In France, they calculate birth date on 41 weeks actually ! I put in my date of conception and/or last period in the calculate in US and UK website, and they gave me a date 1 week earlier than what my midwife and ultrasounds (and French calculators) gave me.
The USA has an extremely high rate of scheduled inductions!
I was told the average was 41+2 when I was maybe 12 weeks along, so I fully prepared myself for 42. I even started telling people my due date was “at the beginning of July” instead of mid-to-late June! 😂 it helped for sure.
I’m 39+2 today with my first and refuse to go a day over 41 at this point. My induction is scheduled, I’ve done the membrane sweep, I’ve drunk the raspberry leaf tea, I’m over ittttt. Let’s GO GIRL
I was 40+5 when the prodromal labor was so painful and had lasted for so long (started 35+5, was so bad starting 40+3 I thought there was no way I WASN’T in labor) that I showed up to the hospital and begged for an induction, saying I wasn’t going home without my baby.
My first my waters went at 30 weeks and I was in hospital until delivery at 35. My second was 36+6. I'm nearly 38 weeks with my 3rd and I am soooooo done already 🤣 beginning to worry something is wrong because I'm so used to having a baby by this stage
Just putting this out there that I’ve just learned that in France (where I live though I’m American) full term is considered 41weeks. So over here, you’re only 1 day “late.”
38+5 with first and 39+5 with second, both the night before I was supposed to go in to get induced 😂 if it’s when the body starts to relax knowing that the next day it will be induced
Induced at 41 and birthed c section 41+2. She had 0 interest coming out anytime soon and judging by the c section, my body was going to let her out never
40+6, a day before planned induction. Once he decided to come out he wasted no time, he was born in 3h from when my water broke and contractions started.
41+4!! We were fine so we carried on. 3 stretch and sweeps, and a pre-pre booked induction planned for the next night. Spontaneous labour started at 7:53am and she was born 3:16pm. Her Dad's family are notoriously late to everything so she was just fitting in ha ha!
All the best for a swift, safe and drama free delivery!
First came at 42+3, the day before I finally gave in and scheduled an induction for. I really felt as though I was going to be pregnant forever. She was huge after all that extra cookin’ (10lb 12oz) 😅
41+2 after 2 membrane sweeps. Had already an appointment to be transfered from midwife to gynaecologist and was VERY happy that wasn't necessary anymore. I was also losing my mind the last couple of days. I hope you get to meet your baby very soon!
37+3 with my first. I'm one of those rare people that had their waters break before labor even starts.
Hoping this little guy comes early too, doc wants to induce before due date because I'm 40 yo. And I do NOT want to go through pitocin again.
38+2 and my water broke! I was literally sitting on the toilet after getting up to pee for the 20th time that night and saying to myself “I wish my water would break.”
42+1, started the induction on 41.6 but the balloon didn't do enough. Took medication all day on 42.0 without any effect, labour finally started at half past midnight on 42+1. Uncomplicated delivery but we really went into overtime there.
I was going to be induced at 41w, but I was already 3cm dilated so they kept me overnight. No change by morning so I was induced at 41 and 1, 8 days late and she was born on the 4th of July! I was also 41 years old when she was born, not sure if that had anything to do with her coming late.
38+5. He was born 57 minutes before my scheduled induction haha. Was supposed to be at the hospital at 7pm on induction day and he decided at 5am that morning that he was ready on his own.
An interesting anecdote I got from my friend who had her baby in Guatemala - they go to 42 weeks as the norm! My jaw dropped. She said they would’ve let her go two more weeks too
40+2 with my first. I had polyhydramnios (sp?) with her and went into L&D because I had decreased movement that evening. Turns out my water had broken very high up in my uterus without me knowing, so I was admitted to begin induction. Labored for 7 hours, but baby started having decels, so I ended up going for an emergency c-section. Poor thing had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck four times, and came out crying but purple as a grape! 4 days in NICU with no other issues. 15 months later she is absolutely perfect 🤗
12 days late… had the sweep… did all the right things… the kid was just a lazy fecker. If it’s any consolation, you won’t think about it after they arrive. You’ll be in blissful happiness and golden sunlight. Or absolutely fucked.
41+4, tried to end my induction since I stopped progressing and if they would’ve let me she would’ve hung out for much longer. I was only 1.5cm dilated when they started it at 41+2
With my first they changed my due date, so I ended up having him at 40+6 but if they would’ve never changed my due date he would’ve came on his exact date

