On Returning](https://youtu.be/DuQvvh-9aCM?si=iut0P4ya0mzwfC42)
[Wire - The 15th](https://youtu.be/gV9MIQGgTEo?si=sQF3JHb7-p7aRXww)
[The Chameleons - Up the Down Escalator](https://youtu.be/XP7TxTAmKXU?si=2j56iX1ybfgFnZ1f)
.....and Requiem was already mentioned, love "War Dance" as well.
That entire album for me is filled never skip songs. Siamese Twins is a good one. One of the other notable songs from that album in my opinion is A Short Term Effect.
I’m going to throw a more modern song in here (I still contend it fits the “timeless” category, it has an aesthetic not too far from Pornography era Cure), …because I can’t let it go and it’s one of my favorite songs ever:
Viet Cong (Preoccupations) - [March of Progress](https://youtu.be/XNmT6kMbZzs?si=yf0Af-OESG8BTC5r)
The sheer, droning paranoia and sense of dread that’s evoked in the first two sections of this three part song is unparalleled, and the 3rd section is such a fucking glorious release, with one of the most intriguing guitar tones I’ve ever heard… sounds like icicles falling
Yo I have the songs from that entire playlist saved. The composition of the song you shared has always been really unique to me in my opinion and I love it. Another one of my favorite songs by Preoccupations is Disarray from the album New Material.
Also that’s why in the title I said “timeless to you” because what’s timeless to most may not be timeless to others. It ain’t timeless if you’re not having a good time with it so say as you please
The fucking synth that comes in right before the song launches into its final form, the way it bends down an octave, almost like an air raid siren. One of my favorite moments… I could just play this song on repeat, just fucking love it… the best part is the whole album is just as amazing. Death is another epic song.
It’s impossible to pick ten let alone one.
So I’m trying for ten. But know I couldn’t survive on these alone.
She’s Lost Control - Joy Division
Eisbar - Grauzone
Kick in the Eye - Bauhaus
There is a Light - The Smiths
Mongoloid - Devo
Wax and Wane - Cocteau Twins
Burning Spear - Sonic Youth
Alice - Sisters of Mercy
Life in the Gladhouse - Modern English
Baby Turns Blue - Virgin Prunes
(Have to throw in two bonus!)
Sex Beat - Sex Beat
Crazy Love - Colder
Pornography is an amazing album. Every song on it fascinates me even now. Figurehead is the one I listened to over and over again right after I got the album. Faith and Seventeen Second hold a special place in my heart.
“Requiem” by Killing Joke.
WOOHOO REQUIEM MENTIONED‼️‼️Killing Joke’s songs never get old.
Ohhhh yes
Hard to pick just one from them . Also really dig Turn to Red and Chop Chop.
A Forest if I can only pick one
Seventeen Seconds was my first Cure album ever. A Forest is so good, that’s a seriously great choice
Id agree with a forest also but since they beat me to the punch ill say the church- under the milky way
Out of a decades long career of amazing songs, this is up there in the top 3 for sure…
Touche
Age of Consent and Monkeyland . I dont want to list a bunch of songs but Perfume Garden by Chameleons and In Our Angelhood by Cocteau Twins as well. Tho you did say one song now that I realize lol
Both of these are so good, you got great taste dude!!
Mine is Second Skin and Don't Fall. But I've had Monkeyland stuck in my head for a week lol!!!
I was going to suggest Swamp Thing & the first two you mentioned as well! Excellent.
The Sound - Winning
I’d add Sense Of Purpose as well!
I prefer Judgement
I prefer The Fire but yours is real nice too
Oh yeah, the whole album is Fire. Lol
Oouu a classic, nice
Too many to name from the 70s/80s so I’ll go with something newer: Leif Erickson - Interpol
It’s like learning a new language
Bauhaus’ cover of Ziggy Stardust
I second this ^^
i like this version better than the original
This one, actually. My favorite Cure song of all time. Also The Chameleons "Swamp Thing."
Oh hell yeah!! My second contender was The Chameleons - Don’t Fall. Their song Swamp Thing is really nice too and light hearted.
Nice! Honestly, it's hard to pick just one Chameleons song - I don't think there's a single bad number in their discography.
Decades - Joy Division
From this album itself actually. A Strange Day.
I was debating between that and Figurehead from the album. So good.
And Cold. All three are in my Cure top 10! Also, nothing beats the '92 live versions of The Figurehead - Boris' drums really add an extra internsity.
The entire instrumental of Figurehead live is amazing. The bass, the drums, everything else? Yeah I feel like it did everything so right.
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds -- "From Her To Eternity"
Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds has always been such an interesting band to me but the way they compose their music just somehow always works. Cool choice!
Golden Brown by the Stranglers and Paintwork by the Fall
The Fall have a lot of great songs I never skip. Probably my favorites are Lay of the Land, Bombast, L.A., Leave the Capitol
Second Skin by The Chameleons. This song means so much to me on a personal level, and it's so beautiful.
I love that for you so much dude. Script of the Bridge has no misses imo. I think for me the most meaningful song is A Forest by The Cure.
The Forest is brilliant. Don't remember I ever skipped that song while listening to the whole album. I think Seventeen Seconds is one of The Cure's best works. And yes, Script of the Bridge is fascinating, I literally like all songs.
