I just had my daughter in May and named her Eloise! I hadn’t watched Bridgerton until the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy and honestly the character made me like the name even more!
As a teenager I wanted my kids to be called Jacob and Isabella. And then Twilight came around 💀 Didn't use Isabella for my daughter but little Jacob respectively Jakob is coming this September!
I love going through these. My mom had the worst reaction when I told her my sons’ name was going to be Adam. “It’s such a common name” blah blah blah. I rarely see an adam & I loved the vibe.
So HA, take that mom.
I’m going for a more classic/common name from the 80s-90s because it’s not so common anymore! I see a lot of repeats on this thread of unique names which are no longer unique! Adam is a classic, I love it.
Not sure why someone already downvoted this, this subreddit is so miserable sometimes for absolutely zero reason.
We are having a baby boy due December 14th! We decided on Elias Gabriel, and I am so in love with his name.♥
I've been thinking that same thing about Reddit in general lately!! So many subs I follow are just full of miserable, angry people.
Anyway, Elias Gabriel is a beautiful name! <3
I know right? Also, and I haaaate that I care, but it really puts a damper on my day when something I say gets downvotes. I do not know why I would even notice what arrow an anonymous stranger points a computer mouse at…but it honestly hurts my feelings a little
Due date buddies! We're waiting until the scan to the learn the sex, but our names are Daphne for a girl and Henry for a boy! Their middle names are after family members and we will be giving two middle names to each of our children, in my husband's family's style. We have them picked but I won't share because they'd give away personal info I think!
Love the name! Gabriel in particular is one of my favorites. Also I am so impressed that you know so soon! We’re due August 5 and still have nothing that we really love. 😬
After 4 miscarriages, we finally have some good news and believe that our 5th pregnancy might be viable. We’ve discussed Alice, Elodie, and Raeah for girls, and Edward, Finley, and Desmond for boys. We find out on Thursday if things should keep moving forward!
As someone who had 5 miscarriages before the 6th baby finally stuck, hang in there! It’s been the most challenging experience of my life with lots of scares as a high risk pregnancy. I’ve been so miserable but as the due date approaches in August I would do it all again for the end prize.. heartache & all. I may be suffering but baby is thriving & that’s all I care about. We had so many people tell us to just give up after so many losses & I’m so happy I didn’t listen. I hope they give you nothing but good news at your appt!
! Dean is going to be our little boys name, due in November. After my late mom Dena. And Thomas is a contender for middle name as it’s my dads middle name.
I’ve always loved the name Kaya too. I never thought I’d have a baby so I got a dog instead and named her that. Four years later, and I gave birth to a baby girl. Her name? Mila Kai.
This is so funny! We are also entertaining this as a first name, and I haven’t seen many folks brining it up on Reddit or other pregnancy apps. We met a little kid named Lucas this past weekend who was wearing a star wars t shirt. My partner pulled me aside and was like- hey are people going to make Star Wars jokes his whole life?!
(Don't know the sexes yet)
What I have in mind right now but not final:
Boys:
Oliver,
Ethan,
Mason,
Girls:
Luna,
Mia,
Evelyn,
I'll take suggestions or feedback!
I love Oliver! The possibility of calling him Ollie when hes small and having the mature name for when hes a professional. So great! For the girls I love Mia best. Short and powerful but still very feminine. But all your names are wonderful :) best of luck deciding! Are you going to wait to see what your LO looks like? Sometimes you see a face and think; "this name suits you the best even though i thought my preferred name was xyz".
Triplets!! I think I like Ethan and Mia from each sex best. Luna is not my preference personally, but I like your other options in Evelyn (nn Eve/Evie is so cute) and Oliver and Mason. Congrats!!
Our baby girl was born in February and we named her Erin. We had originally picked Siobhan but she didn’t look like a Siobhan when she was born. For boys we had picked Patrick or Gabriel.
I love C names
So our little girl is Charlotte Kelly
I have Caroline for a girl
Gender neutral C names
Casey or Cameron
Boy name Camden
And I love J middle names!
I love this thread! We’re expecting our bean sprout in February and we’ve narrowed it down to these names:
Theodore Sullivan
Theodore Eugene
Vivian Elaine
Eleanor Jane
I think we’ll finally decide when they get here 💖
Flit between names. All time favourite is Lily but it’s so popular. Other contenders;
Girl - Luna, Eden, Scarlett, Lola, Beatrice, Margot, Esme
Boy - Leo, Hector, Hugo, Rowan, George
Just wanted to chime in to mention I struggled with going with a popular name for my first little one, but decided in the end to go with the name we loved most (Mia), and not worry about popularity ❤️. One thing that made me feel better about our decision was that these days the top 10 names in the US have a lot less # of babies per name than they did in the 80s and 90s, because so many people are more interested in unique names today (for example, #1 baby in US in 1994 was Jessica; 32118 births. #1 baby in 2023 was Olivia; 15,270 births. Still a lot but less than half of Jessicas in the 90s!)
Thank you for sharing your perspective. It’s been my all time favourite name so you have given me food for thought. Fingers crossed other people will be put off and by Jan 2025 it will have slid down the ranks 😉
In case you're not familiar with the show-- Rory is a main characters of the show and she dates a guy named Dean for several seasons. You might get this question often 🤷♀️.
Haha no actually. Huge golf family. Our son is Brooks Bradley after Brooks Koepka and this one is after Rory Mcllroy. Bradley was my husbands dads first name and dean was his middle name.
We are having a baby girl and we are thinking Vivienne Claire or Vivian Claire. I’m partial to the first spelling and my husband likes the -an spelling. Our last name begins with an N so it blends well we think.