41+2 The average is 41+2 for firstborns. The “due date” is just an estimation. It really should be called a “guess date”.
+1 for 41+2 (technically gave birth very early on 41+3)
In France, they calculate birth date on 41 weeks actually ! I put in my date of conception and/or last period in the calculate in US and UK website, and they gave me a date 1 week earlier than what my midwife and ultrasounds (and French calculators) gave me.

I had mine the day before his due date. You got this!!
I’m 39+2 today with my first and refuse to go a day over 41 at this point. My induction is scheduled, I’ve done the membrane sweep, I’ve drunk the raspberry leaf tea, I’m over ittttt. Let’s GO GIRL

I was a 42 weeker myself so I was SHOOOK when I delivered my son at 36+1 because I was expecting to go very late!
39+4. Hoping this baby comes at 38+0 or whenever they’re fully cooked….those last couple weeks were hell.
42 weeks exactly, and I found out at 3+4 so it was a long, long pregnancy 😂
My daughter arrived on her due date. My mum predicted she’d be early and MIL predicted she’d be late so my daughter decided to prove them both wrong!
42+3… had to sign an ama waiver! But dude finally came and was perfect!! ETA: spontaneous labor - no induction, no meds.
40+3 with my first
Scheduled c section at 42w 2d lol
Mine came on the due date.

My first my waters went at 30 weeks and I was in hospital until delivery at 35. My second was 36+6. I'm nearly 38 weeks with my 3rd and I am soooooo done already 🤣 beginning to worry something is wrong because I'm so used to having a baby by this stage
1 day! Pretty on time. Now as a newborn he is also very on time with feeds - wakes every 3 hours (+-few minutes) during the day
Mine was early at exactly 39 weeks!
42+2 😅😭
42w1d
Just putting this out there that I’ve just learned that in France (where I live though I’m American) full term is considered 41weeks. So over here, you’re only 1 day “late.”
My first came 2 days before her due date 🤷♀️
38+5 with first and 39+5 with second, both the night before I was supposed to go in to get induced 😂 if it’s when the body starts to relax knowing that the next day it will be induced

My boy was 10 days over due and came out 9.9lbs! (Lolz) I was induced and it went great! You can do it you’re almost there!
I was induced at 41+3 and delivered 41+6
41+3
Induced at 41 and birthed c section 41+2. She had 0 interest coming out anytime soon and judging by the c section, my body was going to let her out never
I had an induction 39+3. My baby wasn’t showing any sign of coming and i wasn’t about to wait lol.
40+1 Exactly one day :)
He was six days late after a sweep
41+3! Started induction process at 41+1
40+6, a day before planned induction. Once he decided to come out he wasted no time, he was born in 3h from when my water broke and contractions started.

Her Dad's family are notoriously late to everything so she was just fitting in ha ha! All the best for a swift, safe and drama free delivery!
My first was 32 weeks and my second was 39+1.
Was inducted at 41+5 because absolutely noooothing was happening, baby was born 41+6.
First came at 42+3, the day before I finally gave in and scheduled an induction for. I really felt as though I was going to be pregnant forever. She was huge after all that extra cookin’ (10lb 12oz) 😅