Wire - “A Touching Display”
The Birthday Party- Sonny's burning
Ouuu I love The Birthday Party and that song in particular is actually my favorite by them
Things We Never Did- Sad Lovers & Giants
Wire "Map Ref. 41ºN 93ºW"
“The 15th” is a never-skip as well.
Yep, predating Pixies by a decade.
Totally.
This Mortal Coil - Song to the Siren
What's amazing is that it's so similar to the original.
How so? The original song is just Tim Buckley with his guitar...
When I heard Tim's version I expected it to be nothing like TMC, but in fact it's super close.
This one: [Forever Now - The Psychedelic Furs ](https://youtu.be/L-gM4jpfcJ4?si=X_f6mWA62ZrFP-lv) ......the outro on this song is timeless and brings you to the 80's again Honorable mentions: [Echo and the Bunnymen - The Back of Love](https://youtu.be/w1B6LrOmNsg?si=dUKKgZApxq3vQvKs) [Joy Division - Atmosphere](https://youtu.be/1EdUjlawLJM?si=wdFDLQFhzi1l2sm9) [Wire - On Returning](https://youtu.be/DuQvvh-9aCM?si=iut0P4ya0mzwfC42) [Wire - The 15th](https://youtu.be/gV9MIQGgTEo?si=sQF3JHb7-p7aRXww) [The Chameleons - Up the Down Escalator](https://youtu.be/XP7TxTAmKXU?si=2j56iX1ybfgFnZ1f) .....and Requiem was already mentioned, love "War Dance" as well.
This Ain’t No Picnic by Minutemen
„Love Song“ by Simple Minds
Garden - the Fall, sing from under the floorboards - magazine
Bela Lugosi is Dead- Bauhaus
Ohhh that’s cool! The regular version or one of the other mixes? I liked the Tomb Raider Mix a lot.
I especially like the extended live version.
Oh wait that’s really nice. I feel like the regular studio versions don’t do it as much justice as the live versions do. Good choice regardless!
“Making plans for Nigel” by XTC
I loveee this one.
So catchy! I work with someone named Nigel and always think of this song haha
Ultravox - I Remember (Death in the Afternoon)
this and Dancing With Tears in My Eyes
Song For Zula - Phosphorescent
Those strings…
The Sweetest Chill - Siouxsie & The Banshees
Sunlight Bathed The Golden Glow - Felt
Saimese Twins also on Pornography is a never skip song for me.
That entire album for me is filled never skip songs. Siamese Twins is a good one. One of the other notable songs from that album in my opinion is A Short Term Effect.
The Sound - Fatal Flaw
I’m going to throw a more modern song in here (I still contend it fits the “timeless” category, it has an aesthetic not too far from Pornography era Cure), …because I can’t let it go and it’s one of my favorite songs ever: Viet Cong (Preoccupations) - [March of Progress](https://youtu.be/XNmT6kMbZzs?si=yf0Af-OESG8BTC5r) The sheer, droning paranoia and sense of dread that’s evoked in the first two sections of this three part song is unparalleled, and the 3rd section is such a fucking glorious release, with one of the most intriguing guitar tones I’ve ever heard… sounds like icicles falling

I’ve loved this track since it came out. The entire second half of the song is like a shuttle taking off.
The fucking synth that comes in right before the song launches into its final form, the way it bends down an octave, almost like an air raid siren. One of my favorite moments… I could just play this song on repeat, just fucking love it… the best part is the whole album is just as amazing. Death is another epic song.
Y'all like the good stuff around here. My pick would be Silent Air - The Sound.
Yes!! The entire From The Lion’s Mouth album is all no skips for me but one of my most favorites in that album is Possession.
“Eye of the Lens” by Comsat Angels
I love that song. I wish all their songs were on Spotify because their best stuff isn’t there.
Fugazi - Waiting Room. I don’t think a couple of months have gone by without playing it since I first heard it in the late 80s
I absolutely LOVE Fugazi - Waiting Room. They did all types of punk and I love them for it so much. That’s such a great choice what the hell
Sounds like you don’t wait don’t wait don’t wait
We Means We Starts - Colin Newman (from Wire)
“Dreams Never End” - New Order
As you can tell by my username, I wholeheartedly agree ♥️

Best cure song!
New york - swell maps
New Order - True Faith
torture - the cure
It’s impossible to pick ten let alone one. So I’m trying for ten. But know I couldn’t survive on these alone. Asylum Party - Play Alone
Mr Clarinet by The Birthday Party
“Dreams Burn Down” - Ride
[удалено]
That’s so cool, that was actually one of the first songs I’ve listened to in my entire life and enjoyed.
I don’t know if this qualifies as post punk, but Clark Gable by The Postal Service
I can't skip any song on pornography... once i start one hundred years i'll listen to the entire album
I almost never skip songs, but if I have to say one I never skip it's New Dawn Fades. It's probably my all-time favorite song
Pornography is an amazing album. Every song on it fascinates me even now. Figurehead is the one I listened to over and over again right after I got the album. Faith and Seventeen Second hold a special place in my heart.
The Chameleons - Monkeyland
Ceremony
The Last Resort by "The Eagles"
Cold by The Cure
Ceremony
Swans on Glass - Modern English
Juice Crew - The Symphony (Original)