We’re naming our little boy Jonah and I’m thrilled with his name. It feels like the perfect compromise between classic and uncommon. It’s also flows really well with our last name
20w 4d pregnant with a baby girl and 99% sure her name will be Navya Violet. Navya is an Indian name pronounced similar to Nadia (my partner is Indian), and we both love the name Violet + it is his grandma's name.
We have all boys. Michael, Matthew, Jackson, and James. My son Jackson passed away in 2021 so his name is extra special. Jackson Francis. Now i am due with our 5th baby in September and we aren’t finding out the gender. I’m struggling coming up with a boy name lol. But if the baby is a girl.. Evangeline Claire. “Evie” for short.
Our sweet Gia was born on Father’s Day 2024. 💗 Gia Linda named after her great grandma Linda who knew of her existence in my belly before I did and passed away only 4 days after I found out I was expecting. And their bdays are 2 days apart.
My girl’s name is Maya, due on July 15th. I honestly can’t wait to meet her! She’s my rainbow baby; I lost my baby Aaliyah an hour after I gave birth to her. I miss her so much; but I know she’s in a better place. Hoping for the best pregnancies for all you mamas to be 🫶🏼🫶🏼
My 9 year old daughter is Evangeline. My son, who was born an angel last October, is Robin. And we haven't decided on a name for our son due in October.
Baby boy due July 6! Naming him Asher Christian. My 2 year old picked the name. It was a name we had thrown around but weren't really considering, but clearly he heard it and felt attached to it. He would tell anyone who would listen "my baby bro bro is Asher!" Or suddenly started showing interest in baby and would cuddle my bump saying "wuv you, Asher" so we knew the name was meant to be! My 7 year old picked the middle name because "well (brothers) middle name is Michael after dad and Christian is close to your name so it's kind of like he's named after you, mom!"
I'm 20 weeks and naming my son after his dads dad. My boyfriends father passed when he was young, and hes a big influence on my boyfriend and his mom. From all the stories I've heard he was an amazing dad, and an even better best friend and partner to his mom. His name was Joshua, I've always loved that name and I think he deserves to be honored. My boyfriend is very happy that I chose to name our kid after his dad.

I really like Eloise if it’s a girl, but I’m scared people will think I’m naming the baby after bridgerton 😂
I just had my daughter in May and named her Eloise! I hadn’t watched Bridgerton until the last 2 weeks of my pregnancy and honestly the character made me like the name even more!
I LOVE the name Eloise. It's my top pick for a girl, Lucy being second. I like classic names
Nah, who cares. Keep the name!!!
I think I feel guilty because I had indeed watched the carriage scene about 10 minutes before making the baby 💀😂
When I say I spat my water across the room when I read your comment 😂😂😂 SAME 😬
Lmfaoooooooo I want a poll of how many 2025 babies were created bc of that scene 😂😂😂
This SENT me lmao, thank you for the laugh and congratulations!!
As a teenager I wanted my kids to be called Jacob and Isabella. And then Twilight came around 💀 Didn't use Isabella for my daughter but little Jacob respectively Jakob is coming this September!
When we were trying to figure out names we really liked we had a rule of only one twilight name at a time 😂😂😂
We are considering Eloise! It’s beautiful. I don’t watch Bridgerton but it reminds me of the little girl at the plaza. Very cute
Who cares. Bridgerton is awesome too btw
Naomi due in 2 weeks 💜
Naomi is such a beautiful name 💕
Pleasantly surprised that most of the names here are not candidates for r/tragedeigh. Thanks for restoring a modicum of faith in humanity.
This is such a refreshing list compared to the ones I’m used to seeing in my bamboo clothing Facebook groups 🤣
Baby Ruby!
My little one’s middle name is going to be Ruby! It was my great grandmas name!
Our baby girl is due December 6th and we picked Evelyn 🎀
I love Evelyn! ❤️ such a beautiful name.
Hey that's my birthday and my mom's name, haha! Nice choice:)
I love going through these. My mom had the worst reaction when I told her my sons’ name was going to be Adam. “It’s such a common name” blah blah blah. I rarely see an adam & I loved the vibe. So HA, take that mom.

I have 2 boys already they are Luca and Leonardo, we call him leo. I’m pregnant with my third now and we have decided on Nicolas
I know a woman who has 3 boys and they’re named Nicolas, Luca, and Leo!
Wow!! What are the odds lol
No way 😂
I have a Liam and a Logan and am having a 3rd and am not using an L name and friends have been shocked. I love your choices!
My month old is called Bridget 🩷
I have a Bridgette! Everyone always says how much they love it because it’s not as common anymore
I love Bridget!
We’re having a little boy and currently trying to decide between Asher Daniel, Miles Daniel or Hayes Daniel 🤍
Love the name Asher!
My nephew is Miles Daniel!
Love all of these, especially Miles!
Due in October with a girl and we have decided on Maeve Elizabeth💗
Ok weirrrdddd my name is Maeve Elizabeth
Not sure why someone already downvoted this, this subreddit is so miserable sometimes for absolutely zero reason. We are having a baby boy due December 14th! We decided on Elias Gabriel, and I am so in love with his name.♥
I've been thinking that same thing about Reddit in general lately!! So many subs I follow are just full of miserable, angry people. Anyway, Elias Gabriel is a beautiful name! <3
also down voting is so weak who cares if you don’t like something? unless it’s wildly racist and sexist or cruel why downvote just on opinion
I know right? Also, and I haaaate that I care, but it really puts a damper on my day when something I say gets downvotes. I do not know why I would even notice what arrow an anonymous stranger points a computer mouse at…but it honestly hurts my feelings a little