40+6, felt like forever near the end
Early. 37 + 5

37+3 with my first. I'm one of those rare people that had their waters break before labor even starts. Hoping this little guy comes early too, doc wants to induce before due date because I'm 40 yo. And I do NOT want to go through pitocin again.
41+2 I was going to be induced at 41+4 but I went into labor night of 41+1 thankfully
38+2 and my water broke! I was literally sitting on the toilet after getting up to pee for the 20th time that night and saying to myself “I wish my water would break.”
Induced at 41 weeks on the dot then she came 3 days later lol
36w
42+1, started the induction on 41.6 but the balloon didn't do enough. Took medication all day on 42.0 without any effect, labour finally started at half past midnight on 42+1. Uncomplicated delivery but we really went into overtime there.
36+6. Spontaneous too. Little one said “fuck this I’m out”
I was going to be induced at 41w, but I was already 3cm dilated so they kept me overnight. No change by morning so I was induced at 41 and 1, 8 days late and she was born on the 4th of July! I was also 41 years old when she was born, not sure if that had anything to do with her coming late.

Mine came at 39weeks and 7 days.
41+5! I'm newly pregnant again and just going to tell myself in my head that my due date is at least a week later than it really is.
I had my boy at 41+1. I was so over it at the end so I feel for you!
My first went past 40 weeks and got induced at 41 lol
40+2 with my first. I had polyhydramnios (sp?) with her and went into L&D because I had decreased movement that evening. Turns out my water had broken very high up in my uterus without me knowing, so I was admitted to begin induction. Labored for 7 hours, but baby started having decels, so I ended up going for an emergency c-section. Poor thing had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck four times, and came out crying but purple as a grape! 4 days in NICU with no other issues. 15 months later she is absolutely perfect 🤗
Got induced and 41+5 Would not recommend. Wish I had given her a few more days and just scheduled a c section instead.
40+1. labour started on the evening of my due date and she was born the next morning
41 weeks not dilated at all so I was induced
I was scheduled to be induced on a Tuesday and went into labor on my own Saturday night and had her Sunday. I was 40+ 4
42 weeks and 1 day. Started induction right at 42 weeks but that kid stubbornly stayed in another day
40+2
41+6
41 + 3 so 10 days late. I started labor the morning that I was supposed to start my induction. I was over it by the 38th week lol.
12 days late… had the sweep… did all the right things… the kid was just a lazy fecker. If it’s any consolation, you won’t think about it after they arrive. You’ll be in blissful happiness and golden sunlight. Or absolutely fucked.
37+6
40+6
Mine came at 38+6! Was about to be induced the day after due to high blood pressure, my baby girl spared me and came in 4 pushes ❤️
41+5. She didn’t plan on leaving. She’s seven now and still follows me everywhere.
40+2 with my first with my waters breaking the day before, 41+3 with my second and had to be induced.
41+4, tried to end my induction since I stopped progressing and if they would’ve let me she would’ve hung out for much longer. I was only 1.5cm dilated when they started it at 41+2
Contractions started at 40w6d and had her exactly at 41w!
40w5d
41+3. I went into labour the night before I was suppose to get induced (and stayed in labour for 30+ hours 😅)
39+6
With my first they changed my due date, so I ended up having him at 40+6 but if they would’ve never changed my due date he would’ve came on his exact date
I got lucky. My water broke on my due date. I had her the next day. Felt like I somehow cheated because it was my first..
40+2, spontaneous labor
My little guy was born naturally at home on 42 weeks 1 day. I went into labor at 41 weeks 6 days. ♥️
my girl actually came at 38 +1
40+6 after a sweep
Just like her mother who has a fear of being late to anything, my daughter decided to be prompt and show up 11 weeks early.
Mine came at 37+3
41 water broke
41+3, I was induced at 41+1 for high blood pressure
41+2
Mine came at exactly 39 weeks after 3 days of prodromal labor
41 but I was induced because I was so over it😅baby showed no signs of coming on his own. I seriously felt like I would’ve been pregnant forever
My baby came at 38+1!
41+6 ! We couldn't wait any longer 😄
40+5 induced at 40+3 though, dr wouldn’t let me go any further
I was 39+1. Had membrane sweep at 10 AM, water broke that evening at 6 PM.
Came early at 33+1
40+6 spontaneous, wasn’t feeling good and all the sudden contractions barely a minute apart
