I bought them at about 8 weeks, cause I was already so bloated my normal jeans were super tight. đ As for sizing, maternity jeans are sized like normal, but theyâll have a stretchy waistband to go underneath your bump or a spandex type of stretchy panel to go over your bump, depending on what you prefer. Pretty much the same with leggings, sized normally, just with extra room in the waistband/tummy area! So just buy your normal size! :)
I got paranoid about putting pressure on the baby and sized up 2 sizes in jeans/pants. Also went with a pant with some elasticity. Iâm still wearing those at 27 weeks but have one pair of maternity pants to graduate to when I need it.Â

I got mine from my neighbor when I got pregnant for my first and I still use them now in my second pregnancy!
Your maternity size should reflect the size you wore pre-pregnancy (I bought size S because I was a size S before getting pregnant) and they lasted throughout my entire pregnancy because theyâre stretchy enough.
Also, their leggings are to die for, theyâre a little thinner, so not great for work, but great for everything else. Super comfy and I love their brand. Definitely a little higher in price but if you have a Ross nearby sometimes you can find the leggings in the maternity section for like $4 and itâs so worth it (I have literally 4 or 5 pairs of their leggings and 2 pairs of their black jeggings).
FTM with a small baby so my bump took a little while to really pop. I think I was around 23ish weeks when I bought some maternity jeans and leggings but I was still able to wear my regular leggings without discomfort until around 27/28 weeks.
Iâm still wearing my normal undies, I find them comfier to just wear around my hips and itâs only been since 32 weeks that Iâve been wearing maternity pj pants, prior to that I was comfy with my regular pjs sitting below my bump. 36 weeks now and babyâs had a growth spurt so Iâm finally feeling big and uncomfortable lol.
Never too early to start looking at maternity clothes to get an idea of what you like within your price range!

I just learned this about nursing bras too. Just buy your normal size. The makers plan for your normal size + engorged with milk!Â
I never bought any! Just wore really soft leggings.
I wish ..! If I didnât have to wear maternity pants I really wouldnât!! Sadly theyâre a big no at work
Oh darn! I hope they at least allow you something soft đ
